The problem with shooting the big Barrett standing isn't necessarily the recoil, a good stance can counter that. It's the weight of the system. At almost 45 pounds, it's right up there near impossible to aim and to get a round on target.

No, I mean stand up while having the gun still resting on the table. Change of stance, but leave gun the way it is. Also, that setup would be soo much quieter if the .50 was loaded with subsonics. Of course, some reloading might be involved unless someone manufactures subsonics.

The .50 BMG is about 2700 f/s fast, that is almost 1000 meters per second, 3 mach.

If you would reduce the speed to 332 m/s you probably wouldn't even be able to get the bullet out of the barrel xD

First off, it's a SUPPRESSOR, not a silencer.

That means -NOTHING-. People call magazines 'clips' in the heat of the moment, and they're unquestionably NOT clips.

They're different. A silencer means there's no report, only the sound of the mechanism. A suppressor means there's still a report, just a quieter one.

a Suppressor is for Flash suppression.

a silencer is to quieten the actually firing.

suppressors _normally_ look about 2-10cm long on the end of the barrel (like the well known .50cal sniper "Box" on the end)

Silencers can be much longer ranging from 10+cm

A suppressor is NOT a flash suppressor. In your world they may be the same, but in recognised circles of communication and knowledge... a suppressor is a Silencer. I have never once heard someone call a flash hider / flash supressor / flash cone, as simply a 'suppressor' and you wont find many who claim the same as you are doing. those who do are wrong.
