  • I agree with everything in this video. X

  • can I be your friend

  • would you suck nigger dick?

  • pretty interesting. what causes the eyesight problems amoungst albinos

  • That makes the world interesting - different people, some you like, some you tolerate, some you don't but personality is the core :-)

  • hey and if wandering yes i am an albino and camera shy so you probuly wont see me for a while but hear me alot but i have a question how do kids in school say about you having albinism

  • Do you now what the % of the albino population?

  • you look extremely pretty, and super sweet :)

  • you're awesome! mashaAllah.. very inspiring..

  • Lol Pale skin, and the sun irritates you? Why aren't you onTwilight?

  • @iShank2Win not funny

  • i think albinos are kewlest ppl on planet

  • haha lol i do aikido too now somehow your much more friendly to me^^ i dont know how to explain it....

  • Hey, i have albonism as well and i have some questions... Well do you wear glasses? Or are you supposed to or what.. Do you like being an albino? Have you ever been sunburnt and been so scared that you got skin cancer from it? Do you drive? And did you carry a kane in highschool? That's all my questions (: and hopefully you'll be able to answer them (:

  • You're so lovely and laid back. It's very interesting to hear from someone first hand the everyday experiences.

  • Heya wats dat ting u put at yur eye to c the screen? An ar yur parents White or black? Tanks:)

  • @nicolewynne1212 its a magnifying thing, i think it's called a monocle but i'm not really sure, anyway it's like a minituree telescope/binocular thing that enlarges what she's looking at so she can see it better

  • @LilDeadKitty oh ok thanks

  • @LilDeadKitty its called a monocular (like binoculars). i have one too :)

  • You are a wonderful girl! You are smart and pretty and I love that you are confident enough to teach others about Albinism. Thank you. ;)

  • Is that rumor that albinos are not good with the sun true? And btw you are very pretty, dont let people get the better of you :)

  • I love your videos! They are so interesting!

  • are your gums white as well ?

  • I'm so sorry for you that must be horrible!:(

  • u fine ass hell

  • Hello! Thanks for the video you shared with us! You seem a brave girl :)

  • u r so cute and clever,wish u lived in london so could ask u out,lol..

  • =D i want to have white hair like people with albinism :) it looks so mythical/beautiful

:) I really think there's a lot of GOOD that comes with albinism.

  • I like the differences people have- glad we arent robots. Most albino girls/women are very beautiful and sexy and thats nothing i say just to please them, no! i mean it 100%. I dont rem the name, but i saw a albino woman (painter) not long ago, wow she is beautiful, i couldnt take my eyes from her. And Razeasha you are very beautiful too- hope i dont offend you by saying it.

  • Would it be possible for someone with albinism to dye their hair another color so that the condition would be less noticeable?

  • what happens when u go to the beach. do you burn?

  • Socially, I've been made fun of my entire life for how pale I am. Though my eyes don't shake as much as yours (my brother's eyes shake a lot) and my hair is naturally a light red, people have always found ways to pick out how my eyes move and make fun of me. My brother and I almost had to learn braille when we were younger. We both are angry people, which I've been told some people with albinism and nystagmus also have attitude problems. I'd love to talk on a personal level with you. =)

  • @SupsupDANA I think most people with disabilities have to deal with being made fun of. Just a couple weeks ago, I had a girl gasp and ask what was wrong with my eyes. She wasn't being mean, but it made me stop for a second. I'm not sure about the attitude problem. I can be a hateful person sometimes. but I have my reasons. I'd love to talk with you.!

  • @Razeasha Yeah, people always ask, "Hey, why are you so white?" "Why can't you tan?" "Hey, I've never noticed how your eyes move. Why do they shake like that?" It gets kind of annoying. My mom bought me a shirt from the nystagmus website, and it helps sometimes when I wear it because some people will actually read it.

  • @Razeasha

I'm glad you didn't. I know what albinism is, but I'd still probably would be a little shocked to see an albino. No offense, I'd probably get used to it rather quickly though. Someone who's never heard about it, probably be shocked and curious.

  • My Friend forget I have Albinism too. When they do that you know they are good ones.

  • because your albino does that make your teeth white?

  • @moranclan556 No, teeth are not affected by albinism.

  • @moranclan556 people are supposed to have white or white-ish teeth anyway.

  • Social awkwardness... I Suck, I have Albinism and Aspergers syndrome, what a interesting (and messed up) life I have, and walking away from a security guard? Interesting tactic, if it were me (I'm in rainy England) I'd just call SAVI (some weird charity that gave me my cane, which is super small sized).

  • @TheThoughtfulCloud How is it super small sized? I wanna see? My cane is shorter than the ones of the two other legally blind people that I know, and we all use different tips.

  • @Razeasha I don't actual know the tip, all I know is it succeded in not being noticed as it managed to trip someone up. Yay. It's probably this one: AmbuTech symbol cane, i'd give you a link to the RNIB shop page, but Google messed up even more and won't allow links anymore

  • My kids both have albinism. my question is the varying of nystagmus. Most days my daughter is seeing very well and then some days she can be practically kissing things to see them. Can you just help me understand what it is like for your nystagmus to fluctuate, does it change your acuity greatly, and things that can worsen nystagmus for you. Plus anything else you can help me to understand what nystagmus is like. Also how does photophobia effect your vision in classroom settings. Thanks

  • What you said about your teacher struck me. I have found that with my 4 year old daughter with albinism. She cannot tell if people are joking and she many times thinks people are being short and angry with her. I tell people she is not picking up facial expression cues. She used to hold my face between her hands and stare at my mouth then ask Mommy you are not angry. Now who could be angry at such a sweet little girl. Thanks

  • Hi i have Albinism too!

    But i have darker hair

    and the sun doesn't

    really bother me.Um but yeah

    I was just wondering

how do you see in school

because for me it's very hard!

  • I use a monocular and a magnifier. I don't know what the government will provide where you live, but a CCTV Quicklook might help you. What exactly is hard for you?

  • just mostly seeing thats all!

I am a little worried about when

i grow up though and have to

    get a job.

  • What university do you go to? Do they have good disability services?

  • Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA. As long as you let them know what you ned. They are very accommodating.

  • Have you even eaten at Cracker Barrel? They have a large print menu. It's cool. I've had to ask whats on the menu sometimes or I'll jump out of the car and look at the menu. I just say out of the sun as much as possible. I haven't worn sunscreen since my highschool graduation. I got a really bad burn with spf 45 lotion put on every 20 mins. I am a night person. Oh, as legally blind goes... In the us legally blind is 20/200 corrected in your best eye. In my case 20/200 corrected.

  • I haven't eaten there in a long time. I might have to go there now... Avoiding the sun is the best method. Thanks. I couldn't remember whether it was 20/100, or 20/200.

  • About being touchy feely, did you ever do sculpting?

    Or other ways of expression?

You probably have the best roommate ever.

Got a quote from Mahatma Gandhi for him:

"The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others."

    Thanks again! :-)

  • I prefer to talk rather than type, but for the sake of not flooding my account with videos, here are your answers:

My mother is a potter, so I help her in her studio and sculpt some myself. I really enjoy glazing my pieces. I also like to draw, act, and read poetry out loud. Pottery, reading, and drawing all require a magnifier.

I do have the best roommate ever.

  • Thanks for answering my questions!

    My name is Maarten Horions.

    You can call me Martin.

You don't have to make a new movie for the next questions if it's a lot of work, typing is good to.

I guess you have to use your imagination a lot more then most people.

Do you have a wild imagination?

Can you see like everyone else when you are in a dream (when you sleep), or is it the same as if you were awake?

  • Nice to meet you Martin!

I have a pretty wild imagination. I think it's a combination of having albinism and being an only child.I don't know what the world looks like to everyone else, so in my dreams I just see as I usually do. Although, in my dreams my lack of sight isn't usually a problem, the sun does not hurt my eyes or burn my skin, and people don't say offensive things about my condition.
