  • Finding God is not about torturing yourself, per se. It is about finding unity and coherence in every apparently insignificant thing. The admiration of Beauty in every single moment we are given in this world. You can also do the opposite and find your explanation in the melting, changing decaying part of it and conform to that; think from that. There has been a lot of people doing nasty things to the world and to others..Let us not judge reality from those circumstantial agents of decay.

  • he is a wise man. his solution is the ultimate solution. but unfortunately this is not going to happen. but it is ok. this is how it is.

  • 0:00 bitch, shut your pie hole!

  • Psychodelics are devils fruits, and there is more humble and hard but natural way of developement personal relationshp with God.That is cross, sucrifying, spiritual love.Jesus Christ said that He is Path and True and Life.

  • @jakikavasaki It doesn't become very personal when you tell people they should follow what you follow. Let individuals discover God in their own eyes whether it be through psychedelics or religion. Personally I find connecting with myself through mushrooms is far more natural than reading someone elses interpretation of the life of Christ. He was an enlightened being, but does that mean we should blindly follow him? Is that what he did? I believe he followed his own path.

  • @edihedihedih It seems that u r not very familiar with the Holy Scriptures (Bible). It testifies of the life of Jesus and what He says & declares. He is not just an enlightened being but born or manifested 2 the physical world thru/by the Holy Ghost (Spirit). He is enlightenment for He is the Light. He, by His own admission, did not follow His own path according 2 Scripture. He says that anyone that comes or seeks 2 come by any way except Him is thief & a robber (John 10:1).

  • @edihedihedih What many dont understand is truth is not relative but absolute. Water is wet or fire is hot r not relative but absolute. These r facts. There r many doctrines of men & devils. There is much wisdom n the world. There is the wisdom of this world (men), of princes of this world (devils), and of God (I Corinthians 2:6,7). The Word of God is absolute truth. Find falseness n it & let me know.

  • @edihedihedih < I agree with you : path has to be personal but enlightenment thru substance (ab)use could cause physical body to weaken.

It is common sense - smoke is poison; many plants are also poison. Yes, some medicinal use in case of illness is useful.

Enlightenment comes once mind is no longer chattering - you are pure consciousness; however, staying there require practice : meditation/yoga/taichi/chanting/art etc help.

  • @jakikavasaki

Yeah, he also said multiple times to sell off all your possessions and help the poor. Did you? He associated with people by climbing down the social ladder, not up it, do you? Because that's His Path. I hope you do not view this comment as an attack. Of course, I've found many Christians resort to anger when challenged, and isn't anger the tool of the Devil?

  • Just watched the full interview and his art-work, available on the internet.

Wonderful - and what an inspiring man, he is.

    Thanks for sharing!

I agree with that statement by rooster about how psychedelics are helpful but not absolutely necessary. If they help you great, if they don't then its a bit of a dissapointment but it doesn't change your "eligibility" for enlightenment by one iota.

I also believe that...certain statements about how "we are all connected" and "there is only the one divine reality" are meaningless unless you live your life to actually experience the truth of those statements

  • @Guard385

In "The God Gene" Dr. Dean Hamer explores brain activity in monks and nuns who pray or meditate. The activity is very similar. Psychedelics cause similar activity. But it tends to be more of a roller coaster. It's intense, but then it's over. Whereas prayer and meditation are more like a classroom, it's boring, but the experience accrues. Binaural beats are a great aid for nontoxic altered states of consciousness, wiki's article and youtube's videos are great places to start.

  • Here's one of my recent conclusions: All Matter/Life/DNA etc. is part of one infinite web/sea/ SPIRAL of energy. We are part of it, Yes, And as etheral (formless/boundless) Spirit's we also project it! (at the same time!)

  • all things are only some binaficial

  • Alex Grey is right on the money baby! god is LOVE

  • word - we're all one with the universe whether we think so or not

  • Then dont watch... or evolve more:P

  • Yeah, evolve already.

  • learn english

  • those who look outside dream those who look within awaken ...........i say do both 4 one look at a tree, soften ur eyes WALLA, a mist u will see, we call it energy ! !

  • He said we r born to bring great and magnificent wonders to the world that we must awaken in ourselves.Wuts so crazy about that?

  • we are all one are we.....take a look around you...the things we say about one another and do to each other.....sometimes i need to remind myself we are all descended from apes to maintain a bit of perspective.....alex grey your not a visionary your an ideologist

  • great interview alex...

    namaste

    tm

  • Wow big words alex.. yes yes we are all one.. doesnt take LSD for me to realize that.. your paintings say enough thankyou.

  • I dont beleive it took LSD for him to realize it either...

  • oh, it did... he admits time and time again.. and by the way, if you think that that's extreme or unnatural, that's just capitalism still fucking you : )

  • ahaha nice! i would say that that is the government/violence and socialization that is fucking with him... i haven't seen any capitalists making money of advertising with signs saying dont take lsd! (at least ones that haven't been paid to do so by religion or some other institution)

  • no no, just the governments that outlawed all research on those drugs that were the most revolutionary thing psychology ever was confronted with. "everybody" in the modern world are afraid of their own minds and "everybody" think drugs are bad, evil, stupid etc. it's not a plot, just good old ignorance in passive service of power.

  • i agree theres probably not a conscious plot to destroy all things which we don't understand fully, but i think on a subconscious level a lot of people in government type positions realize that drugs are a threat to there job...politicians, the military, cops etc.

  • that's a fact... the psychedelic/ecstatic/religious experience is feared by all who seek to control people, cause good drugs will give you direct experience of the things that are only very poorly described in ancient texts, and makes fundamentalism, orthodoxy and patriarchal dominance hierarchies more or less impossible..

  • this is all good, but let's not forget that transcendant experiences are possible without LSD. I see psychedelics as sort of a leg up; they don't take you all the way to enlightenment. That part is up to us.

  • well, i believe the "us" or "you" is what is keeping you from that. i don't see the doctrine of enlightenment as anything singularly "complete" and many people's notions of it, pretty weird. as far as momentary insight goes, substances will carry you as far as can be. regarding living and growing, learning, bettering, they wont do that much for you.
