They should had made another for the damn xbox and ps3 -_- I mean come onn I dont wanna waste money on the portable version when the consle version could have some good graphics I would give it a try but ehhhh at least the online is free

omg..i realy wanted these games (PS Portable 1 and2) but when i went to the gamestop, the person had said that," these games are out of production so they dont make them anymore" WTF?! those games were just released last year and in september of this year (i live in norway where they were released later in europe) and they are still selling games that were made years ago! *is so pissed off that i am smiling*
you know ive always wondered if you leveled your character offline, would the levels on that character carry over online? or is it 2 seperate profiles
This game blows PSU out of the water. It's a sign that SEGA is finally doing things right. Let's all hope Sega of Japan doesn't screw us over or screw up when they release PSO2...
@Hakageryu I'm buying it today and PSP also but my area do sent have wifi connection :( Well it does but when i do the Wii Wifi, everything is locked with a password any clue or another way to get wifi connections??
@ShinKajiX well I connect through my wireless router directly but I still had to google it to get it right so in all honesty I would try searching the web for a solution
I really...truly HATE the way dev's have gone in the way of the fighting Style in RPG games.. If you can even call them RPG games anymore ....=( It makes good games like this and Others Unplayable.
(One of the Main reasons i could not play FF7:crisis core) That really made me mad.
@pyroguy5432 the story is (obviously) different, all the special photon moves are different, the photon system is replaced with a stamina gauge, you can do ninja rolls, play online, import your old character, fight new bosses and enemies (they all attack alot better, meaning they will block and come back with an attack lots of times, or they just know what they're doing this time instead of running into their own deaths)...overall Im a fan of the series and like it

It's nice to see SEGA bring out a phantasy star universe/online game that actually has polish... and that you don't have to wait for 500 different 'updates' to play through a full version of the game online.
@okinawaskate it takes 9 hours of legitimate play to get to level 45 if you just rush through to beat the game, then leveling up is a bitch once past lvl 60 so unless you beat story mode, you're playing too much.
@CrimsonDiabolics didnt really understand your comment, but to let you know, the game is all in japanese, and i cant read all the kanji that shows up, so alot of the time i have no clue what to do next, so i just play free missions lol
@okinawaskate What I meant was yes it's easy to lvl up in the game, until lvl60 then it's a pain. btw, even without the knowledge of knowing japanese it should be pretty simple to play through it's story mode in japanese, when my friend played he didn't even bother reading and he was doing fine, but he never beat the game cuz I only borrowed him the game for the time he was over.

@kingk0be feel the same way... psp1 is great i beat it its a lil dif from psp2 although some of the maps are dif all i i know is onn the demo i started out with whitil wings from a previous char import and a certain class its pretty cool but yea the first one is fun imo ^^2nd one is nice and it seems better with more customization
Goddamn, Phantasy Star Universe was fun. Live play was expensive, but it was damn fun. I went back on it to relive good times, but I found maybe 1 or two other people. T_T
My character is named Kaneda, I usually host Lv 15 (lower levels are welcomed to join also) tag battle lobbies, mon-sat, from around 12am-4am eastern time (I play while at work, shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh it keep it to yourselves!). Keep an eye out for it. Relaxed players, who don't take themselves or the game too serious.
@EternityTifa I think I remember you! If remember right, it was a battle of the sexes, your team won first, and I said we lost to girls (jokingly) and we won the second.
Awesome I can Transfer my charater data and everything into the new game without making a new one. And besides I hope can still update our original characters with in styles because that would to cool. I hope we can transfer all the charaters too

@MrKamiry thats kinda suck about the transfer data of your characters, i did deleted my player data (lv 80, all lv 10 jobs and around 7 skills lv 30) "accidentally" lol. i dont want to tell the stupid thing i tried O.o.
but its something cool about start again... was the fun stuff, plus we can learn more about the new game system lvling up again :P. plus i am not sad about this new change because i already lost my high lv character of PSP:1

Don't get your hopes up about the whole decorating your room in the demo. Mostly you will get allot of flowers, a toilet and a picture of the blond chic named Emila. Just get the actual game if you want to go heavy on decorations.
what i'm trying to figure is what the human is wearing at 00:19 since i've beaten the game on normal and hard mode already but i havent seen that clothing in the shop yet. if anyone knows tell me
you can import ur character but the only thing you get to keep is the clothes ur character is already wearing and some random stuff the game gives you for doing it, ur character starts back at one (or ten i dont remember) and u start only with ur basic weapons it gives. so basically no point in importing anyways since u start from scratch. and i bet a lot of ppl will be angry at how hard portable 2 gets when u get into the A and S rank missions, trust me i know.
I REALLY hope the A.I for this game is fixed, the A.I was HORRIBLe in Phantasy Star Portable 1, the guys did nothing unless you were very close to the enemy.

I easily played over 400 hours of the first protable game in the series and I've been waiting for this one since trailers came out in Japan. Nice to see that the rumors of this game ditching the online in the US version are false. I hope they release a demo for download soon!
For everyone watching or going to watch this Video Phantasy star portable 2 Will have Add-ons Mainly Weapons and CLothing items Online Will be free of course and there will be a trading system to Sell Items to other players So if u have a item that you payed for with cash you can Sell it for Lots of Money and Also there game is Based Around your character and not your weapon it is a really fun game and it comebines the old with the new and even newer so give it a try everyone
Whoa, the voices in story mode sound like they were cheaply dubbing a hentai series... also, I'm all for the use of generic names like Sonic, Knuckles, etc., but did they really have to make their characters look like shit? I think I preferred the JP interviews and previews.. oh well, at least we're getting this locally now. :/

Don't get your hopes up about the whole decorating your room in the demo. Mostly you will get allot of flowers, a toilet and a picture of the blond chic named Emila. Just get the actual game if you want to go heavy on decorations.

what i'm trying to figure is what the human is wearing at 00:19 since i've beaten the game on normal and hard mode already but i havent seen that clothing in the shop yet. if anyone knows tell me

you can import ur character but the only thing you get to keep is the clothes ur character is already wearing and some random stuff the game gives you for doing it, ur character starts back at one (or ten i dont remember) and u start only with ur basic weapons it gives. so basically no point in importing anyways since u start from scratch. and i bet a lot of ppl will be angry at how hard portable 2 gets when u get into the A and S rank missions, trust me i know.

I REALLY hope the A.I for this game is fixed, the A.I was HORRIBLe in Phantasy Star Portable 1, the guys did nothing unless you were very close to the enemy.

I easily played over 400 hours of the first protable game in the series and I've been waiting for this one since trailers came out in Japan. Nice to see that the rumors of this game ditching the online in the US version are false. I hope they release a demo for download soon!

For everyone watching or going to watch this Video Phantasy star portable 2 Will have Add-ons Mainly Weapons and CLothing items Online Will be free of course and there will be a trading system to Sell Items to other players So if u have a item that you payed for with cash you can Sell it for Lots of Money and Also there game is Based Around your character and not your weapon it is a really fun game and it comebines the old with the new and even newer so give it a try everyone

Whoa, the voices in story mode sound like they were cheaply dubbing a hentai series... also, I'm all for the use of generic names like Sonic, Knuckles, etc., but did they really have to make their characters look like shit? I think I preferred the JP interviews and previews.. oh well, at least we're getting this locally now. :/
Still pissed that I lost my JP copy though.
