People really should get raising for info out of their head, you should only be raising for value or as a bluff so the play isnt that bad especially as a9s would have been played the same by the other guy a lot of the time.
@ludy8585 or he should raise on the flop,, ling in the small blind could possibly make a continuation bet with the nine there... those kings were not played well allthough..
It's amazing how many people are so critical. It's easy when you know the cards. If Wolf had raised and been called by a set they'd all be critical of him for taking such aggressive action with just one pair. Some of the comments fail to distinguish between how strong KK is pre-flop and how strong it is unimproved on the turn with a pair on board. He should definitely have raised on the flop to protect against either the flush or the Ace. Trying to trap often leads to difficult decisions later.
Oh I agree it was an awful, awful fold. It was much more likely that Ling called before the flop and led with the kind of hand he has: kq, qj, q/10 MAYBE j10 or a flush draw. Thats a situation where if the guy is lucky enough to have a 9, it's correct to pay him off.
Yeh, you idiots sit on the table and be in his position and see if it is easy to play against these guys. It is easy to judge watching, what if Ling had trip queens?? would that make it a bad fold? you probably say it was a great fold. Please dont judge a players ability on one given hand!
Disparage Wolfie all you want, but keep in mind, one MUST make huge laydowns like that and receive copious amounts of luck to win tournaments with huge fields like that one. In retrospect a bad fold? Of course! But it's a minefield in big tourneys, online or real, and people get f***ed all the time on hands just like that because they don't take into consideration the range of hands his opponent may have.
Now me? I probably would have shoved all in with KK after flop because I have no patience!
did you notice last year they showed an awful lot of jimmy fricke in the early going? and then he went on to finish second. now they show eric seidel often. interesting.......
what the fu.....what an unbelievable noob wolf is.i cant take it.i mean i am from germany too and here is a huge poker scene too so i thought guys who have the chance to play on big events like this should know what they do...hope i meet him one day here in germany at a table i will make him bankrupt!
Indeed. And if he did have a nine there is not much to do, In that spot kings are dominating actually i would say he got a very nice turn there and a nice flop and he spoiled it. Sure the sickening thought of that nine is threatening but come on whats the odds he actually had that nine. And why did he not reraise on the flop just to get the information. If he would have called he could easly put him on the queen. He would have never called a reraise if he had just the nine.

I made a guy fold kings pre-flop the other day at the casino when I re-reraised him all in with QJ. It's all about looking and being confident. And Wolf is anything but confident. Just like the guy I screwed over.
Wolf played his Kings very badly. Folding pocket kings to queen jack with a queen on board. He should only be worried about an ace. A great trapping hand. How can he expect to win anything?
if i played poker as bad as wolf i would prob only play online.at least its not so embarassing.what a rookie

I don't blame the fold, but I definitely blame the call on the flop. That's the play that killed the hand for Wolf.

oh man, what i would never ever have folded kings in that spot. its so unlikely that he has a 9. i would have certainly pushed with Kk in that spot
