Anyone figured out how to script a smooth focus pull. I have a powermate that would rock as a remote focus pull. Also if it could be wireless usb (without any latency) that would be even beter.
Ideally, you want a wireless solution. I cant imagine myself moving around with the camera and having an assistant wired to pull focus. It is just not manageable.
instead of viewing the pictures i take on the main 3" screen on a dslr...can i hook it up to any external monitor and use that as a larger preview screen?
why would you waste your money on that? Or was it given to you free just to test? I dont know why asus would even make it, being so juddery like that. What a waste of time. Surely it must do some other amazing thing that you have not shown??? It cannot really be that useless?
yeah, it's cool but not really usable during filming. I which they would improve it to have a wheel to focus with or atleast something smooth and not tis jerky
For anyone wondering this laptop is the Asus R2H UMPC.

Again, great video! What software do you have loaded on that computer. Did it come with the camera?
michaelricker2004 2 years ago
Thanks! The software is EOS Utility 2.7 which olnly comes with the 7D CD right now. You can't even download it online. The 5D works fine with 2.6.1
