  • why do they remove the choke after shooting?

    i am very curious!

  • @702Pierce -- The person you see in the vid, call him Wayne, is one of the few people that change chokes between stations. He is using a tighter pattern on station 4 (the middle station & farthest from the targets) and a wider pattern on stations 3 and 5. Most people use a skeet choke and that works fine, but Wayne likes to smoke 'em on station 4. I believe he uses a mod or light mod on station 4 and I.C. on stations 3 and 5.

  • Loved the video. I have been a rifle and pistol shooter for a couple of years but am just now getting into shotgun sports. Great to see a guy closer to my age keeping up with everyone else.

  • @bsdmon There were two age extremes in this vid. Were you talking about the kid or the two old guys?? If you're talking about the kid, check out this video...

  • @worldskeet I meant the younger guy i'm 23.

  • @bsdmon Oh, well check out the 2010 28 gauge World Championship. He goes the distance in that one. I'd post a link, but it won't let me. It's on my channel.

  • is this american skeet?

  • @rudeboysofos

Yes, this is American Skeet. These are just the shootoffs, which are doubles from stations 3, 4, & 5. In order to get to this shootoff, they had to shoot 150 out of 150 in singles. (This is a special event for world championships though. Typically you only have to shoot 100 out of 100 to get to the shootoff.)

  • @worldskeet

Ahh, thanks for explaining that. I was confused why they were not doing all 8 stations.
