  • Watched a few of your videos and they're great! I'm getting a set of dumbbells soon, you'll be hearing from me a lot when I get them. subbed :D

  • @conorw5 - thanks a lot for the sub and you are welcome to ask for help. If I can help you I certainly will. Baz

  • very good tips here baz... wicked accent aswell! :)

  • @random7183 - thanks a ton for the comment. Baz

  • whats the weight called that you grab in your hand and squeeze because i want to buy one, or if i can possibly make one let me no.

  • @S3fR0 - it soundls like you are talking about a hand grip/squeezer but saying weight has me confused. What does the exercise do for you? Baz

  • @BazBlog Its a small egg shaped rubber thing that you squeeze in your hand and it builds your forearm muscle. It looks ideal for carrying on the bus/train or just watching TV, its just that i cant seem to find the right one.

  • @S3fR0 - yes I think they do work to a degree. You can do the same with a tennis ball. I think I prefer doing hammer curls and reverse curls for the forearms. Baz

  • How come your not using your EZ Arm Curl Bar?

  • @rushhour1 - not every one has an EZ bar. Baz

  • you have great triceps!

  • @BlueVenemProductions - thanks very much for the compliment. Baz

  • you from the netherlands?

  • @TheShnitster - no I am from Zimbabwe. Baz

  • amazing video man. and You look AMAZING for a person your age, i agree with @Mystrym you look like you're 40! You videos are the most helpful that i saw on youtube! please make more!

  • @Ru55ianGrim - thanks so much for the very kind compliment. Yes there will be a lot more videos. Baz

  • O_O' I cant believe his 60...you'd think he was like 40 something...just goes to show what a difference exercise makes

  • @Mystrym - wow that is a wonderful compliment. Yes I strongly believe that a healthy body will create a healthy mind. It certainly does give you quite a few extra years to your life and will make you look a bit younger. Baz

  • Great video, especially since my forearms and grip strength are pretty weak! Thanks for your time in making and sharing your videos - they really are great and very informative. I checked out your shoulders and traps workouts the other week - really good stuff! Thanks again

  • @cocosinha - Thanks very much for the compliments and for all your support. I really hope that the videos will help you to train better. Baz

  • thanks for this video.

  • @netcompany3 - pleasure my friend. thank you. Baz

  • I can only make it to the gym twice a week so I need a good full body workout baz. I'm thinking a lot of comapund movements like Press up, Pull ups and Dips would help. What do you think?

  • @IronMike101 - the best compound exercises are, bench press, shoulder press, squats and dead lifts. Then do a bit of back, bicep and tricep exercises. Dont forget abs. Baz

  • @BazBlog Cheers Baz. I was wondering, I am 68kg and 5ft 10in. How much protein should I be eating per day. I normally consuje around 15o grams.

  • @IronMike101 - that might be a bit much. I would have around 100gms per day total with all meals etc. You need around 1.5gms per kg body weight for good results. Taking more will not build more muscle. I would also increase my carb intake. I would want to go up to around 80-85 kgs for that height. Have a look at the nutrition video for some ideas on how to eat. Baz

  • @BazBlog Cheers Baz, Ill check ou the video.

  • @IronMike101 - cool. Baz

  • man you have awesome arms they are so massive and muscular

  • @kaloqnDM - that is a very kind compliment. Thanks so much. Baz

  • Your the person who got me into weight lifting around 3 years ago, and I have seen some really good results so far and the results keep on coming. Thank you so much for all your help, if it wasnt for you I wouldn't have been where im at right now :)

  • @Brickkks - that is such wonderful feed back. Thanks so much for sharing that with everyone. I am just pleased that I have been of some help. Baz

  • Happy 2012 everyone!! lol :D Thanks Baz for all your vids keep up the great work and train hard everyone!!

  • @Demolasha - great comment and have an awesome 2012 to you too. Baz

  • Hey Baz, have you ever done dumbbell curls? Its when you hold the dumbbell weights in your hand and raise your wrist up and down, then you swing them side to side. Its another great way to train your forearms :D thought id tell you :)

  • @Lafferty1996 - Yes I have done a lot of dumbbell curls along with wrist curls. I am not sure of what you mean side to side. That really sounds interesting. Baz

  • Its hard to explain. Look at the back of your hand, then look at your palm. Keep doing this. That is the movement i am on about :D You do it while the weights are in your hand. Doing this, you can train every single bit of the forearm :P

  • @Lafferty1996 - yes I know what you are talking about now. It is a weight rotation and yes I can see that would work really well for the forearm. Thanks a lot for sharing that. Baz

  • Love your accent!!!

  • @jahlove111 - thanks so much it is Zimbabwean. Baz

  • These are dumb exercises that ppl do that dont know how to get their forearms big. Doing those type of workouts only gives a good pump in the inside of your forearms but does nothing. You should concentrate on the outside of the forearm. Building muscle there gives you the big look on your arm. It can be worked out by grabbing a preacher bar with the back of your palms facing up, opposite of curling. Do this standing up. Do the same motion as curling but keep your elbows in. Quick up, slow down

  • @crazykid13131 - what works for you does not work for everyone. We are all different and if you believe in an exercise then it will work even better. To say an exercise is dumb just shows ignorance. The exercise you are talking about is a reverse curl. There is a video showing that. There are many ways to train and it is best to keep an open mind and try to find what works best for you. Never try to put others down as it always comes back as a negative to you. Baz

  • @crazykid13131 the 'good pump' you are talking about is caused by the release of lactic acid. lactic acid levels are directly related to the production of growth hormones which will give you the big forearms...

  • thanks allot for the tips ive done work out alrdy for 1 year but since i follow videos i can really see lots of change commin quicker thx allot hope youll keep making videos

  • @ultimatestupidy - That is really nice to hear. I am so pleased you are getting some good results. I hope you keep getting more results. There will be a lot more videos soon. Baz

  • u are small my friend. hahahaha

  • @RedSoxFan132100 - I am not training to please you. How big you think I am does not bother me in the slightest. I am happy with my size. For goodness sake I am 60, not a steroid taking 25 year old. Baz

  • @BazBlog You look great for 60 my friend dont listen to that hater :) I saw on his channel what kind of comments he is posting, he is hating on everybody that is training i dont think that guy is even working out. Sorry for my bad english bro :)

  • @InspektorDejan - You are right. I looked at his channel and he finds fault with everyone. I do not want someone like that on this site so I have used that wonderful button called BLOCK. He now cannot comment on my site again. I am really greatful for your wonderful support so thanks a million for that. Baz

  • Why is it that biceps are painful, but forearms burn loads more when you work them?

  • @offspringy - I am not really sure. You might be trying to go too heavy with the biceps and so they are getting sore. I have never found that problem. I have to really work hard to get a response from my biceps. Baz

  • thanks to you i look like hulk :D

  • @TBxGalvan - that is amazing. I am really pleased for you. Baz

  • wow man you are awesome

  • @themetalrip1 - thanks so much my friend. Baz

  • is that you robert de niro??

  • @sah0 - lol I wihs it was I would be rich. Lol Baz

  • Thanks for taking the time to show us champ!!! awesome

  • @shehansuri - pleasure and thanks for the compliment. Baz

  • Im a skinny guy, should I do this to make my sticklike arms thicker?

  • @iamtheimmaculateone - sure but you need to train all over. I would have a look at the nutrition video because that is where it all starts. Baz

  • @BazBlog Train all over? I do my biceps and triceps aswell. Is there anything else I should add? People tell me i shouldnt work on my abs/legs because that way I'd lose precious calories

  • @iamtheimmaculateone - training all the muscles does not mean you train them all in one day. You should not neglect any muscle. I split my body up in muscle groups and I train chest, triceps, biceps-Mon/Thurs. Shoulders, back abs- Tues/Fri and legs on Wed and Sat. That is what I mean by train all over. Baz

  • Baz: I thank you for these videos you have made, they are greatly informative, and you promote a positive influence on healthy living, and body building. I am using your tips, and I am focusing more on my biceps, triceps, and forearms. You are an inspiration to all of us. keep it up! Thanks Again

  • @burtonater - thank you so much that is a very nice compliment. I really do appreciate you comment and support. Baz

  • hey baz sir..you are 1 of the most positive and insperational people on youtube, you not only give good advice on training but also somehow manages to make me positive for life! keep uploading more videos!

  • @mountaindew207 - thank you so much. That is a really wonderful compliment and I really appreciate it. Baz

  • @mountaindew207 - Thanks so much for the really nice compliments. I really appreciate it and I do appreciate your support. Baz

  • Thanks for your work Baz, I took a lot of good notes about your workout, you know your stuff, thanks again !

  • @mats1975 - I am so pleased to hear that. I hope you will get the results you want. Baz

  • Dude i love your accent. Nice information too. You know what you are doing.

  • @U2FOREVER101 - Thanks very much for the compliment. I appreciate your support. Baz

  • @AnotherBrownKid - No I am Zimbabwean. Baz

  • 'ya know my body topic is similar to yours and I was just wondering that when it comes to doing natural bodybuilding is it even possible to "bulk up" with an ectomorph body type?

  • @gatchAttk - I am endomorph/mesomorph and certainly not ectomorph. Yes with all of them you can bulk but you have to seriously consider your diet. Baz

  • @BazBlog sorry i meant endomorph.

  • @gatchAttk - NP. Baz

  • @BazBlog that exercise at 1:30 is dangerous, you might break your wrist with that?

  • @GsxRaider - No you certainly would not break any bones if you are mature about lifting weights. Never lift a weight that you cannot control. Baz

  • That smile in the end is just so fantastic!

  • @ccorProductions - thanks very much that is a very nice thing to say. If more people would smile it would be a happier world. Baz

  • I can see the change to your body over the course of time, so what you say obviously works. Talking of forearms, is that a military tattoo on your right forearm?

  • @mycal64 - thanks very much and yes I have made great progress just keeping it simple. That is actully a tattoo I had done when I was in SAS. Many many years ago. Baz

  • Well, i watched your videos when i was small and my weight was 65 kg, then i thought you where pretty muscular, well now 3 years later im 16 and my weight is 88kg i rewatched this video and this creeps me out cuz now i think you look very small lol :P

  • @afarius - wow I guess you have become quite a hero then. Baz

  • @afarius

your a total bellend lol :P

  • Thanks man, I hate my wrists, they must be bigger!

  • @MrItsabeautifulday - It is really difficult to change the size of you wrists. That is genetic. You can get the muscle on the top of the wrist to grow a bit with reverse curls and things like hammer curls. Baz

  • @MrItsabeautifulday I used to have small arms and forearms and I can promise you that with the correct exercises and concentration/dedication it can be done... Create the habit of clenching your fist, as hard as you possibly can, hold it and release then do it again... Do this 100 times and tell me your wrists don't feel bigger, the forearm muscles go right to the hands my wrists and forearms are now what most people would call big and thick , my hands got thick too, squeeze them fists :) try it

  • Comment removed

  • @ManVsIron - great bit of info for us. Thanks a lot for sharing your ideas. I like what you say. Baz

  • Your accent and physique really make me trust your advice! Great tips!

  • @Monsg00se - that is a really nice compliment. Thanks a lot. Baz

  • Your my hero. Seriously I look up to you .

  • @HeroicNerd - that is such a wonderful compliment and makes me feel very humble but very proud at the same time. Baz

  • Man u really give super guidance :)... all i find on line training is bunch of monkeys jumping and playing with dumbells.. U are different thankyou very much.. I would really appreciate if u make ur bodybuilding program (and that free of charge). Thanks again :D

  • @narutopatel123 - Thanks very much for the compliment. I appreciate your support. Baz

  • @narutopatel123 i agree with you its so true some people just show off with how heavy the weight they can pick up lol bunch of monkeys hahah

  • what would u recomend me to do if my military press keeps dropping. almost everytime i give my military press a rest, they lose strength. for example from 90 lbs. they went down to 80 lbs

  • @Mr2pac14 - How much rest are you giving them? Shoulder press is the very best shoulder exercise you can do. You need to make sure you are sleeping enough and that you are eating right. All of these things will work toward a great workout. There is no reason for your weights to come down. I find that strength does fluctuate from day to day. Some days I can lift more than others. I never beat myself up if that is the case. Baz

  • we can make our forearms larger naturally if we always lift heavy things always but it took longer time.

  • @timbrandon94 - they do build when you do pulling exercises but it is best to actully target them so you get proper results. Baz

  • @timbrandon94 I'm mostly in favor of this stance. Lifting heavy will definitely bulk up your forearms, and there is typically no need to to anything extra. Plus you use your forearms for practically lift, so it's easy to overwork them. The same concept applies to calves--do deadlift, squat, and other heavy lower body exercises, and you probably won't need to do much focused calf work.

  • hahaha that second one with the broomsticks is what my dad used to do when he was in high school

  • @xtryTOstopMEx - yes it is from the old days. It works and works really well. Baz

  • Bro your yaked! keep up the great work

  • @blinkidy - I have never had that kind of comment before. Thanks very much for it. Baz

  • @BazBlog hahah ahh its just another way of saying your huge :)

  • @blinkidy - well than that ia a brilliant compliment thanks very much. Baz

  • i love that idea with the dog lead, nice one man will be trying it!

    keep the vids comin

  • @Tommi131 - thanks very much. I learned it many years ago by an old guy in the gym I attended. Baz

  • @Kerekespt true, real true Go Baz!

  • I like the roll ups the most, thanks you!

  • @55533353 - that is great to hear so thank you. Baz

  • You have some kick ass vids man, thanks!

  • @xbh1h2 - that is a really nice compliment. Thanks very much mate. Baz

  • How often Shld I do this? And how many times a day?

  • @Ella12Dancer - you should not do them more than 2 times a week. Roll up to the top and down for one rep. Try to do like 4 sets of 6 reps. That should just about kill you. lol Baz

  • @BazBlog okay thanks:D i saw your reply awhile ago, just couldnt reply because I was on my phone. I have done this for a few weeks now and i already see a difference!:DDD

  • @Ella12Dancer - that is fantastic. I am really pleased for you. Be patient though and do not expect too much too soon. Baz

  • Do pullups and chinups too,

    You have a great body.

  • @Mrkbballin24 - yes they are great and thanks. Baz

  • my grandpa told me about the weight on a string ect on a bar :D going to go try it now ive seen someone do it :D thanks man your vids help for people like me with no clue on working out :)

  • @reecieboii - I am so pleased I was able to show you what your grandpa told you about. If you need more help just ask and I will help were I can. Baz

  • @Kerekespt All of those work great. This guy knows his stuff.

  • @kev0001000 - thanks very much. Baz

  • @Kerekespt - thanks very much my friend and thanks to guys like you it is a pleasure to try and help. Baz

  • I've seen some hardcore guys setting a metal bar across the supports in a power rack and rolling up a pin clipped with 20kg and 10kg plates, it saves the shoulders being strained and I can only imagine will destroy forearms like no other excercise, which you can tell by the size of their arms lol.

  • @speckyprick - Yes that certainly makes a lot of sense and will be a great forearm killer. Baz

  • Housecleaning is also great to build forearms.

  • @fnyklr - Yes it certainly is. Using a vacuum is hard work if you do it properly. Baz

  • You honestly dont look a day over 35 :P

  • @VladimirVLD - You are a friend for life with a compliment like that. lol Thanks very much. Baz

  • @BazBlog forget the secret of big arms - tell us how to look young! lol

  • @PsalmLove - I have seen it with most people who start to get fit. They tend to look years younger and especially when your body tightens up. It makes such a difference to how your stature changes and the way you stand. Baz

  • I know this is pretty inappropriate but my right forearm is real strong from masterbation

  • @ninedeathsend - you are right it is not appropriate. People share good information on this site as you can see from the comments. Baz

  • @ninedeathsend ...You either need a girlfriend...or try switching hands (cringes)

  • Read Pete Sisco.

  • @ciretose2 - ????? Baz

  • something that worked great for me was heavy deadlifts without straps and heavy power shrugs without straps. More bang for your buck. Isolations never helped me as much as big lifts.

  • @k94845 - Yes I think the compound exercises are far superior to Isolation exercises. I also think there is a place for isolation exercises though. I like to use a combination of both as I believe that works best for me. Thanks for sharing with us what works for you. Baz

  • @BazBlog Yeah, I found that there certainly is a place for them. Use to be totally against them, but there def is a time and place for them. They are also important as assistance work for the big lifts.

  • @k94845 - Yes you are quite right my friend. Baz

  • oh man im going to do all those his forearms are huuuuuuuuugggggggeeeeeeeee unreal...

  • @mrogachevsky - thanks very much for the compliment and I really hope you will get some good results. Baz

  • Hey Baz. I'm still waiting for your Upper Torso exercise videos. Please put a link if you have already posted it. Thanks dude! Happy New year!

  • @slapped11 - what upper torso parts are you wanting. You cannot put links in the comments as the post will not be excepted. You just have to search through the bazblog channel and there are loads of videos. Baz

  • happy new year to sir,

just wondering is this suitable for someone with rather weak forarms, is it too intense?

  • @thepopization - Happy New year to you to. This is fantastic for someone with weak forearms. Use light enough weight so you can do them properly. You will soon build up some strength. Baz

  • gud day sir

just wnt to ask how may reps for a beginner

  • @budoyong1 - hi my friend. I would do like 5/6 sets of 8 to 12 reps for most exercises that you do. Baz

  • @BazBlog Hey there i enjoy your videos and have a question,Does dumbbell bench press build massive biceps and also helps you break froma plateau?

  • @lordvoldemort578 - No a bench press works the chest mostly and a bit of shoulders and triceps. It does not work the biceps. You will have to do something like 21's or you can try doing some curls but very heavy only 1-3 reps. In other words warm the bicep up and then put on moa few lbs more then the max that you think you can do and do the 1-3 sets. try this a few times. Baz

  • If i keep doing this fore arm work out with the bar and the string attached to the weight, How long ti'll i see results?

  • @350gtrs - a lot will depend on your genetics, how you eat and how well you do the exercise. If you are doing every thing right in 4 months you should see a good result. Baz

  • @BazBlog Thank you that was very use full, 4 months seems so far but thats what it takes to do it, i will do my thing thank you.. love your vids..

  • @350gtrs - you have to be patient with lifting weights. It will not happen overnight. Once you start to get results that is when you will feel even more motivated. Baz

  • thank you for posting this video,i't great,i've learnt new stuffs from it,it's really educational, thank you really much, you're great!!!! by the way,do you have some triceps workout videos or tips too?

  • @1VLAD2GEORGE3IRE - thanks very much for the compliment. I am glad you enjoyed the video. Yes there are a few on triceps as I am very strong on training triceps. Baz

  • would you like to trade arms?

  • @w0o0o0o0o0o0w - great compliment. You can get nice looking arms if you eat and train right. I will send you some stuff. Baz

  • Baz you're the man!!!(:

  • @jawbreaker480 - that is a really nice comment. Thanks a lot. Baz

  • dude ive been doing the broom stick fore arm work out for about a month now,it burns abut i can see a diference. Now i will add a weight just like you to increase my chances of growing bigger forearm. Thnk you.

  • @350gtrs - that is fantastic the way you have done it. Slowly and making sure you are building a good foundation. Well done!!! Baz

  • @BazBlog Thank you BAZ.

  • @350gtrs - Pleasure. Baz

  • Man the one with the broomstick is TOUGH... it feels like its never going to end and your forearms are burning like hell! good one!

  • @MrRGR666 - yes it is a very good one. If you do this once a week in no time you will see some great gains. Baz

  • The broomstick one is a staple for anyone who plays hockey or needs good grip. It's sexy.

  • @TheBestGuitarSoloEVR - yes it is a fantastic forearm exercise and will make a big difference to size and strength. Thanks for the comment. Baz

  • i relly like how u used house items for the economically disadvantaged :P

  • @xplosivelilly - Thanks and yes you can train if you really want to. The muscles do not care if it is the best looking weights or rusty stuff. They need resistance to grow and that is what you have to give them. Baz

  • i dont have to worry about this too much i dont think . . . because im a guitarist , i have big forearms . . . . after 4 years of brutality :L :) thank you for the vid :)

  • @TheHungryShredder1 - yes that is awesome for forearms. Good luck with the rest of your training. Baz

  • @TheHungryShredder1 Most people would think playing guitar would build big forearms, but it doesnt for the most part, because it doesnt cause much muscle microtrauma. the only thing playing guitar will do,muscle-wise,is add some tone to your forearms, only providing that you play aggressively, say for example: using alot of tremolo picking and big, fast up and down strokes.By the sounds of it, you probably have good genetics.if you hit the weights you could really build some BIG forearms.

  • @CORNP00 In fact, i do play with aggression :D and i do tremollo pick :) and i am working out :D im guessing you play guitar too ? :)
