Just because one verse doesn't have all of this information doesn't mean it isn't true. A summary statement that says, "believe in Jesus", could be just that; a summary. If you said a square has four sides, you would be telling the truth; but not ALL of the truth. It also can be more specifically described with the other information we have about a square - the sides are equal; the angles are 90 degrees. It is true we must believe in Jesus, but there is more to salvation than saying it.

Sir that is not what "Way of the Master" talks about. The 10 commandments are only used as a mirror. If you tell people that they need faith to be saved, then, form a world where they know little if anything of the Law. Jesus said I came not to abolish the Law but to fulfill it. If you do not know the standard by which God's Righteousness is then there is not conviction. That is God's standard. It is only when we know that what we have done to offend God that we turn from it.

(James 2:8-13) - Verse 10 says, "For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all". This guy is the epitome of a false teacher. Guess he just ignores all the verses that talk about how sin leads to death, "believing" yet still sinning is not exempt from that. He needs to get an understanding of what true faith is. Faith isn't JUST believing, a lot of people like to quote Romans 10, 'If you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth you shall be saved.' However, they ignore what Paul said a few verses down where he shows a connection between belief and OBEDIENCE.
The " good news " is not good news to people who have no conviction of sin. Before condemning Kirk Cameron, Ray Comfort, or anyone, you need to listen to their program and understand that it follows the Way of the Master (Jesus) with the woman at the well. Jesus first showed her that she needed salvation so she would perceive it as valuable. Then Jesus showed her the free gift of salvation. They are not changing the theology, just making sure people take root on fertile ground.
This fellow missed the part where Jesus told the disciples in Luke's Great Commission to go and teach repentance and the forgiveness of sins. He didn't say teach forgiveness of sins, he says teach repentance with it.

From your posts I'm not so sure we actually disagree in the main. I'm sill trying to find biblical evidence for 2 different definitions for "repentance".
As you have posted below, repentance that leads to salvation is a wholesale turning from sin and rebellion and turning to the Lordship of Christ. As much as we may desire it, this does not result in immediate and perfect obedience, but in a sincere desire to war against and be done with our sinful flesh.

Genuine repentance that bears true witness to our regeneration has this attitude. A daily dying to self and submission to Christ.

It's called "easy believeism". It presents the "gospel" in a way that sinful, rebellious men aren't "offended" with the idea that they are evil and rebellious towards God. If they are offended they may not "accept" Christ.
This is the corner that we get painted into when we preach a man-centered "gospel". We place man in judgment of the "acceptability" of Christ, there is no contrition for sin, no humility, no brokenness, it's simply based on how good of a "salesman" we are.

repentance means "to change" "to turn" "faith without works is dead" just as this man's message. For WITH THE HEART MAN BELIEVETH UNTO RIGHTEOUSNESS; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Believing from the heart is repenting! It is a work of God within us. It isn't true it's impossible not to sin. love God. I keep my temple holy. I don't make myself available to sin. Christians still go party. Still drink to get drunk. Do drugs. This guy has obviously not looked at the Way of the Master in detail. They are not preaching works salvation. If you are truly saved, you will show the fruit of repentance. If there is no repentance, there is no salvation no matter what prayer they have prayed. Also the Law is necessary to show people they have sinned and offended a Holy God. Without the law, the gospel doesn't make any sense. This guy needs to do more homework. He doesn't know what he is talking about concerning WOTM.

Just because one verse doesn't have all of this information doesn't mean it isn't true. A summary statement that says, "believe in Jesus", could be just that; a summary. If you said a square has four sides, you would be telling the truth; but not ALL of the truth. It also can be more specifically described with the other information we have about a square - the sides are equal; the angles are 90 degrees. It is true we must believe in Jesus, but there is more to salvation than saying it.

Sir that is not what "Way of the Master" talks about. The 10 commandments are only used as a mirror. If you tell people that they need faith to be saved, then, form a world where they know little if anything of the Law. Jesus said I came not to abolish the Law but to fulfill it. If you do not know the standard by which God's Righteousness is then there is not conviction. That is God's standard. It is only when we know that what we have done to offend God that we turn from it.

(James 2:8-13) - Verse 10 says, "For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all". Also, they actually say, "Using God's name as a curse word". is it better that they suffer temporary discomfort than to be "left alone", & if they die later that day be able to tell God that His children let them face His wrath rather than risk feeling momentarily uncomfortable. If I had not watched this video, would it be right of me to criticize it? No. But that's what this brother does. This guy is the epitome of a false teacher. Guess he just ignores all the verses that talk about how sin leads to death, "believing" yet still sinning is not exempt from that. He needs to get an understanding of what true faith is. Before condemning Kirk Cameron, Ray Comfort, or anyone, you need to listen to their program and understand that it follows the Way of the Master (Jesus) with the woman at the well. Jesus first showed her that she needed salvation so she would perceive it as valuable. Then Jesus showed her the free gift of salvation. They are not changing the theology, just making sure people take root on fertile ground.

The Kingdom of God message (a literal Kingdom on earth) was rejected by the Jews. Twice in fact, first by crucifying Jesus and second by the stoning of Stephen.
The gospel today is 1 Cor. 15:1-4.
Get in step with God's current plan: Salvation is by Grace through Faith in Christ alone.

- A person does not "condemn" someone with the law. They merely show someone the law and explain what it means - then the Law "condemns" them (it shows them how far they've "fallen") - then they properly understand when we tell them about God's Grace in providing a way to satisfy both His justice (wrath) and mercy (love) - by taking the punishment upon Himself (God the Son - Jesus), God's judgement is satisfied and God can legally dismiss our case (as Ray Comfort puts it).

Maybe the reason in part we see so much ungodliness among professing christians is because some profess Christ, but there is no change in their life. From your posts I'm not so sure we actually disagree in the main. I'm sill trying to find biblical evidence for 2 different definitions for "repentance".
As you have posted below, repentance that leads to salvation is a wholesale turning from sin and rebellion and turning to the Lordship of Christ. As much as we may desire it, this does not result in immediate and perfect obedience, but in a sincere desire to war against and be done with our sinful flesh.

It's called "easy believeism". It presents the "gospel" in a way that sinful, rebellious men aren't "offended" with the idea that they are evil and rebellious towards God. If they are offended they may not "accept" Christ.
This is the corner that we get painted into when we preach a man-centered "gospel". We place man in judgment of the "acceptability" of Christ, there is no contrition for sin, no humility, no brokenness, it's simply based on how good of a "salesman" we are.

repentance means "to change" "to turn" "faith without works is dead" just as this man's message. Rom. 10:9-10 says, "Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For WITH THE HEART MAN BELIEVETH UNTO RIGHTEOUSNESS; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Believing from the heart is repenting! It is a work of God within us. (Also, this man needs to read Isa 64:6!)

People who are not submitted to God body, mind, soul & spirit, I would have to question if they truly love God. When you "KNOW" you do, keeping God's Commandments will not be a "chore." You do it out of love and faithfulness.
Walking in obedience to God has nothing to do with salvation or being saved. You're already saved. But, it has everything to do with your rewards in heaven. Going up in the rapture, going to hell. What decisions one makes during the tribulation good or bad.
