Ths is transitional Pink Floyd that I really got into. After shedding their psychedelica origins and before donning the shroud of doom woven by Roger Waters they made music that might have been a little hapharzard in spots but I prefer this period to the latter. Dark Side of the Moon (great as it is) was a harbinger of darker things to come.

Yes, Obscured by Clouds was essentially a rough draft for Darkside of the Moon even though it was a soundtrack to a movie that no one knows of let alone remembers!

If you'll notice the prelude to this song is almost note-for-note "Time"

Just a bit rawer...
