Hey is the clutch on the G27 really active? Like if you just put the gears from 1st to 2nd to 3rd without stepping on the clutch will it still shift as normal or will the gears not shift?

@wastnTIMEwastnTIME Good question, the gears engage even if you're not stepping on the clutch... I'm a bit dissapointed becuase of that. I posted a thread on a modding website, maybe someone has a mod for this issue...

It goes into neutral.....equivalent of a stall as the car cant go off in game...I tried it at my mates house...i tried moving off without the clutch as I usually do in my real car and it went into neutral.....he was laughing at me.......but I tried it and it stalled or went neutral and just revved

Yeah, 360º in-game? Which.. means it should spin in a complete, full circle, right? It barely turns a quarter of the way at any time in this video. It should at least do what he's doing up until 360 degrees and then stop if it really was 360 in the game, but it doesn't. This game blows anyway. Waste of money and the worst in the series in my opinion.

@bcbcscbc ye but in an Audi A3 you can turn a 70 degree corner with 90 degree steeringmovement at 25 to 30 miles per hour.....you only ever use 900 degrees in a real car for very tight 100 degree turn at very low speed.

900 degrees in a racing game makes no sense.....real race cars use 90 to 180

i think the reason why the in-game steering wheel only moves slightly compared to the guys massive movements is because the steering animation is only limited to about 300° of rotation. and besides, i haven't seen any vid so far with real racing cars with a steering ability of 900°

On the next logitech to make it more of a simulation for those who want the ingame cockpit to match their own movements they should have pressure sensors on the wheel where you would put your hands so that when you take your hands off the wheel the driver in the game does it also. That would be the icing on the cake for simulation racing fans.

And no i dnt think that Need For Speed Shift, if this is it utilizes the clutch. I know that Gran Turismo 5 prologue does as well as GT 5 will. Ive seen this steering wheel and its like $300 or sumthing like that.

You Can use the Fanatec wheel (only the Turbo S) on the 360. Also, the clutch can be used on all clutch wheels (PS3 and only the fanatec turbo S on the 360) when playing Need for Speed Shift. Shift has an auto clutch even when turned off. So.. Need for Speed sucks in the fact that if you do not clutch to shift there is only a second delay in the shifting time. So.. this does not penalize you enough. In fact it shouldn't change gears at all like Gran Tourismo. In GT hit a button b4 each race

I'm getting this wheel by this evening, looking forward to it. I actually ordered it & expected it to be arriving this morning but because my order was later yhen 5Pm i would have to wait till next monday! Hell no that i'm spending my weekend without my 350€ wheel! Gotta drive 150Kms for it but oh well.
