she's a very lovely dancer. but her upper body should really "dance" with her. it seems that she has a tendency to be stiff.

Well, if she was truly 14 when this was filmed, I'd say she has a LOT better upper body/epaulement/port de bras than most young dancers of her age! Remember, upper body refinement is usually the last thing to come. Lower body technique and bravura usually comes first.

@kdub10009 Well, in China, our teachers always tell us that Japanese people have better control of their upper bodies than many other races (not being racist...) Although I don't really know why.
