  • fucking good. Any similar Artists? Too underrated and unfortunately not well known.

  • @wwwverticalfm why would you make this a bulletin? you guys need to embrace the internet.

  • Musicians are people too....of course they should be paid. They have families to feed and mortgages to pay. i love idm and purchase quality cd's like this when i can. i dj'd for over 20 years and can't even try and explain how much joy music gives people...a song can change the world as much a bomb can in the artists hands....

  • wow, this track is so dubby!

  • Nice kordz!

  • Beautiful track. IDM ++++

  • Very cool tones and mood-Cheers.

  • if your music was really good, people would want to pay to see you perform live. Trying to make multiple sales off of one song is why I think music should be free. A farmer sells new crops of produce every season, he doesnt try to sell me the same pumpkin every year

  • @sisigwithrice Wow! Thanks for this comment, i will be interested what others think about it...

  • @wwwverticalfm i agree with that guy. none of the strategies you use here will stop pirates, but it certainly may frustrate potential buyers that your 'free sample' has been ruined out of greed. if someone likes your music so much they'll suffer through a youtube-quality rip, that's a compliment. you act as though you are not in the business of helping others hear your sounds -- are you in fact in the business of preventing non-payers from having enjoyment? your tactics suggest this.

  • @meatsock Well, this was just one trial and we stopped using the breaks directly afterwards. We already relaced one of the 2 vids with a breakless one. However, we did that also because of the preaussure from you guys. Remember: you couldnt hear more than 30s on itunes before they increased to 45s. Do you call itunes greedy? We are only losing money from releasing music just to be called greedy here... Put yourselves in our place! I have more great albums, but the feeling grows you dont deserve

  • @sisigwithrice its good! its definitely something the Manila crowd can gather around... however we like to hear our DJs live, meet them, show them around and feed them -- but if the music's not well known e.g. passed around, not a lot of people will be able to groove to it or get excited to come to a live show (well, of course that goes without saying)

  • @sisigwithrice i think all music should be free...not because im poor or cheap....i just see music like an idea of sorts...its spreads like one...and when someone hears it, they dont ignore it directly. they have to listen first hand....then sparks another thought....im down for the perpetuation, what about you?

  • @JavaSpitLava I already forgot about this; I gave it a listen again... its still "ok lang..." so idk, maybe someone will buy it - if I were in the middle east, i'd buy this. Manila cannot afford online like that though... but... what we can do is download the free 90 seconds, loop it, add effects and put it a live show! lol just kidding

  • @sisigwithrice your philipeano?....or is this just an example....i love their loompia.......and besides you need a much better song to play live.....theres alot missing from what i hear....not just effects

  • @JavaSpitLava True. So would I, a hypothetical DJ from outside of your music circle, want to go through the trouble of doing all that to spread your music? Its been a month already btw, got anything new?

  • @sisigwithrice im confused......not by how you know im a DJ but by how you say its been a month already....your asking if ive made any new music?...did you get this conversation entangled with another

  • @JavaSpitLava yeh! "btw" means "by the way" -- well I know youre a DJ coz you put this music out. I know its been at least a month coz that's when my first comment was put on. So back to my question (now actually modified), do you have a free album to share...? Even restaurants send out a guy with a tray of free food :D

  • @sisigwithrice Watching YT is free and its an appetizer. If you like the taste, enjoy the whole meal - but not for free. For free, you have to watch for food on the floor or in the garbage.

  • @sisigwithrice HAHAHAHAH yea you definitely got me confused with vertical.....im not the one who produced Isolex......LOOM did....my music project hasnt been release on the internet yet....but i do have some samplings of my music....myspace.com/hightechambient......these are 2 years old....so in some instance my old music

  • @JavaSpitLava Ive never seen anyone comment so much on a track that wasn't his. Im already bored with this track. I keep coming back to have to reply to you fools when I am done with this issue. There is way too much free music out there for me to be wasting time debating whether or not I wanna hear this. Its FINE. Its OK. But asking for money on it is pushing it for me. So long, so long, and thanks for all the fish!

  • @sisigwithrice im just a bored person.....the internet gets realy boring once youve learned everything you wanted to learn.....so i chat for now

  • well listening and watching art should be for free in my opinion :D That´s what its all about .. but if you want to own it you should pay for it .. well the prices are a little bit to high because the market is full with the same kind of sheet out there ^^

  • @SinnimLeben Well, In a marxist society you might be right. But why should a banker, butcher or coalminer be paid an not us??? I love my job, but I cant do it right without money...

  • today with this kind of music,if you seak profit, you can only do it by live shows...and that is realy rare...

I'm from Serbia, and here you just cant go to a place and hear anything experimental, nothing even close to this...

But i know alot of underground artists who have a decent number of supporters who go to their small gigs xD

in this industry only a few names get money...

Find a job, unafortunatly this music dosent pay off.

  • You can't worry about piracy as an artist or label. A vast majority of the people who pirate music will NEVER buy music, period. They get everything digital for free.

There is no lost profit from that 'market'.

In many cases, however, a pirated album actually convinces a non-buyer to buy, go to a show or two, or buy a T-shirt. A widely pirated album is talked about, blogged about, and eventually bought by the wider market of people who are afraid to download illegally.

    Food for thought.

  • @ehhhhhhhhhh You are not telling me anything new. But you must get specific. SOME, MANY, FEW people? This means nothing. I am not worried about the chinese or african pirates who would have ever bought something. I am talking about the people who would have bought it if there was no piracy. Whats so hard to understand about this: Less people buy something if it is available for free somewhere. And this loss is not at all compensated by buyers won by piracy.

  • @wwwverticalfm "I am talking about the people who would have bought it if there was no piracy." Well, it can't be uninvented. Piracy is here to stay, and every piece of music will be pirated.

  • not bad...but with that marketing aproach i hope you dont sell anything...lamers

  • @mojamamaduda Thanks, very very friendly. May I quote you in my upcoming article "The psychology of music piracy?" How about putting yourself in our place? Tssss...

  • The producer of this track should start working with gaga!!

  • I think, best way would be not to crop something off, muting something or something like that (something, something, something ;D)

make a really low audio quality version like 64kbps and upload that! thats exactly what I used to do days back... if people cry for quality, then they should buy it.

anyways, now Im heading to iTunes to buy it, brilliant track!

  • @Recklessness89 YOU MADE MY DAY. We will experiment with 64k.

  • @wwwverticalfm No problemo ;)

  • anti-piracy ? anti-listening ! , now am never going to-not just buy anything relating to a ridiculous 90 seconds after cut-but also never listen to anything or anyone who thinks thats acceptable , which is or shuld be harsher than a non-purchase if u indeed consider yourself a music maker .

  • @boredandwise You got used to listening to music for free, especially on Youtube, now you take it for granted. Do yoyu also shout at you mother / wife because just once she even dared not to provide a warm dinner?

Let's talk in 10 Years, when you won't be able to see videos unless you have a paid YT account...

Also, it's interesting how serious some folks take this without even beeing involved. You lose absolutely nothing by us putting such videos online. We lose our jobs, man!

  • @wwwverticalfm

jobs ? blame monetary economics what does that have to do with me ?? i dont endorse monetary economics so i dont endorse the reasoning behind exchanging entertaining content for monetary servitude or AS monetary servitude , so ...... HUH?

  • @boredandwise You do endorse monetary economics by using YOUTUBE, part of the biggest online company in the world. Also: People tent to justify whatever is good for them. This is exactly what you and others here do. Actually, what you say is: "Gimme you f***ing music for free, a**hole, then die".

    I've met wiser men...

  • @wwwverticalfm

monetary economics (unfortunatly) runs the entire world , kinda unavoidable if u havent noticed , so no...my use of youtube should not reflect my ideological stand-point on life in monetary economics, and ...gimme ur music n die?? , i think ur getting confused with "earn your living ...or else" tagline of monetary economics which again......I DO NOT ENDORSE ,i dont support ppl forced to make music because "they're starving n life depends on it" if thats wat u mean.

  • @boredandwise Ha! Now we are talking. My marketing efforts also dont reflect my political views... But i love my job of releasing music, promoting new talent etc - and i want to do it until my dying day, which will be rather close if i cant afford food and shelter...

  • @wwwverticalfm

i want your needs to be met so you can do music for all the right reasons and not because you have to so u can aquire food and shelter ,and you shuldnt feel compliant with servitude to any kind of system that exchanges servitude with any kind of unsustainable form of said food and shelter , when theres no use for said servitude apart from one that organizes to feed some and not others ,which is a use for a system nobody should endorse ,this convo shulda been about piracy instead

  • @boredandwise Sorry too drunk and tired to comment, but seems we're both no caught in the matrix, fair enough...

  • @wwwverticalfm

nah dude FUCK THAT , you totally went super asshole and insulted me several times with nothing relating to wat we were talkin about , the part about my mom and "i've met wiser men " ?? yea remember that , i want a full apology at least for those ya JERK!

  • @boredandwise You totally misunderstand. I never insult anyone. Read again closely. Did you UNLIKE this video? If yes, for what reason: A) Because you dont like the music B) you dont like our antipiracy methods or C) because of our conversation?

  • @wwwverticalfm

read again closely ? another hostile insulting comment , am done with you man , your a horrible person.

  • you should read up more on piracy as a marketing ploy

  • @purplenumberF Sorry, my english might be too weak. What do you mean?

  • this music is great and all but I have to say the people behind the marketing for this suck. grow some balls and put out a full tune without destroying the quality. a promo is supposed to promote the music not annoy the listener. why would I share this song with a friend who may or may not purchase the music? I wouldn't because its poorly executed, a 4 minute song with only 90 seconds of digestible audio?

  • @puretroubleman Another post beyond reason. Well, your nick says it all...

  • @wwwverticalfm its within reason. you are working with a niche market and need to get more exposure and you are trying pretty hard to get the least possible. this is your problem, not internet piracy (which in your case will actually help you)

  • @puretroubleman How can piracy ever help us???

  • @wwwverticalfm by allowing your artists to get exposure. so far only 243 people have viewed this song in 3 days

the majority of which are probably subscribers like myself. because of your policy on "anti piracy" people are not that willing to share this music with friends. ok so 243 have viewed in in 3 days, how many have purchased it? at the most 25% but I'll say 10% thats 24 people and at £14 a pop thats only £336 if you was to improve the quality of the promo you could triple this.

  • @puretroubleman 243 in less than 3 days is probably our best performance so far. I totally agree that a cropped video is less likely to be shared. So to us its a calculation of weighing lost sharers against prevented downloads.

But much more interesting are you assumptions about sales: It's not 10%, not 1%, not even 0,1%. I doubt that 1000 YT plays make me sell 1 album more. Give our 170k plays and 1700 sold albums since May, it would mean that YT accounts for 10% of our sales.

  • @wwwverticalfm second comment see the first. I would go even further, if you was to release this for free to the pirating scene you could get even more exposure, which would in turn cement more business for your label. you will get increased sales, increased attendance at events, increased sales in merchandise at said events, more organisations will (like the bbc) will purchase your music for tv shows and such

  • @puretroubleman Your thought snake is biting his own tail. Sure a free release will get a lot of attention. But more business? how of everything's free? BBC purchasing CDs? They never do - especiall not IF IT IS FREE. You dont know the music biz. Anyway, i appreciate the discussion, but i think by now, I've heared all of those weird advises. I will put it all together in an article I will be glad to share for free :-)

  • @wwwverticalfm I may not know much about the music biz but I certainly know about piracy. I've pirated a lot of music, but I've also purchased a lot of music and a lot of the music I've purchased has been thanks to the fact that I able to listen to previous work done by bands and groups via piracy. take a look at in rainbows and the Gregory brothers (auto tune the news) they release stuff for free yet 1000s of people still pay money for there work.

  • @puretroubleman But you can fully hear it here. All you have to do is rais the volume after 90s. The preview value isnt lowered a lot, you can get the full content of the song. So, your critizism is all political. Why cant you just say "Hey, it's great to get free stuff everywhere... " Why do you people (everybody does) have to justify yourself? Your views got so twisted by beeing used to free stuff you even want to FORCE music makers to provide stuff for free.

  • @wwwverticalfm my original issue is to do with how the promo was done. you wouldn't put it on the radio in this state would you? I would hope not. my secondary issue is with your views on piracy. you need to get with the times, theres nothing you can do from stopping piracy, I could very easily purchase this album then put it on the piratebay which is why you should embrace it.

  • @wwwverticalfm third comment - what you are currently doing is akin to a company making a product, offering free samples but limiting these free samples to 99% of the original product (maybe like a lick of icecream) and claiming that they are doing it because people are stealing the ice cream.

  • @puretroubleman Sorry, 1 lick could actually make me buy the ice cream - and maybe 1 pack every week later on. A track will only be bought once - if it all.

  • @puretroubleman I'd be interested what @longded would say about this - he bought the track...

  • This feels very early 90s to me... the sort of gorgeous ambient techno you would find someone like Carl Craig producing, and Colin Dale/Colin Favor playing on Kiss FM (London). Must buy this!!!

  • Nice track. I could just listen to this stuff while laying on the couch and analysing the texture on the ceiling :)

  • yep I think thats a winner formular! on all fronts! ';]]

  • @longded ??? SOunds good, but err... what do you mean??? :-)

  • @wwwverticalfm good tune good break beat in tune~nicely obscured from quality usage, all in all a pretty toasty promo! ';]]

  • @longded Ahhhhhh! YOu made my day! Check the discussions with unhappy fans about my previous promos... :-)
