Honestly it states that they are interference motors. but for some reason it never hurts them when they do jump time. Allot of probe owners that work on them will tell you they are non interference. They will say ford is wrong and i will believe them any day of the week i have worked on multiple 2.5 KLDE's that jumped time i re timed with new components and started right back up. Its not good to ride the limiter but like i was saying before in the description i was trying to do some thing...
ur right on that.... ive had some jump time also.... 1 or 2 teeth an it was ok... but my buddies jumped like 6 an it needed the heads done....i have my 94 now...mine is a klde... well its a 93 motor with the klde cams im doin some work to. ive had it for 5 years.... it has headers full exhaust an full intake... it runs pretty good.... i see u live in ohio we will have to get together an check out eachothers ride... im from the akron canton area....
sounds good but very stupid... never hold the rev limiter that high on a probe motor.... that a zero tolerance motor.... if they jump one tooth in time pistons smack valves... ive hade my pgt for 5 years never hit the limiter once... nice ride tho
Nice i was looking to put one up these on my 95 ford probe gt but i didn't want it to sound like a rice burner and that sounds pretty sweet! Thanks for testing it out!
shit i just a flow master series 3 street muffler, i actually thought it would not make the car sound any better, but my jar dropped. it had my little probe sounding like a freaking muscle car and it sounded like a freakin monster. but that's about all i've done to it freaking cops tryed to take it from me so i've been laying it low for a while.
do you really want to know what makes that sound, its my timing belt i put a brand new timing belt and tensioner on it and never put the covers back on it i like it better like that easy timing :)
