2 questions: 1) for all of you complaining about the kids "killing people" -Where on earth do you see that in this trailer? I've watched it gazillions of times, and cannot find one scene
2) For those of you who didn't like the effects, may I politely ask what you disliked about them? I didn't notice anything to bad... of course the previous ones were much worse, so I bet they'll be great if they keep improving like this :D
@imdonewitit- No Disney dropped the series after PC
Well i don't care. C.S Lewis is a genius. The Chronicles of Narnia is perhaps one of my favourite stories ever told and people need to be more acceptive of the many people, (and their beliefs) and different peoples likes in the world. You can only go so far...!!
Personally I can't wait to see this! I read all 7 books when I was a wee lad and I think that the movies so-far have been a grand adventure. They hold true enough to the original stories and I think C.S. Lewis would be proud!
I am MASSIVLEY excited for this movie!!! My one question is... why is Prince Caspian british... LOL oh well... still excited for this movie to come! <3 Skandar Keynes!! <3
This will certainly be awesome. I certainly hope that we will get movies for each book in narnia series, there are some twists that I just can't wait to see on the big screen.
Wow, I keep thinking "Oh PLEASE don't make it into another "save Narnia" movie" because the book wasn't that way at all. But now I think I know where they're going with the sword/table thing. It works a little better, but it STILL defies the book too much for my taste.
It's true that Peter and Susan don't appear in the story and even so this movie looks amazing and better than the two first. That's what I love of this Saga, every book is amazing and has a diferent story but all of them are conected.
omg i love this series! amazing book series and movie series!!!! i shal be seeing this one it looks like the best one yet but im just angry that this is the 3d one instead of the original order
I am so excited this looks really good. I mean the others trailers left me a little on edge but I love Narnia so I'd see it anyways. Snap it if people don't want to see Narnia that's their problem but I've been waiting for a long time for them to bring out the movies onto the big screen. It looks pretty rockin I'll keep my fingers crossed. This is my favorite book in the series here's hoping they make it well.
@TheNorwegianPrank Seriously? Have you bothered to read the books before passing judgement? I would say not. This movie is about good versus evil not about children killing people. In-fact, you'll find that almost no humans in the movie (or any of the books or movies) die at the hands of the children, only evil monsters, beastmen and minions of the White Queen (aka the Devil).
@TheNorwegianPrank No, it's not. You clearly have not the mental faculties to see beyond the mass media. You should probably not watch movies or read books, you are clearly too easily influenced by such media, they might make you go insane or do something harmful to others.
@TheNorwegianPrank No, that's not what the movie is about and you clearly know it. You are simply baiting people into commenting and getting them worked up. That is trolling. There is no truth to your words, you are obviously a simpleton and unable to distinguish media fantasy from reality.
@mmacconn069 im not saying that its real, all im saying is that maybe the movie can be a little mature for children if they are going to see ww2 soldiers walking around, poor people rooting in the city and that small children are killing creatures and people, its just...extreme for children lol so im not trolling
@TheNorwegianPrank You do realize the movie is PG, that means parents should determine if their children are too immature to be watching it. It's not like the movie is rated G and every 3 year old should be allowed to watch it. It's not a Disney flick and shouldn't be treated as such. People making comments about the movie should also know this and be able to make intelligent decisions before damning it as something to corrupt and terrify their children.
@veganroxs Funny you mention that. C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien were contemporaries and ran ideas past each other when writing to get feedback from each other.
@JakeGalon I doubt it. Horse and his boy is too politically incorrect. Magician's Nephew can be left as an afterthought (or released later as a prequel. It's been successfully done before)
@LadyVader33 I'm not sure, dude. In fact I think they'll release The Magician's Nephew as a prequel, but still following the order in which the books were released (at least they've been continuously stating it, though we know we cannot trust everything they say).
But I think that the fact of The Horse and His Boy being politically incorrect (?) is not an obstacle for them to make the film, since we have quite a lot of even more politically incorrect films being released every single week... :?
Looks bigger than the last two put together. I may actually watch this at some point, even though I've never read the books or finished the first two films.
harry potter will kick this move in the balls and shit down its throat also motion picture event hardly its just gong to be some lame movie that will be forgotten and if anybody says im a harry potter fan you are sadly mistaken the movie has ten times more potenial then this crap
@kuzma566 Look, stupid asshole. I love Harry Potter and I love Narnia. Both of them are great in its way. If you didn't read the narnia books so shut your mouth, I hate ignorance.
Harry Potter is going to be bigger because the next movie is the begining of the end, and Narnia is the third movie... I wish you the best.
@kuzma566 I think it's just the opposite. Harry Potter has nothing to say. It'll be completely forgotten in ten years, both books and films. The Chronicles of Narnia were written during the 50's and are still read and admired.
And if you were just a bit smart you'd know that Rowling herself has got a lot of inspiration from the Chronicles of Narnia, as she said, some of her favourite books. So you must get to know more before saing such shit.

Does anyone know the song towards the second half of the trailer? With the choir? I think it starts at about 1:23 or so. It's so beautiful, and I can't find it anywhere.
shieet, every movie in 3D will have that stupid throw the scroll against the screen thing (1:10) just like in alice in wonderland... and why didnt they just make it all cgi, there is no real set pieces in it now anyway and the actors suck.. tss.
Between this winter and next summer (Harry Potter, Narnia, Thor, Cap. America, X-Men, Cowboys and Aliens, Green Lantern, Tron Legacy, etc) I'm going to go broke.
@CannibalShinobi It's not that he can't...he does it because he wants them to grow. It's the same with Jesus; he could instantly make everyone perfect if he wanted. But then it'd be pointless...we learn and grow through our experiences. Jesus has us do the easy things, THEN He'll do the hard things. =D
@CannibalShinobi (1/3) I found this from Mark Sommer (HJ Live). "Another theme that Lewis brings to Prince Caspian is growth. Although Aslan is providentially guiding circumstances, he also limits his direct involvement. He does not go to the How and intervene against Nickabrick’s treasonous use of sorcery, but directs Peter, Edmund, and Trumpkin to “deal with what you will find there.” Aslan does not do for the characters what they have been trained to do for themselves.
@CannibalShinobi (2/3) "Peter, who has been a reluctant leader until this time, will “take charge” and volunteer his services to fight Miraz in single combat. The characters will not only find that Aslan is intervening behind the scenes, but that he is also allowing them to face more realistic dangers than they had to face in the first book as he forces them to take the next steps in their growth."
@CannibalShinobi (3/3) I think this is why Peter and Susan are told, at the end of the book, they will not be coming back. They have not “outgrown” Narnia (as Susan will someday mistakenly believe), but have grown beyond it.."
Does that clear things up for you? I hope it does! =D
@CannibalShinobi You have to understand, this is just an allegory. The physical battles the story talks about refer to the spiritual battle that we in real life face. "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." -Ephesians 6:12. Obviously, it's easier to picture this battle if it's described in a physical way (like in the books).
@porfirioreyes Yeah, they're not actually IN Narnia. That shot is just from somewhere else (potentially a sort of dream Lucy has. But that's going into spoiler territory. ;) )
@jaycardcast No, not really. SPOILER ALERT. From what I understand, when Lucy sees the spell to make someone the most beautiful person in the world, she sees herself as Susan, and then sees what life would have been like if she herself (Lucy) had never existed.
That's what I understood from various spoilers...I can't say for sure whether or not it's correct. =D
@BBoyMerciless About the bracelet? Well, the bracelet itself doesn't mean anything...but I guess you're talking about the whole concept of Eustace turning into a dragon. It's basically because he had greedy, "dragonish" thoughts, plus the effect of magic, which made him turn into a dragon. For a better, more comprehensive writing about the Christian side of this, you can read Peter Barnett's analysis of the movie at goo [DOT] gl/44x8d. (It's a PDF document)
@chicoboi500 Narnia is not Harry Potter. Harry Potter is just one history separated in 7 books. Narnia, well they are 7 diferent histories that are conected in a way, so you can't compare... Narnia have been popular and admired since they were writen until now... so you cannot just speak and speak...
@Edson07bs i know that there completely different. i also said im not a big narnia fan ( i dont dislike narnia, i just dont know alot about it) and i didnt say anything about harry potter until some random guy brought it up but just how narnia is still loved and admired thats how harry potter will be 50 years from now.
If you look really carefully at 1:52, while dragon Eustace is still a little distance off, you can see the bracelet on his right "wrist." It's big and golden!
Great distraction and great vide0!! thank u webmovietube

A perfect adaptation? no...
But it definitely held faithfully to Lewis's core themes in the book.
music, editing, and script writing were its poorest qualities.
But design aesthetics and acting well surpassed the last two.

@CannibalShinobi (2/3) "Peter, who has been a reluctant leader until this time, will “take charge” and volunteer his services to fight Miraz in single combat. The characters will not only find that Aslan is intervening behind the scenes, but that he is also allowing them to face more realistic dangers than they had to face in the first book as he forces them to take the next steps in their growth."
awanaismylife 1 year ago
@CannibalShinobi (3/3) I think this is why Peter and Susan are told, at the end of the book, they will not be coming back. They have not “outgrown” Narnia (as Susan will someday mistakenly believe), but have grown beyond it.."
Does that clear things up for you? I hope it does! =D
awanaismylife 1 year ago
@awanaismylife not really because killing people doesn't produce growth in children, it should make them sadistic.
CannibalShinobi 1 year ago
@CannibalShinobi You have to understand, this is just an allegory. The physical battles the story talks about refer to the spiritual battle that we in real life face. "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." -Ephesians 6:12. Obviously, it's easier to picture this battle if it's described in a physical way (like in the books).

This and the Last Battle are the best by far!

@porfirioreyes Yeah, they're not actually IN Narnia. That shot is just from somewhere else (potentially a sort of dream Lucy has. But that's going into spoiler territory. ;) )
awanaismylife 1 year ago
@awanaismylife huh? more like inception huh? xD
jaycardcast 1 year ago
@jaycardcast No, not really. SPOILER ALERT. From what I understand, when Lucy sees the spell to make someone the most beautiful person in the world, she sees herself as Susan, and then sees what life would have been like if she herself (Lucy) had never existed.
That's what I understood from various spoilers...I can't say for sure whether or not it's correct. =D

This is only the third book and third movie so we have four more movies to look forward too after this one.

@JakeGalon i didn't say anything about harry potter.?
and well at least harry potter has a progressive story from my view....
i'm really not a big narnia fan but all from what i've seen in these movies
is that they have to face a new villain and save narnia all over again
in each movie. & also, i really don't think harry potter will be forgotten in 10 years.
it'll be remembered just like narnia 50 years from now i'm sure of it.!
chicoboi500 1 year ago
@chicoboi500 Narnia is not Harry Potter. Harry Potter is just one history separated in 7 books. Narnia, well they are 7 diferent histories that are conected in a way, so you can't compare... Narnia have been popular and admired since they were writen until now... so you cannot just speak and speak...
Edson07bs 1 year ago
@Edson07bs i know that there completely different. i also said im not a big narnia fan ( i dont dislike narnia, i just dont know alot about it) and i didnt say anything about harry potter until some random guy brought it up but just how narnia is still loved and admired thats how harry potter will be 50 years from now.
chicoboi500 1 year ago

If you look really carefully at 1:52, while dragon Eustace is still a little distance off, you can see the bracelet on his right "wrist." It's big and golden!

@awanaismylife What does that mean though?! I know the Narnia movies are very close to the Christian religion, but I never really got all of it.
