Need help! I have the same configuration on my laptop as my friend on his desktop but he gets to play games like Mafia II and Assassin's creed Brotherhood on high setting without lag but I have to play on low settings and its still laggy. Is is because its a laptop or is there something wrong with my drivers?

Just Get Both ( Laptop & Desktop )..... But if you are a gamer Desktop will probably be the best choice. And if you are a collage student or so just get a laptop..

@pufixas I believe desktops are the future, because they have a lot more powerful parts, and you can build on to them. And just because something is older, doesn't mean it's any worse. As long as desktops are still around, they will continue to be one of the most powerful sources of software use, as well. But I can see why people like laptops, they're easy to carry around, and they are more affordable. Personally I'm just a desktop guy myself though. :)

I am getting alienware m15x screw desktop when I go on vacation for 2 weeks+ I get bored after a while so I just get out a laptop and play some steam games! But with a desktop I need multiple ports, some were to put it and take an hour to set it up but a laptop is easier use, Open, press button, login and your done.

And alienware m15x IS for games so it is a gaming lapton with i7!

Laptop can be as powerful as desktop computers, but you have to pay for it around 50% more - it's the cost of mobility and miniaturization.

for the same price u get for a good laptop u can get a even better desktop, i spent $3,000 on a desktop and my sister spent the same on a laptop and my desktop is 10,000 times better then the laptop, if u want to do games get a desktop but if ur not playin games and only surfin the net and or for school just get a laptop

@nanneclayton lmao, i went to college for IT aswell, desktops are way more customisable, laptops are more for a buisness type of person and a studen, spend the money on a Custom Desktop and Build it your self, you will save more money and wont get shat on by a shit warranty scheme from such likes of Dell, Asus or Acer

but in my opinion the laptop has better quality

at the moment im using a 18,4'' inch laptop and it rocks when i game, even when i put the quality on low
