Another interesting fact is that Psygnosis' logo was designed by British artist Roger Dean, who also did cover artwork for the rock group Yes. He is also credited for designing the current logos for Tetris.
Also, Psygnosis was one of at least two companies who made "Face-Off" games for Nickelodeon's game show "Nick Arcade", which ran between 1991 and 1992 or 1993.
Good to hear that the heart of Psygnosis/Psyclapse is still alive and kicking; I'd actually like to see the actual Psygnosis name and logo brought back into circulation. It was an emblem that you always knew meant two things: a game with amazing graphics and sound, and (perhaps more importantly) a game that just oozed MOOD. The Shadow Of The Beast series is one of my favorite game series of all time, and it had the most amazing mood and atmosphere; that's what made their games amazing.
man i wish they keep going with colony wars:red sun and up with another one for ps3 at least with better things and making it way cool the i loved all colony wars game hope they come out with more of those kind in the future not similar but something that better like those.
ahahahah I wrote the wrong comment, I meant psybadek was my favorit game, but this was about more games in general, I think its funny how the people rate you badly without asking, why you wrote something-.- gosh...
Psygnosis is still around, a large chunk of Sony SCE as we know it grew from Psygnosis after sony bought them.
The original Liverpool psygnosis company is still going too, it's just known as Studio Liverpool. Some of the original guys from the 80's are still there.
Still, About time sony revived the psygnosis brand really. If they can use the spiderman three font on the ps3, they can get roger dean in to something that actually looks good.
What a fantastic company, a real shame they're no longer around! They made some of the coolest and slickest looking games on the Amgia and the Sony PS!
Adding Roger Dean's beautiful and exotic paintings to the game covers always made them stand out and give them that extra speical edge, even if the game wasn't so good!
Trying to remember if I created the music for this one... It seems familiar, but I created quite a few 'stings' for Psygnosis Intros over the years, and never saw/heard them again! ;O)
Would the Playstation had been so successful if Psygnosis hadn't developed games for it ie. Wipeout was touted to be responsible for selling Playstations when they were first released, in fact Sony loved their products so much they bought Psygnosis......says it all really.
Psygnosis where streets ahead of other developers in '89/90, their products where and are so polished that in my eyes they set the president for the rest to follow. I'll never forget when i first saw the intro to Blood Money on the Amiga, i was blown away having never seen anything like it before.
I'd love to see a video like this with the Amiga Psygnosis best of. Like the intros to Armourgeddon, Blood Money, Awesome, Stryx, KGS, and other heavy-hitters, edited together with a killer musical score.

psygnosis games are the best ones, the new name of psygnosis not make the company games change, that's cool!

Buddy, they're gone! I think Sony gobbled them up. Why, I don't know. What a loss for us all!

Awesome. What are your views on the possibility of a Metal Fatigue reprisal?

I can't remember where this was made. Was it at Vector TV in Stockport?
I know it was for E3 in Atlanta.
