My opinion is unqualified, however I will give it as you seem to be someone who appreciates constructive criticism. If I step out of line I apologies.

Your lyrics, music and voice are beautiful however I feel they don't meld together very well in this. The lyrics make a beautiful poem but too long for this type of music.

Your music beckons but the call is lost in the lyrics. With music I understand that a lot can be said using fewer words.

Please don't stop doing these though.

@korisx, no worries. I wrote the song in 2001 at a time when my music sounded more progressive and complex akin to Rush (my favorite band and one that significantly influenced my earlier music). I think that more complex songs are the kind that tend to grow on you over multiple listens compared to the more popular songs that are straightforward and instantly catchy after hearing it the first time.

@malgacho, there wasn't much of a deep message in the song aside from the fact that I was infatuated with someone who was in a relationship with another person, and the lyrics conveyed how I felt. Also, this song was based on how my life was almost a decade ago, and I'm in a different place now, both musically and lyrically. This song is more like a blast from the past for me.

I can totally relate to this. I wrote poem about it actually. Thank the divine for the arts, to helps us express and release such strong emotions.
