Look at the badges of the most successful football teams, MUFC (Manchester United Football Club), BFC (Barcelona Football Club), the regulating body is FIFA, not FISA....

@MrCool63 i always wondered what would happen if a rugby union [1 of our other codes of football] side played an american football team in each sport. then maybe we can test the theory of the athlete talent pool being drained by other u.s sports. which is an arguement i hear all the time from american boxing fans. wouldnt be a proper test in any way but itll be some sort of guage we can work with. what you reckon?
