  • Most of my friends have the Kaplan books but concentrate mostly in the Q bank. I think is a mistake to answer questions without reading and understanding the material first. Im not rushing myself and Im trying to understand the material as much as possible. Thanks for validating my opinion.

  • @adiazrivera completely correct . good luck

  • Thanks for the advise. Im actually studying for the USMLE Step 1 and have tons of things to read although Kaplan books are my main resource.

  • Great advice: COMLEX, however, seems to love minutiae and vague questions... USMLE is a better test...

  • @noponat666

my advice is to do uw not coplex .

  • WoooW, Marvellous!!, loved the inspiring ending!!!. Well done!! :) onya onya

    ^_*

  • Thank you for the great advice! You said in an earlier reply that Goljan is not memorised but understood, so what did you exactly to understand? Just listen to lectures & follow in Rapid Review & that's it? And do I do the same with Kaplan & understand it only & then focus on memorising FA by heart or do I study it properly?

  • @sallysheta that is wright , just read and read , try not to memorize try to understand .

they test the big ideas not the details , understanding not memorizing , believe me that is the way it works

  • @drmam17 Alright, thank you very much. Sounds very reasonable. Good luck with upcoming steps!!

  • @sallysheta Oh sorry, one more thing, you said do ALL the NBME exams, wont that get reallyyyy expensive?? Or are there free versions online, and if so would you it be okay if you post the link for everyone. Thanks again.

  • @sallysheta sorry i do not have the link for nbme

  • @drmam17 Never mind...thank you very much anyhow.

  • hi i tried to take step2 first but i failed so now i am trying to take step 1 but i am afraid to refail i think your video is helpful and motivating so thanks to you and if you have more tips i am waiting..............

  • @abcdef6109

    hi there

my advice to u is do not go to the exam until you ready :)

forget about time it may take three months or three years but in the end u will make it 99 or fail so be patient and study hard and make sure that u will get 99 at the end if u just be patient and work hard .

  • Really like this video... It gives a lot of hope. I am actually impatiently waiting for my step 1 score; it should be coming out next wednesday!!! Trying to keep positive by reading (and watching) other success stories =). Wish me luck!!!!!

  • @themd109 thank u

i hope u will get even better score :)

  • I got the same score on name 11,7,3 but the last nbme are more like the real exam

  • @drmam17 why 6,7,11,12 what is the difference in each one? as compared to 5 and lower? and what score did you get on each NBME? was it predictable to the last 4 NBME's you took? I hear if you get above 450 to take the exam soon is that true? I am taking one in the next couple of days I've been studying for a while and I need some advice I was starting with either 5 or 6 but not sure where to start because I was told the earlier numbered ones are old and out dated plz help me if you can thnx

  • Thank u I wish you get the best score ever :) My advice to you please DO NOT GO TO THE EXAM UNLESS YOU ARE READY Ok please U said u r not prepared and u can not reschedule , believe me the money that u r going to lose is not worth your future , so please make sure u are ready before you go to the exam ok Thank u

  • i am a single mom, and IMG with many years of graduation but I am not going to give up. My test is in two weeks and unable to reschedule since I already did once. I feel unprepared, however, I now know how to get prepared for the Step 1. Thanks for your advice

  • Thank u , I started with anatomy , bio , physio, then phar, micr , psych, and last was pathology , it is all abot patho, do not memorize at all , just understand and try to connect everything all together , yes I was working pt
