  • I was born in 1996 I'm 15 now and I am disgusted of what has become of music today. My favorite bands from back in the day

    1.Outfield

    2.Bon Jovi

    3.Boston

    4.Aerosmith

    5.Guns N Roses

  • I too would give anything to go back to the summer of '85. 20 years old, junior in college, chicks, beer, and more chicks all while trying to maintain a 2.0 GPA.....life was Damn good. Played the he'll out of this cassette tape in my 1983 rx-7......thanks for the trip down memory lane.

  • @LakerChava63 all of us were really blessed because our times were diffrents than today

I too would give anything to back to the years 80's and 90's .

this really pure music not as today. I remenber when I was 23 years old huyyy!!!! my God it was really good music

greeting to all those who lived those beautifully days I know you won't never forgive them right??

    from their friend -soldado azteca.

  • wew...

  • Gaga thumbs down.

    The Outfield thumbs up!!!

    Back to the 80´s!

  • mathew turner of evanston wy 82930 you suck.

  • This song was played when in high school driving the 80 vette to school. Partying with chicks. Yeah, drinking beer......

  • @bucswnsb37 and what? we can still do that..well almost everything but the corvette

  • how i wish i was 6 years old.. now im 19... and i really dont like RNB... i mean no offense.. this is what you call music guys..

  • The summer of 85 lol, im only 18 so i dnt rly kno but the best times looked like the 70s to me.

  • When white kids acted white.....

  • @hebegb5150

Exactly. The downfall of good music and real rock began between 1990-1992 when white kids started to sing rap, that's when the grunge and hip hop came in and when classic rock ended. So sad :(

  • @FireTiger941 Nothing ever ends. Faith!

  • I was well into my thirties when these guys hit with this album. I contend it might be one of the best power pop albums ever made.

  • Like so many said, I feel like I went back into time. I miss those days so much. This is real music!

  • Im glad there are some people out there who appreciate The Outfield. I grew up to this and everytime I listen to them it makes me miss my childhood. There wasn't a care in the world. That was when life was amazing. A round of applause for The Outfield!!

  • What a great song from a great album. IMHO, this band was way, way underrated. Tony G. Lewis and the boys did a great job. Those were some awesome days in the mid 80's and this band helped make it that way. The album Play Deep was followed by The Diamond Days - obviously a baseball theme.

  • This album rates about the same as "TNT - Intuition" in the "never-got-noticed-properly" -meter.

  • Ohh Yeah sing it out loud!!!!

  • i was 11 when this came out...screaming 'say it isn't so! Tell me i'm the only one!!!' lol

  • You got that right!!!!

  • where are bands like this today? I agree with ChivalrousMike 7 months ago--this song makes me feel better

  • great band, great songs, immortal songs.

  • mrcairosfriend -

I know you posted 4 months ago but OK, I'll take your soul... Let me know... I'll send you back in time...

  • i would sell my soul to go back and re-live the summer of '85...

  • maby we can work something out? your soul for 1985?

  • by replying to my comment, you have given me YOUR soul. see how easy that was? it will be much, MUCH harder for you to get it back... MWAHAHAHAHA!

  • what soul I never had one. now how about that deal.

  • Those were the days.

Not like today's 21st century hellhole

  • @ThoughtTraveler

Remember the other one hit wonder classic by Til Tuesday "Voices Carry"??

  • @mcfallb

OH WOW! Now you are Really taking me back. She was hot!

  • @mcfallb Yup. Totally great song. Never hear it played anymore. Once in a blue moon on classic rock stations. Boy, these guys (The Outfield) rocked my world in 1985, big time.

  • @ThoughtTraveler i agree with you, but the bands of the 80s and 90s still doing greats songs like the red hot chili peppers and iron maiden, so even when the time continue, the bands of the old-greatest times still being aswesome

  • @mrcairosfriend Thats a bit much but... That was a great time for me as well!!

  • @mrcairosfriend me too bro i was in 11 grade

  • @mrcairosfriend

I hear ya! I graduated in '85...that summer was so awesome.

  • @mrcairosfriend ..I would sell my soul and donate a kidney tore-live the summers from 1985-1991(graduated91) . Music was great....pop rock like the Outfield, Simple Minds, the Fixx etc etc.....and great hard rock bands too. It was all good!!

  • @mrcairosfriend definely I agree with you..

  • @mrcairosfriend You're not the only one. ;)

  • @mrcairosfriend I almost feel that way about summer '94

  • @mrcairosfriend all of us here listening to this great song would be right there with you. What a blessing to have all those fond memories to look back on.

  • I'm a southern man...

    The truth shall remain...

I love this song and video...

This song makes me feel better...
