Oh, also, the phasic rounds allow you to damage an enemy's health while their shields are still up, which is why they do less damage. Normally you will have to take down their shields first, but with the phasic rounds equipped you do damage to both simultaneously. They're awesome.

Just FYI, Charm is used in dialogue to get certain objectives and/or rewards you wouldn't normally have access to. In order to increase the max ranks you can put into charm, you need to act good/just in dialogue with NPCs. Intimidate is the same, except you need to act aggressive/self serving to increase max ranks. Very useful skills.
