I remember this only too well. I was there and in tears. It was hard to believe. We have moved on since then. I guess football is like life in many ways. A red forever.

I was there too. Was gutted when town went down. In those days a town defeat would ruin my whole weekend so going down effected me badly. New era under fitton and Wilson and the good times are ahead

crikey i was at this game!...i was 16 years old. Somerton Park is no longer there. Newport County are still going tho, in the conference south. Cheers
