  • would the poison kill you if you touched it and accidentally put your finger in your mouth? I have always been curious to know that.

  • Looks like my mum

  • its just like ToT

  • uhhhh, i will eat you later jaque

  • It's like NEMO! lol

  • Dang, dog face puffers really hit all the branches when they fell out of the ugly tree.

  • He was going to eat him but the shrimp made a deal with him XD

  • that thing is FUCKING UGLY

  • thats a freakin evil pufferfish!

  • shrimp dentist

  • I cant believe that puffer doesnt munch on that shrimp.

  • you right LOL

  • Aww, that look on his face at the end. "Wait...come back...i...love you..."

  • That's because he loves his cleaner shrimp, and because he has a beak.

  • if i get a dogface puffer im calling it Mrs. Puff

  • WIN

  • LOL FTW! MRS.PUFF!

  • Talk about a rare video. Very Cool!

  • OMG!!

  • i wish i could get one of those, but my bitch ass lion fish will make that gone withing 3 second

  • pretty funny video name :DD

  • thats like finding nemo lol

  • That's awesome.

  • it is really cool how you have a dogface and cleaner shrimp in the same tank. they seem to be using each other really well. i wish i could put a dogface or a porcupine puffer in my tank but i am afraid that they would eat my fire shrimp. those shrimp are expensive.

  • haha not a chance with my puffers. they eat first ask questions later

  • Amazing, I've never seen a shrimp near a puffer unless it was in his mouth.

  • "clean ma face"!

  • CLeaner Shrimps are cute and funny. It's really fun having them.

  • do u think my zebra eel would eat that thing if i put one in my tank

  • These seem to be more civil than other shrimp. I've had pistol shrimp and peppermint shrimp and neither of them were very friendly, accept to a gody. XD

  • he is so fat and cute! my dogface needs to gain some fat haha. did he end up eating that cleaner shrimp as soon as he did his job? lol

  • clean, clean, clean.... chomp! lol...

    just jk...

ur puffer is good lookin, i was plannin on adding a dogface in my future 100 gallon or bigger tank... wat r the good and bad thigs bout em?

  • Well, they eat a lot and poop a lot, so you have to ensure your filtration system can handle it, high nitrate levels can result. Also they can be destructive, knocking over rocks. I would advise against putting them in a tank with hard corals, a puffer can easily break them and/or munch on them.

Aside from that, their cute, friendly and fun to have around.

  • Lol, and later that same week the puffer probably ate it.

  • Actually the worst "expensive shrimp eaters" in my experience are dottybacks, such as Neon Dottyback and Orchid Dottback. I could not keep a cleaner until my dottyback passed on. The fish would take every opportunity to ambush and take a bite out of the shrimp.

  • Same way with my GSP's and the ghost shrimp i feed them, the longest a ghost shrimp has ever lived in my tank is probably like a day or so. They get so fat when they do eat shrimp though.

  • @pedromaticus What about royal? My Royal DB has never touched my cleaner shrimp...

  • @pedromaticus Dotty backs, are indeed mean bastards. And I realize this video and comments are old, and I hate to be -this- guy... but to me it looks like the main reason the puffer hasn't taken a bite is because he looks rather stressed/sick. I dont mean to poke at your fish keeping, but you can clearly see the ich on the puffer. Also he is uncharacteristically chill for a puffer and his eyes look a bit cloudy. Maybe he is just new to the tank.

  • @jcubed31 anyway, thanks for the video and I hope the match up worked out well. For new viewers of this video, be careful of pairing puffers with any inverts.

  • the shrimp is his stylest.(how u spell stylist anyway. don't think i ever tried to spell stilyst before)

  • haha typical cleaner shrimp... jus dont care what its havin a munch on as long as its havin a munch.

  • If you stick your hand in front of a cleaner shrimp, it will usually climb on and start picking at your skin. It feels funny.

  • wow thats weird i panda dogface puffer and i cant have any shrimps or crabs or lobsters cuz he will eat it

i had a chocolate chip starfish and he tryis eating it too but he only ate the "Chips" and left it alone

  • Yea, I had a problem trying to keep stars and horseshoe crabs, the puffer would attack them. Likewise with clams.

  • @damian673

    lol

  • thats jks

  • wow thats wonderful but i thought they ate shrimp or is the puffer waiting till the shrimp has done the job lol then....GULP!!

  • WOW thats cool. I have a huma huma trigger and a stars and stripe puffer, i would love to have some shrimp or hermits in my tank! any ideas? should i just buy some cleaners and see what happens?

  • puffer doesnt eat the shrimp? weird.

  • davio,

Though some fish will eat cleaners, most seem to know somehow that cleaner shrimp are beneficial to them and can rid them of parasites. Some fish will actively seek out shrimp that aren't normally thought of as cleaners, like Peppermint Shrimp. I even had a Triggerfish that would ask for a cleaning from a large Hermit Crab. The crab would just get annoyed and bat the fish away when it came close.
