  • hey man i love the vids! i dont think you carry too much but then again we must have come from the same tribe. trust me it aint to heavy when you need it! i carry a sig 229, 21 in asp, a really old surefire light, ruger lcd, a benchmade auto, and a coldsteel pushdagger. so anyway keep em commin and if people dont like the videos then f%^k em.

  • great vid man, ive been watching em for a while, but what exactly was your past line of work, law enforcer?

  • @Shiftyyxx para-military

  • dude screw all the dislikes. your videos are the bomb and i personally love this vid

  • just out of curiosity are you an eskrimador?

  • @bladeguy7 ...I'm a Asst. Instructor in Wado-Ryu Karate but, no one Martial Art is the best. You have to train in several disciplines. I don't consider myself an escrimador (that would be high-praise!) but, I have had training and continue to train with sticks and knives.

A lot of my videos have Escrima sticks displayed and you've seen my knives...."tools of the trade" and necessary to train with!

  • are you in swat?

  • is this a joke? u carry all that at once?

  • @DaBossk ...no not a joke...I used to carry all this. I'm not a funny guy. Retired from that line of work now...check my current EDC video. It's considerably less...lol!

  • I live in Hawaii and from what I understand from talking with police officers you need special permission form the Chief of Police to get a concealed carry permit. The only one he has given out was to his daughter (which got taken away). My question is how did you get a CCW Permit in Hawaii?

  • I love karambit knives

  • to j t I've watched a couple videos and I really like the knife comment at the end I to am a knife collector however not as big as you as well I know what you so for a living your a bad as mother fucker no but really your a body guard

  • Comment removed

  • your fuckin real man i love it america the great Hoo-raah

  • I love knives

  • Man, I though Nutnfancy was carrying alot! You sure have some option laying right there ! -Nax

  • for canada there will be world peace

  • @MilbyDragonBlade Dude that doesn't even make any sense. If its world peace it wouldn't be in one place idiot. Go toke up a bit more. The rest of us will be busy dealing with the real world rather than some imaginary notion of world peace ever being possible.

  • @TheMr45acp not ever one who smks is dumb enuff to think would peace is ever gonna happen , i agree with wut ur sayin , theres no such thing as world peace , one er to places can be happy n peaceful , but u cant just magicly b like were gonna go protest for peace n not work or doing anything useful , lol hippys

  • world peace

  • @MilbyDragonBlade ...never going to happen...lol!

  • Great video ! Keep on doing what you doing bro.

  • your right about thse stupid people

  • It really makes me mad how people r trying 2 take away the right 2 bear arms. As soon as they do that the good people wont have weapons and the street punks will. I carry knifes all the time and have needed them 2 scar off mean dogs several times. Who knows what ill see next. I think these people r trying 2 run a dictatorship. What do u think.

  • @44SCB ...laws that hinder or prohibit your 2nd Ammendment rights...only hurt the law abiding citizen. Criminals will still have their guns...

  • @44SCB what do you mean the street punks will carry knifes they will still carry guns the bad people wont turn in there stolen guns onley the good people will bring in the legal guns makes no F*$^^*$% sence!!!!!

  • Dude how the hell do you carry that Glock on your ankle? I need to know.

  • @apomiller12 ...When I was on the job in a Galco neoprene ankle holster.

Now days I usually carry (1) firearm a .45 acp (see most current EDC vid).

  • man thats alot for a edc I just got crkt N.E.C.K and a sog or something eleas

  • you should do a review on the sog trident if you haven't already.

  • @wkjgd ...Back when I did that sort of thing...whomever was willing to pay.

  • when you say secondary how do you clip it to your left pocket if the clip is for right handed? wouldn't that be backwards?

  • @platinum0188 ...sure it's backwards they're right handed knives...I don't order left-handed knives because I'm putting them in my left pocket or left side.

You have to know your equipment an d practice deploying them if necessary...in this case knives.

I've been carryin Striders lately in my left pocket RW-1 and more currently a Strider MARSOC (Marine Special Operations Command) SMF Generation 2...it's and easy draw.

Just put a knife in your left pocket and do what's necessary.

  • @platinum0188 ...Practice, practice, PRACTICE...

  • sweet knives

  • JT, how you coming on your store, I live Oahu and would love to come in and support

  • @hawaiianlineman...nothing new on that front. Probably will not open until the end of the year. (maybe)

  • wow bro, you got a lot of edc gear. my vice is knives too though.

  • if you had to choose one knife to bring, what one would it be?

  • @reillyj18 ...one knife from this video...it would be the green ZT 301 (tiger stropes blade).

Just one knife...my current fav is my Strider RW-1 (Rogue Warrior).

But, I don't carry just one of anything uusually...you have to have back-ups.

  • ....I still watch the vid.....amd I don't have a gun..haha, but then again I am 15, but I carry usually 2 knives on me and sometimes an asp baton, plannin to get my cc permit when I hit 21, thanks for the great video, keep it up man

  • nice knifes...you practice pekiti tirsia?

  • @ebalaton ...thanks ...no. Asst. Instructor in Wado-Ryu Karate, novice in Escrima, and learning Libre Fighting Academy Knife-fighting system.

  • Really interesting videos. You do what you do, forget about the haters here.

Saw you posted that you retired. Congrats! Thanks again for sharing your experience and insight.

  • @leicalvr ...thanks Man...

  • do work somewere dangerous

  • @elementskater211 ...the 3rd rock form the Sun...

  • @HELLZZARMY wow ....

  • nice g23 i carry mine everyday too

  • you carry a glock 23 in an ankle holster!?! your amazing!! it would be pushing it for me to run a 27 in an ankle holster! idk prob just me...the only guns i would run on the ankle would be .380s...more power to ya! great vids btw.

  • @mattH7600 ...haven't had to load out like this for a while...retired recently.

My latest EDC video "Go Big or Go Home!" (see video) is how I've be rollin' lately.

  • i dont know what u are thinking is going to happen but u are ready for it i would carry that shit around with me

  • i feel sorry for the dumbass who tries to mug you

  • i found a great knife itz called a tactical fury itz a prity good knife i carry it and my p22 i feel prity safe with it

  • Great Videos, JT. I got a Comtech Stinger for myself after watching a few of your videos on them....awesome stuff

  • thanks...

  • Hey JT, just wondering what u do for a living. PD, Military, Body Guard. I too carry but was just wondering. Got the Stinger and Safety Wrench added as part of mt EDC. Wicked looking talon blade. Awesome.

  • with RESPECT I don't say. Trying to maintain some anonymity.

As of 03-01-10 I "Stand Down" retire after 25+ years...already have offers from other agencies and companies. but, right not just enjoying my new found freedom...lol!

  • The Talon is a nice EDC. Add it to your collection

  • Damn man, you dont play no games. I always carry a cold steel folding knife and my TALON impact weapon. You should get the TALON impact weapon and do a video on it

  • @daredevil22 ...I seen couple of the videos. Planned on getting one never got around to it.

  • @daredevil22

Nothing wrong with the stinger. It's basicaly just a dull push knife. Great for people who are only trained to use straight punches. Kick boxers for instance could go to town with that thing. Just aim for small bones, like those in the face. More effective than a roll of quarters for those guys (straight punchers). Of course I prefer a roll of quarters. . .

  • WATCH YOU SIX?!?!?

  • @mtbikes13...your blind side...watch your back...

  • ahh.... sorry about that someone was on my account

  • needs 6-7 more knives then would be perfect

  • Gecko .45, is that you? To paraphrase some wise words, If you need more than 2 magazines in a civilian defense situation, you're not short on ammo, your short of people on your side of the argument.

I carry one handgun with one spare mag, a single knife and a small light (Streamlight Microstream), and can't imagine a day-to-day situation where I'd ever need more than that.

  • Well......for you that's good.

But, for me the people don't know or care what I carry. They just don"t want to get hurt or killed...

  • You know, you could just ditch the vest and carry a couple more knifes. If someone takes a shot at you, it will likely strike a knife and there you go... armor.

  • now there's a thought...lol!

  • "Just because you´re paranoid, doesnt mean they´re not following you ..."

  • Why? that is a lot of crap. What kind of job do you have that makes you think you need all of this?

  • dude.......u are LOADED

  • @spitfire158...Locked & Loaded...lol!

  • Holy hell thats a lot of shit. I mean, ive seen a lot of EDC vids, but Ive never seen someone who carries so much. 4 Blades? LOL. your serious.

On top of that a full size gun, and a compact backup (not sub compact)

You must walk really slow LOL.

    Nice setup.

  • 10-4...thanks...

  • i'm with you brah!i've never seen such a beautiful collections of pocket knives and guns.i wish they would start to issue ccw permit to law abiding citizens of hawaii.you must have alot of money to be able to afford all those nice stuff brah.

  • thanks..."living well is the best revenge..."

  • nice, 5/5! =)

  • you are a beast with all those knives and guns as EDC. I hope you have permits and stuff and I feel sorry for whomever crosses you wrong

  • You are a psycho... why would you need 4 mags? are you gonna fight off the russian mafia??

  • I'm diagnosed as a PSYCHOPATH="

"A mentally unbalanced person who is inclined toward antisocial, criminal, and violent behavior..." lol!

Doesn't mean I not right in being prepared...it's enough until the time comes when it's not enough...

  • If thats the definition of psycopath im pretty sure a good %5 of the world is psycopath. Including me. Nice collection man! 5/5

  • Dude you pack all that at once? I'm not hatin but damn. You got a vid of you strapped up?

  • No...negative no vid but, it is doable.

However, I "Stand Down"-Retire in 58 days and a wake-up...so eased off on some of my gear.

  • I'm diggin it dude. Check my EDC vids just uploaded. Peace!

  • Another wicked cool EDC... stay safe out there, bro...

  • thanks...

  • why would you need 6 knives? you've only got 2 hands.

all those blades can be used against you in a clinch fight.

i think baton + civillian + neck knife is enough.

what about pepper spray? low weight and greater range than a knife/baton. useful when there is space to retreat.

  • to each their own huh...

That's why this is my EDC...and if some scumbag is lucky enought to get one of my blades...it just gives me a reason to shoot him...lol!

  • why do you prefer the 23 over the 27? I ,currently am thinking of the 27 with grip extension to utilize the 23 mag. The reason I ask is because im trying to decide and am interested in contrasting contractors opinions. -Thanks

  • Well I have big hands and a fuller grip makes it easy.

It's not that I prefer the Glock 23 over the 27...it's because I have (2) Glock 23s and when I started carrying a Glock 22 the 23 just became the back-up...

  • Cool upload, does the thought ever creep into your head that maybe just maybe you carry too much EDC. Not being critical but that's alot of gear to keep track of in a rolling around on the ground wrestling fight should you ever find youself in that unfortunate situation, saying maybe you get ambushed or something. What do you think?

  • Sometimes...but the minute you leave something behind is when you'll most need it.

This is my work EDC which differs greatly from my weekend EDC (see video). and when I'm at work I have a lot of back-up.

Just FYI I carry it well...

  • Looks like u're ready for zombie apocalypse, son.

you forgot a rocket propelled grenade launcher....

Forget that kevlar suit, exchange it for a suicide belt, I bet NO-ONE would dare pulling trigger on yo ass.

  • Damn right !!! I carry for the same reason. The only difference between me and you so far is I do wear the tactical gear. Boots, BDU pants, BDU shirt and etc.

  • Its good how u tell evrybody at the begining that you dont give a shit what anyone thinks i like that but besides that great vid my cosant also has a glock 23 preety acurate for a side arm good vid

  • Glock is a great firearm...I shoot better with Glocks...thanks.

  • Excellent video and good reasoning for your edc items. Some people people are just idiots and then their in a situation with their life endangered and think otherwise. 5 stars.

  • thanks for your support...

You're absolutley right...in that moment (situation) it's too late.

  • You know, i grew up in a messed up area, and i've never seen any one walk around with all that stuff. Now, i really don't think that your living area is that dangerous. Second, why do you walk around with all that? Third, do you have extreme paranoia?

  • high-risk occupation...yes I'm paranoid...paranoia keeps you alive...lol!

  • @HELLZZARMY Nice! Do you know the diference between asp and esp batons??? Asp is more expensive

  • Nice vid thanx Glad 2c u stressed the importance of skill when using knife 4 defenz Affraid many younger folks feel comfortable with a blade and 0 idea what a knife fight intails.Knife is considered just as deadly as a gun w/the ensuing legal hassles after using one As 2 SPCkeith and his 600 yd shot - if u shoot someone at much more than 7 yards there is no way 2 claim selfdefenz. 1 critisizm: think u carry 2 many options, may seem ur looking 4 trouble & takes 2 much time 2 figure what 2 use.

  • how much did the hideaway knife cost?

  • $70.00-$80.00 440C steel...more for custom models or more exotic steels.

    Check out the HideAwayKnife website...

  • Who th hell could you be protecting with all that weaponry? Or is your home town just that dangerous?

  • Now that would be telling...

  • nice stuff , but to hit some one with a gun takes skill even at close range. and besides when it comes to fighting anything goes cheap shots, weapons, dont matter just as long as you win.

  • Perhaps, sir, you should consider living somewhere safer.

  • HAHAHAHA

  • ive seen a butcher go to work with less knives

  • yeah not all of us are black belts at whatever you know. i agree with carrying a knife as a back up but not as a primary. the whole idea to me is not get hurt. but i know to you guys guns are for cowards. but i will tell you there is alot of skill in the 600+ yard shot.. peace man.

  • I dont even have to go to the movies anymore especially in this economy. I can just sit back, relax and watch your videos. Awesome stuff man!

  • Nice weaponry, unfortunately I cannot carry or purchase a firearm yet; however, I do carry knives and i agree it takes skill and training to use the blade well. I cannot wait in about 20 days I can buy my first firearm do you have any suggetions for my first gun? (remember I cannot buy a handgun)

  • that's a hard question to answer...choosing a firearm comes down to personal preference. What do you want, what do yo intended to use it for (ex: CCW, Home Defense, etc...)

However, they say a revolver like a S&W .38 is a good 1st gun to own. I myself prefer Glocks. I own several H&Ks, Kimber, Sigs, etc....but, shoot better with a Glock.

So I think a .38 or 9mm is good place to start...you just need to decide what make, model, and type you want. Hope that helps...J.T.

  • Holyshit when that second one came out.. rofl

  • I disagree with you on anybody can pull a trigger. It takes skill to stay calm and maintain accuracy past 12 yards. It also takes skill pulling off reloads and stoppages.

Sure with a knife it will be harder to get someone who is armed with a firearm or another knife. Realistically you don't plan to actually fight fair do you?

  • Anyone 8 to 80 years old CAN pull a trigger...I didn't say they would necessarily know what they were doing or be "shooter/operator."

Yet they could still shoot you accidently or if motivated with intent.

i don't know what you were getting at with your 2nd paragraph...as for fighting we never fight fair because fighting isn't fair.

We do what's necessary to protect ourselves and others...if the person [attacker(s)] dies...he dies!

  • i do think it is a bit uneccesary to b carrying all of tht but i do respect wat ur saying here overall good video looking forward to more...

  • 10-4...

  • How do you like your tenacious?? Im thinking I'll get it to edc

  • It's a great knife at a great price. It rides in that vest in the video and I feel comfort knowing it's there...

  • Nice vid, I agree on that "It takes skill to use a knife", btw how can you carry those folding blades that exceed the 3" limit? I was deciding on buying a knife that is 2.9" or less to be "legal" since I am a civilian. Sorry for the questions as I am only starting to learn about these stuff.

  • in Hawaii it's legal...automatic knives aren't.

Where things get complicated is if you actually use them (knives) to defend or protect someone...guilt or innocence doesn't matter sometimes...just how good is your Lawyer.

  • great answer why the fuck not carry it

  • Awsome...

I get why carry 2 guns but why carry so many knifes and also why the stingers if you have a baton?

  • why not...

  • I agree with Hellzz, if your in a rough situation and don't have a gun or knives or even IF you get dissarmed, your gonna wish you have backups of everything.

  • So you don't have a high risk occupation? Its quite an arsenal to have on you in a "urban office" environment.

I guess you can ever be too careful. I just try to keep legal.

  • I have a "High Risk Occupation" in an urban office setting...so just not in the desert, bush, or jungle...lol!

  • smart guy

    love the glocks!!

  • thanks...

  • where do you live man? in Iraq

you americans are really fucked up in your head, no wonder there's so many crimes in your country, let the police do their job stop carrying guns and you'll live longer

  • Well Mr. "I live in guadalupe"...you trust your life to your 3rd world police.

Me...I'll keep my faith in MY own hands...lol!

  • you should put a laser and a scope on ur pistol it will look cool...do you sale any guns? or anything els?

  • about to stand down in about (6) months to open my own shop here...to sell guns, knives, and tactical gear but, not yet.

Official dealer for Alpha Innovations Self-Defense...(Comtech Stinger II, Kubatons, Jaw Jackers, etc...) but, only local...no mail order or internet . Another hobby because I buy all their cool stuff....check out their website.

  • hey man if you need higher level body armor send me a shout.

  • 10-4...

  • what ammo you rockin'?

  • For the Glocks....40 S&W Speer Gold Dot 165 gr I believe.

For my .45s Winchester Ranger SXT 230 gr and Federal Hydra-Shoks 185 gr...

  • For the ordinary citizen, do you reccomend knife carry for selfdefence? Don't you need to know HOW to fight w/an edged weapon (a martial art in my opinion), you touch on this in your last sentence. Much easier to practice w/a firearm and carry non lethal pepper &/or electric device for back up. I admitt I will get into more trouble w/a blade than I can handle. Too many mini Rambos w/knives they can't use. I only EDC a utility blade&Swiss Army knife. Your thoughts?

  • Yes...if you intend to carry a knife for defense you NEED to know HOW to use it...

Search for Scott Sonnon, Sifu Luke Holloway (Team WuJin/Raw Combat), or Michael Janich of Martial Blade Concept (just to name a few) to see the difference between flailing a knife widely and actually being in control and know what you're doing...

Find a System, Dojo, and/or Instructor to learn Knife Combatives

  • So glad you agree with me. Watching Youtube, I have seen so many yahoos walk around feeling safe just because they carry a nasty looking blade. If trouble ever found them, they wouldn't have a clue what to do with it. Thanks for the clarification.

  • I agree with you in that training is key. However, a blade with or without experience is always going to be better than no blade. As long as you don't become disarmed, you have the advantage.

  • are you a cop? or what r u

  • that's the $69,000.00 question...sorry to disappoint...trying to maintain some anonymity.

Another "shooter & looter" "life-taker & heart-breaker"...just a Peckerwood with lots of guns, knives, and training...lol!

  • I know it's an effective weapon, but I can't stand glocks. I'm a revolver guy. I just love a gun that will never jam.

  • rock on bro....luv nur setup

  • That zero tolerance is a mean piece of steel.

  • 10-4...

  • You are very right about needing skills to use a knife....You have a very nice set up man...just curious have you ever been in a situation where you might of used your tools or came close to using them ?

  • I don't elaborate but...BTDT...lol!

  • damn ur well prepared...im impressed

  • Dang you carry all that! You aren't joking around.

  • Yeah my work "kit"...my weekend EDC(see 06-13-09 video) is considerably less...

  • Damn Best EDC review I seen!

what the weight on this gear?

    Summer wear too?

    what kind of ammo using?

after using this EDC setup, any good/bad comments on wearing/using for EDC?

  • For the job this can be all year round...Hawaii weather is pretty consistent. If I work more the 12 hours then it can be taxing.

Check my Weekkend EDC which is considerably less...

  • fuck ya i like this guy he is all straight 4ward

  • epic setup dude!

  • you could bust windows and ribs with that light 2...

  • r u interested in selling any of ur neck knives?

  • No...negative...I rarely if ever sell my gear.

  • hey, im lookin into buying a cheaper karambit ever since i lost my emerson....ive narrowed it down to two and would like to have your imput...mantis mk or s&w extreme ops...or anything else you recommend on the lower price range...thanks

  • I have the Mantis MK-3 "Cinq-3" it's small and in my opinion more of a collectors type knife.

I also have the 5.11 series Steve Tarani Karambit around $89.00-$99.00 I think this knife would be better suited as a combat blade.

Don't have and haven't handled a S&W Extreme Ops Karambit but saw Imsilveira's YT video and that knife looks pretty Bad@ss...I wouldn't mind getting that for my collection.

I hoped that helped...what I really want is a STRIDER fixed blade karambit...maybe later.

  • Definitely my taste...what would you recommend for a karambit, a Dionaldo or Desperina custom, an Emerson, a Spyderco, or the Tarani? Spring for a custom or just go production?

  • I haven't heard of the 1st two but, I plan on getting a Strider Karambit...

As for now since I have the Emerson and a Tarani...I would go with my Emerson...

  • hehe holy shit dude, what company do u work for that issues u a bp vest?....hell of a day job i guess lol....great video tho

  • damn you carry alot on you great video but you only need one gun but 2 its all ways a plus.... where did you get the bullet proof vest and how much did it cost??? i really want one.

  • the company I work for issued it to me...it's my 3rd one...

  • hey,

    great video.

Btw I was wondering what was a good website with some good prices would be for knives.

  • eBay is always a good place to start. Or BladeOps...just type in the knife you're looking for in google and you should be able to find a deal.

  • dude, you gotta make a video showing how you conceal all of this stuff!
