i got this game on xbox 360 an the controls are great, besides the fact that the manual says to press LT button to reverse where as instead its just to change into reverse gear. this was the same when pressing RT to go into drive gear. this got annoying and i would reccommend it despite that tiny control problem.

P.S. if you want the 360 version you need to pick up the dreamcast collection including 'Sega Bass Fishing', 'Sonic Adventure', 'Space Channel 5-Part 2' and 'Crazy Taxi'.

In order to do a fair review, you should have played the arcade version of Crazy Taxi first. You would have noted the blocky polygons for the people in the city existed in the arcade too. It had nothing to do with the Dreamcast port for the Gamecube. Lower polygon counts were simply that era in time when the game was released. Truthfully, the Dreamcast version was nearly arcade-perfect, if not better due to the added levels & mini-games. I'm glad Gamecube gave it justice over the bad PS2 port.

the arcade game and the DC and GCN games are virtually the same game just that the arcade version has a steering wheel and the DC and GCN versions use a controller. equally good.

I have it for Dreamcast, GC, and PSP. Dreamcast and GC are the only ones that have the original arcade music. The PSP has some other music I don't recognize BUT you can play your own Mp3 Music in the PSP version just by placing them in the Music folder and turning on the Custom Music option. Press Select to change songs during play. I still like the Dreamcast version the best. IMO I think it's the closest to the arcade version.

You should review Smashing Drive. It's a very fun game that's close to crazy Taxi, but you don't pick up customers. It's crazier than crazy taxi due to the power-ups.

I don't know if you'll agree with me on this, but I think that while playing this game, I thought that sometimes the graphics looked were similar another game that I disliked: Superman 64.

As for the review, I think that you described the game fairly well. Although one thing that you should have done was to describe on how STUPID the people are for jumping out of the cab when the driver drives incorrectly, or should I say, NORMALLY, I still found it quite funny when they jump out of the car.

and yes, in my previous comment, i accidentally said fun twice in the same sentence, lol. most racing games focus on being realistic, or have some kind of logic to them. this game is different, and unique, which i like xD

my cousin has this game, and he hates it. i have no idea why. my only issue besides not updating the graphics in the gamecube version is that it's lacking a bit in the challenge factor (apart from the time limit), and i think they should've given you more to do in the ports.

to be honest, i think that you enjoyed the gamecube version less than the dreamcast version because you've grown older since then. for instance, i remember that i used to enjoy crappy film-based games, and now i don't. and i think that ppl enjoyed the arcade version more because you actually had a steering wheel and pedals to play with. i finding driving games in general to be more fun in the arcades, cuz there they are more realistic and fun.

How did you make the jump past the K point? on the first mission

@GreenXcite It was a bit tricky to figure out at first, but it's so simple when you do know how to do it. You have to perform a Super Crazy Dash. To do this, you have to put it in reverse at the beginning, then put it into drive, then IMMEDIATELY after you put it into drive, accelerate! You can see me do this all over in my review. As I'm driving I'll quickly put it into reverse, then quickly drive then immediately accelerate. It gives you the fastest speed! ^^
