Overall impression is that this is a useful resource. There are a few improvements you could make though:
1. the commentary is too quiet and hard to hear; would be helpful to have on screen prompts/text as in the Tascam video to reinforce learning.
2. I found the verbal instructions quite quick to follow and could have done with some features being explained more fully as in the Tascam video eg. when you would use a certain feature.........
It is short and to the point and so fulfils the intended purpose. For a quick recap this would be great. What would make it excellent is if you had the kit to play with whilst watching as I learn best by doing!
Hi thanks for the tutorial, think it needs a few things however.
1) Audio / voice needs normalising, its just too quiet. This can be done easily in Adobe Soundbooth or in open source package Audacity.
2) Visual aids in terms of onscreen text would really help with the voiceover, make it easier to follow.
3) Might be easier to show points on the device display with a closer up macro lens filming it, and also maybe using a stylus or similar pointer to point out buttons
Your background is a bit scruffy and holding it in front of the camera isn't as easy on the eye as sitting it on a surface. The sound is a bit quiet, too. Also, from 0:26 to 1:02 the finger pointing to the buttons is coming from an odd angle from the cameras point of view so looks a little funny. Would have been nicer if that hand was coming from the left side of the frame.
Instructions are well written and very clearly read out.

.....
3. I preferred the look of the film when the device was placed on a surface and not continually held. Also a pure white background looks better.
4. the tone of voice and manner in the Tascam video was more chatty and less formal and I found this more engaging.
5. would benefit from close ups of the screen as hard to see features of display being described.
