People are just used to the conventional way of singing. For a sellable record that is the in thing. She sings like a pro with her own style already and so far way too much for X Factor. If she had toned it down and sang staright she would still be in the competition. She was singing as if she is already a star and not too keen as a competitor.

Physically, Laura has a problem. She looks abnormal.Something is not right with her looks. Therefore she has not got the X factor and even Simon thought of that. She looks old, she has a big face and big bone structure. If you look at her from head to toe, something is really wrong. The public did not like her so did not vote for her. I highly suspect that maybe she incurred an illness like meningitis when she was a child and thats why she looks like that.
It doesnt matter what she looks like, why does she have to look "beautiful" to have the x factor - and i think she has a VERY unique style, and i think shes lovely x x

Her being kicked off X factor may have been heart breaking for her, her fans and other veiwers but over all, being kicked off the show might pay in the long run for her. Oh dear. It looks like the majority of people who post commnts on here wouldn't know a good singer if they fell over one! Laura good? Naah. Average maybe, but she aint all that. Alex and Ruth are way better. Laura sings like someone straight out of the sixties, too breathy ('hhaa- hhaa' at the beginning of every line.) It was sickly to listen to. Her voice was either weak or she was shouting. Reminded me of Cilla Black. I for one am glad she's gone. Let some real talent win, like Alex or Ruth.

It was not a tacticial vote at all. Louis and Simon made the right decision based on the performances - Ruth was alot better in the final showdown. However that being said nobody can be blamed for Laura going then voters, as she was not given enough votes. Her and Ruth being in the bottom two was a joke. Rachel and Daniel are awful and are sailing through due to sob stories.

From the show yesterday I could not half of what Leona was singing. U dont get to hear those singing voice they use during competition once they win. Anyone could hear what she was singing? The public likes to hear the same old, same old, safe sound...the ones that you hear all the time and when someone comes along like Laura or Diana, they can't get their heads around unfamiliar territory because it's not the style they are used to hearing.
Anyone who has sampled a wider range of music outside of the mainstream chart stuff will know what i'm talking about otherwise i can expect blank faces.
If only people would listen and understand the diferences.

Oh dear. It looks like the majority of people who post commnts on here wouldn't know a good singer if they fell over one! Laura good? Naah. Average maybe, but she aint all that. Alex and Ruth are way better. Laura sings like someone straight out of the sixties, too breathy ('hhaa- hhaa' at the beginning of every line.) It was sickly to listen to. Her voice was either weak or she was shouting. Reminded me of Cilla Black. I for one am glad she's gone. Let some real talent win, like Alex or Ruth.

It was not a tacticial vote at all. Louis and Simon made the right decision based on the performances - Ruth was alot better in the final showdown. However that being said nobody can be blamed for Laura going then voters, as she was not given enough votes. Her and Ruth being in the bottom two was a joke. Rachel and Daniel are awful and are sailing through due to sob stories.

she'll make a living from singing because technically she does have a great voice but like austin before her she lacks star quality. if it was really just a singing competition why is diana in the running? does diana have the x factor? when laura was pushed outside her comfort zone during disco week she looked awkward and lumpen when she tried to sing AND move. she deserves a nod of recognition for her voice (unlike diana who is vocally useless) but laura white is not the second coming, folks!!

Laura is an incredible singer and, who needs a gimicky image when you can sing like she can. She doesn't only do ballads, isn't boring but is world class and can sing 'somewhere over the rainbow' better than anyone around.
