Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if these folks got some kind of compensation for agreeing to make asses of themselves, like a plasma TV or trip or something.
It's not like we don't know that American Idol is kinda sketchy ethically anyway.
People know when they have a legitimate talent, and they know when they don't. Nobody's THAT deluded. If they are, they're on too much medication to sing in the first place.
