It really matters not what native tongue this song is sung in. I have n't a notion what the song is about. All I do know is that the voice, the emotion and the melody are compelling and I can only imagine that to understand the words would add further to what is clearly a beautiful piece of music.
This is beautiful beyond words. Bless you for posting. This makes me want to seriously take on the task of learning the language. While I'm 2 generations from 'Eirinn', it doesn't make the hunger to connect with who I am any less strong. I pray that these traditions and this language live on far into the future. Not having them would be a sad thing.
Thank You for This beautiful song in ancient language.Thank's to Roselyne for linking me this song.Maybe some Time I will visit this beautiful płace with nice people.Artur
Strange...I do not speak Gaelic, so I have no idea what this song is about, but it brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it.

Also from Scotland. :) I wasn't sure if this was Scotch-Gaelic, or Irish.

En bedre versjon av Brian Ó hEadhra. En Gælisk lullaby som Lars Andreassen (Larssa) har gjendiktet på lulesamisk. Nyydelig..
