  • Pretty borderline. You can see he doesn't go in two footed, but you could also argue it was dangerous play. It probably was a red card, but I wouldn't have been surprised if it was only a yellow.

  • thats a pretty straight red. anybody who argues with me is a faggot who doesnt know shit about football

  • ALL U ENGLISH PEOPLE CAN SUCK MY NUTS

    USA USA USA !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Terrible tackle beckham deserves a red

  • SFP, that's it. A Red.

  • Mexican ref

  • Conclusion: Yanks are shit at football

  • he fell after he got tackled...im confused

  • Buncha fucking pussies

  • @jahlove17 hahahaha.... a "stern" yellow, yeh? As opposed to other grades of yellow :D

Reminds me of 'A Few Good Men' when Demi 'strongly' objects and Kevin Pollack disses her. I ain't hating mate, it just sounds funny. Maybe it wasn't a 'severe' red :)

  • Lmao... An ejection!

  • Harsh - but fair... his studs were out and could have done some damage. Other player milked it though.

  • no one who knows the rules can say this is not a red

  • definately a red

  • y do people think this is any less than a yellow. attacking a ball cleats up is guaranteed a card, no mater if the player makes contact or not

  • not a foul man! he hit da ball first

  • Some referees just call that a foul and a stern talking to afterwards, and others give a yellow. Both would be appropriate. Red isn't.

  • what a shit decision. that was barely a fucking yellow.

  • That didn't need a red card. At most should have been a yellow. I agree that it should be carded but not direct red.

  • A red for that!? Here in the premier league that wouldn't get so bad. How else would Joey Barton survive a whole match?

  • @RobAnderson0 In the premier leaque its no different, shut up already. It was a fucked up tackle, people who actually play football correctly shouldn't be doing that in the first place.

  • @TheCoastGuarder I'm guessing your American then haha. It's quite a bit different actually

  • this was a difficult situatoin for the referee but i think he did it right ..

  • Sort a was a dangerous play.

  • That was a bad tackle.

  • Im English and I think MLS wil be one of the best League in the world in the future

Its already better than the SPL(which is a joke) and on Par with Englands second division

    The Yanks got the Money,crowd,stadiums,sponsors

Mind you MLS is a newish League its not even half as old SPL . The standard of MLS is 'ok' but ofcourse nowhere near the Prem but trust me they will be one of the best in the future

Sounders got HUGE fanbase and rival europe clubs attendance

  • European Leagues put MLS to shame.

  • i LOVE Beckham but he did deserve that card

  • haha....get em shariot.

  • Well deserved!

  • thats my cousin being fouled!!!!

  • yes im a big fan but the intent was punishable ref took right decision great to see bex tackling though

  • I hate looking at the comments on football/soccer videos because there is always the few assholes who make the clever little remarks about americans and soccer... grow the fuck up because you just make yourself look stupid. Its a sport and if you enjoy it, play it.. who are you to say that americans shouldnt or cant play soccer because if youre hear sitting on youtube im willing to bet that youre not as dedicated to the sport as some americans are. i rest my case

  • @FBIMarsala here* i havent slept haha whoops

  • @FBIMarsala Well said.

  • @FBIMarsala americans are famous for being fat ignorant people who like to bomb and and take stuff from weaker countries specially oil

  • @urdeath999 I doubt you could make yourself sound more ignorant. I could list the stereotypes of all countries if you want me to but then I'd sound like an idiot too.

  • @urdeath999 you couldn't sound more ignorant dummy.

  • I'm a huge beckham fan but at the end of the day he did a two footed aggressive tackle it's always going to be a red

  • he touched the fucking ball, USA should just stay out of "soccer" omg

  • That tackle could of 50/50 end his career or maybe result in a ankle like eduardo's.

  • @NewHipHopPlus very well mate ! was not trying to prove you wrong , there is a place where MLS belongs , like the australian leagues they have good moments , but my saturday football team has better moments more often , i dont rate it very highly and wouldnt watch it if they filled the MLS with a million old spent european stars. they only do it to sell shirts and it works ! so fair play , but no one cares about beckham in england anymore , only when hes trying to win us the world cup xD !

  • @pearljamdanno MLS > A League. nuff said.

  • time to go back to baseball america , no hate responses please cos i just wont look :P

  • time to go back to baseball america

  • @NewHipHopPlus :/ im a massive fan of football (soccer) MLS is really awful , xavier was awful (i am a liverpool fan) beckham and henry came for money and because america has nicer weather , the PL is much better .european football is the best. just an opinion , we will see who wins the club world championship , if one of the americas or asian teams beat barca then that will shock me .

  • why did beckham sink so low and play in the low class MLS................he should have played in the mexican league, it's way better than playing with those women in the MLS.

  • @santosh92 Fuck you piece of shit beaner, go back to frijole ville with your shitty drug using Guillermo Ochoa.

  • @cvcgac dont say we cant play football when we tied you in the world cup dumbass

  • americans cant play football. Its good that beckham came back to england

  • @cvcgac Did he? where is he playin now? o.o

  • @igorkovacevic230495 MU. Doesnt really get to play alot tho

  • I didn't really read these comments but i got the general idea... Once again, English heads dissing the MLS and Americans and football. I'm English, and i find these so called fans of football a bunch of wankers, the English ones that is. It's sooo boring and tedious, the relentless attack on the U.S game. Beckham and Henry play there, can't be that bad. Whatever their reasons for being there, they still went as world class players. Its all football, from the park to the Champions League. Growup

  • @designeranoraks you are the first english person to speak up for us i love soccer im american

  • @designeranoraks wow what a beautiful comment, are you expecting a cookie from us?

  • @KLAANITSIJA Dunno, is cookie a euphemism for dumb but willing fit cheerleader? :D

  • AN EJECTION

  • It ended up being a dangerous play, but I don't think he intended to hurt him. It was a bang bang play and looks worse in slow motion. That should've been a yellow IMO.

  • wasent worthy of a red card yello maybe

  • @usuck87 no that was definitely a red card. he could have broken the guys leg. ive seen a tackle like this many times and most times the least injury puts the layer injured out for up to 2 seasons. some get their legs broken in 3 places after a tackle like that.

  • i dont think beckham is doing good for LA. i think they could have done better with the money they spent on him .

  • @yonsoon dude, hes playin in the MLS, y should he try ? its not even 1 of the best league

  • @MSqdAsianM00nwalk3R you're right, but mls is fun to watch because there's not nearly as many people diving!

  • @CashSmeller true cuz they go in hard & if they do dive u can totally tell

  • @yonsoon not sure beckham doing amazing was the aim anyway, getting masses of people aware of the MLS and LAG is my guess. I never knew many MLS teams before Beckham joined im not going to lie. Although its not the most popular league football could become pretty big in the next few years in the USA. Which would benefit almost everyone who supports the game really, they will never beat the BPL though haha.

  • lmao Vagenas. wonder where he ended up!

  • This Red Card moment is being brought to you by McDonald's, and as a Sounders FC fan (to quote the McDonald's slogan) "I'm lovin it" LMAO, David Beckham gets "booked BIG-TIME!!!" (my own term for getting a red card) So nice knowing you Becks, don't forget to write!!! :) LMAO

  • The refs name is Ricardo Salazar, i know him personally and i can tell you he didnt get fired. haha its a good conversation starter when you can say you gave DAVID BECKHAM a red card is a soccer game!!!! Beckham is still one of my favorite players, but after having my leg snapped in half from a tackle like that, ya red was a good call.

  • What nobody knows is Don Garber fired that ref IMMEDIATELY after the game.

  • @possefever I can assure you that Ricardo was NOT fired and that his decision was correct. Referees with an International Badge are never usually fired. They may not receive any assignments for several weeks/months, but they will be back on the pitch using much better judgement than before.

Ricardo is one of the best in the Americas and this decision was correct as the extreme recklessness of this challenge could have been career ending for the recipient.

  • @Stinger49 I know they are never usually fired, but Salazar violated the #1 rule of MLS refereeing: NOBODY cards David Beckham. NOBODY.

  • straight red... but compared to EPL its still soft challenge hehhehe

  • @mrovinm alright we get it, epl is the best blah blah greatest league in the world blah blah

  • @DaKillerBizcuit - U got it.. then gud... then blah blah n then blah too...

  • Beckham is a twat.

  • It was only red because it would have broken his leg.

  • That was no red card, it was a strong strong yellow. Im a Galaxy fan but I I think beckham was a but harsh but no red.

I am happy with the Sounders support, its good for the MLS. But i dont like em since they seem to have a stick up their arse about the galaxy. dont know why but i guess its the domination we seem to have over them

  • jesus American commentators should NOT commentate on football...

  • cause there aren't McDonalds outside the USA or anything..

  • who cares how many people attend the games. I bet 15,000 nutter trabzonspor fans are louder than 40,000 seattle founds

  • notice the mcdonalds sign ;) yep thats usa alright

  • did the announcer just say "(gasp) thats a red card!! that means ejection??" well duh!!

  • very debatable red card

  • david beckham recieve the "mcdonalds red card"

  • david pls go back to europe and continue to play real football not american mls shit

  • Beckham's revenge on ex-team-mate. Pete always gave Beck's shit about how much he earned.

  • lol MLS...what a fucking joke!!

  • @unknown2022 Yeah...40,000 fans in the stands for a Sounders game (their average attendance) even without Beckham. What's that about MLS being a joke?

  • @trwfilmsinc it is a joke.

  • @trwfilmsinc 40, 000 fans is like one side of a stadium in Europe. So yeah, MLS kinda sucks.

  • @benjamyn18 You do realize that Sounder attendance is above the average EPL average attendance right? Stamford bridge only holds 40k, and Qwest field still has another 20k seats left yet.

  • @slidewaysgts Exactly, if Stamford bridge had those extra 20k seats, they would be full.

  • @benjamyn18 Seattle's attendance is top 40 worldwide, shut the fuck up so you wont make any more dumb comments like that.

  • @nike2376 Pssst. You need to weigh in population percentage.

  • @AlexisCapri Ok, but still 40,000 fans is rare in Europe and definatley not one side of a stadium. Also Seattle's population is just over 600,000 and they already have an American football team and a baseball team as well as the University of Washington sports.

  • @nike2376 That's not entirely correct, 600,000 in a very small city boundary (Seattle is only about 80 sq. mi.) The entire metro is well over 4 million.

  • @benjamyn18 don't be silly. there are only one or two stadiums in europe that have 80,000 seats. 40,000 is very respectable.

  • @trwfilmsinc The city is big and just look atthe density of clubs in the US

  • @trwfilmsinc it's a joke because they suck but i do have to say that the MLS is way better than the Mexican league, i just can't stand to watch MLS because of how slow they play but at the same time they rush everything and it's just irritating to watch

  • @trwfilmsinc Call us back when you've got a team in it.

  • @trwfilmsinc MLS is a huge joke. Stop fooling yourself.

  • @trwfilmsinc so a decent amount of people watch it? doesn't cancel out the fact that the standard of the football being played is complete arse.

  • Comment removed

  • @trwfilmsinc Crowds are so high as America is a nation of spectators

  • haha mcdonalds :D omg typical americanS!!!

  • @TheRedSkin2009 haha cocky dicks. typical europeans.

  • @TheRedSkin2009 yeah, cause you'll never see a McDonald's ad at a bundesliga match... Hell, they are the most prevalent sideline ads in every major league in Europe

  • @jiminy82

    no they arent :D

yeeah because we germans eat healthy food..

    many americans are fat...fat..fat!

  • @jiminy82 .....At least not at a VfL Wolfsburg home match at Volkswagen Arena in Wolfsburg. Maybe not McDonald's, but you'll see plenty of (both) Volkswagen (VfL Wolfsburg is owned by VW), Jack Wolfskin, and Krombacher beer ads on the signage along the sidelines, I have watched many of Wolfsburg's matches all this season and I can't recall ever seeing any McDonald's ads on the signage in any Bundesliga matches, home or away.

    GO WOLVES!!! GO GRAFITE!!!

  • @TheRedSkin2009 what are you?

  • @TheRedSkin2009 lol? germany is extremely overweight too, my friend!

  • @TheRedSkin2009

According to statistics, Samoa is the fattest country in the world, then Kiribati, then the US, then GERMANY. I bet you're overweight, lashing out because you have a poor self-esteem, German boy.

  • @TheRedSkin2009 mmm what, as 'typical' as the Community Shield sponsors?

  • @TheRedSkin2009 ignorant viewpoint. mcdonalds is rampant in much of the world

  • @TheRedSkin2009 AHHH!! I'm getting so sick of all these freakin' American stereotypes! WE'RE NOT ALL FAT AND DUMB YOU INGORANT WEIRDOS OUT THERE!!

  • @MrGodzilla2112

    not all but most :D

  • @TheRedSkin2009 mcdonalds is everywhere...

  • @TheRedSkin2009 idiot..

  • SOUNDERS FTW!

  • ejected not sent off ? go and commentate on nba silly commentators.

  • oh come on thats a yellow not a red

  • OH THE IRONY MACDONALDS IS THE SPONSER!

  • he got the ball with his back foot hahaha

  • WTF is that Beckham ?

  • no doubt that is a Red Card

  • Woah. WTF. I had Ricardo Salazar as a referee a few weeks ago...

  • I'm a HUGE Beckham fan but oh c'mon that was dangerous challenge. Red card!

  • americans know shit about football. YES FOOTBALL NOT SOCCER .

  • @realmadridstyle I really wish i could kick you in the teeth right now...BTW its futbol in spain you Real Madrid retard.

  • @gvalencia4478 you wish but you can't hahah. and football is invented in europe. so its FOOTBALL retard:D.

  • @realmadridstyle LoL, well the English came up with the term Soccer to begin with, so its SOCCER not FOOTBALL. Damn europeans.

  • @gvalencia4478

go cry to daddy. it's called soccer because the stupid americans have there own " football" lol. it's football not soccer. and you can hear that the commentators know shit whaha.

  • @realmadridstyle Lol you are so ignorant. The english came up with the slang term "Soccer" in refering to asSOCiation football. English used the name long before us, so go blow yourself. Its soccer, NOT football.

  • @gvalencia4478

It's football. Soccer is a long dead slang term. And LOOOL at a yank calling someone else ignorant.

  • @gvalencia4478 It was a slang word created to refer to football, but the name wasn't changed...

Look at the badges of the most successful football teams, MUFC (Manchester United Football Club), BFC (Barcelona Football Club), the regulating body is FIFA, not FISA....

If you want to talk about ignorance, you really need to ask why the Americans couldn't decide upon a better name to call a sport derived from football, and rugby?

  • @FEDERALKILLA who the fuck cares what it's called...just enjoy the sport!

  • @CashSmeller Fuck off you twat!

  • @FEDERALKILLA FUCK OFF YOU TWATITY-TWAT-TWAT-WANKITY-WANKER-WANK-CUNTITY-CUNTITY-CUNT-CUNT!

Now i want you to imagine this in your high-pitched, girly voice, and it's a pretty damn accurate imitation, don't you think?

  • @CashSmeller Yeah, spot on! Still better than being a dumb fucking American. ;-)

  • @FEDERALKILLA i love being american! trust me, i would much rather be an awesome fucking american...trust me, i'm not dumb

  • @TheStandofTheLastGuy Your clearly not a sports person, so I'll explain it nice and slow for ya: shit like that happens every day of the week. The call by the ref was a dumbass and biased call. Beckham may not be the best, but he as hell is better then you and most of the guys on that field. So learn to talk when you actually have an opinion worthwhile to someone else, otherwise, fuck off and go suck your daddies dicks some more...

  • @GameKilIer bro, Beckham is good. But that ref is biased. no doubt.

  • Eh why did they kick the only soccer player on that field?

  • red card card for that ? that's stupid

  • @AexLan lol.. this is deep red my friend..

  • I was at this game. It was an ugly ugly tackle. Right call by the ref.

  • @TheStandofTheLastGuy He should of!

  • Aboslutely horrific challenge from Beckham, certainly a red card.

  • bekham sucks

  • LMFAO Anyone notice the McDonald's sign xD

  • @bazHDx

sadly, it goes unnoticed by Americans because that image has been embedded into our brains.

  • Bekham got a red card cuz he didnt want to play the full 90min

  • Definite Red - studs up with excessive force he has to go off...

  • What a freaking douche move by beckham the guys leg almost snapped in half.

  • "An 'injection'!" good try mate....

  • LOVE IT!! come on Becks!

  • The Ref really wanted to red card beckham !

  • idiot this isn't against beckham this is against kirovski open ur eyes

  • @mrpizzapwns111 are u serious? Kirovski is just arguing that Beckham shouldn't be given the red. at the end it shows Beckham walking off the field.

  • go SOUNDERS! best soccer fans in the US.

  • Your conversations are stupid

  • that was a pretty bad tackle but not as bad as wat he did in FIFA 98 on Argentina's Diego Simeone. that was a stupid move by him

  • One of the dirtiest tackles in soccer! You never show your cleats since you can end someone's career in an instant! A veteran should know this! If you don't understand how dangerous that move was, then you've never played soccer!

  • wooo go sounders they the best!!!

  • Brits are so pissy and hostile towards us. What a bunch of whiny bitches. Sooo in LOVE with David Beckham.

  • @jluisak you're kidding right? we were glad to see the anna kournikova of football leave these sceptered isles, along with that stick insect z list celebrity mime artist of a wife of his. seriously im suprised you guys actually like the dim witted tool.

  • @justnotcricket

Huh? Who the hell said I love David Beckham. He's what we call "Douchebag" here in the USA. Can't handle hearing his haggard voice and he's really not that great looking.

  • @jluisak "Who the hell said I love David Beckham[?]" Not I. 'like' doesn't mean 'love' but more importantly 'you guys' refers to american fans in general. So glad to hear thats not true anymore and possibly was never true.

anyways, whatever you do please dont send him back over here. Him on his own we can sorta tolerate but his wife sends shivers up our spines.

  • Correct call. Period.

  • beckham made the mistake of his life deciding to play in a league thats suitable for cow boys and gay boys (jonas brothers, justin beiber etc)

  • @vanmaarwijk

so why aren't you in the league???

  • The Uk is so small compared to USA but uk has more talent on top of that usa has 57% Obeisity im sorry but americans no fuck all about "football" not fucking soccer.

  • @BennTomoo no. The US has all its best athletes growing up playing other shitty sports. If we didn't lose a large portion of our athletes to Basketball and amer. football, the States would be MUCH better at Football/soccer.

  • @MrCool63 i always wondered what would happen if a rugby union [1 of our other codes of football] side played an american football team in each sport. then maybe we can test the theory of the athlete talent pool being drained by other u.s sports. which is an arguement i hear all the time from american boxing fans. wouldnt be a proper test in any way but itll be some sort of guage we can work with. what you reckon?
