  • Your toms sound so clean and beautiful.

  • ur toms r tuned too high

  • How much was that kit?

  • f@ck everyone this shit is epic :) epic sounding kit and amazing solo! good job dude!

  • A major problem with a lot of very talented drummers... they do "solos" to express their skill... but usually do not orchestrate a consistent melodic riff. Your really good man.

  • You rely too much on your snare to keep the beat going, other than that its pretty good. The progression was kind of slow too, but your i guess you were warming up? Your kit is tuned nicely also. good job.

  • @avengedbatfoREVer

if only you could of told that to buddy rich.

  • That was pretty decent!

  • I love it how your drums are tuned, very melodic. :)

  • toms tuned to high for my tastes

  • Add in some more bass and hi hat, other than that, your a great drummer

  • I love how you tuned your toms. I can here melodies in your drum fills it's cool.

  • You have to be in a band, right?

  • @TheDukeOfFall

    Pocketof3

    dot

    com

There's some Pocket of 3 videos on my youtube channel

  • wow, this is good!

    @Hugotje14

  • wow your kit soundss orgasmic..........nice solo

  • your progression was too slow, i was waiting for something awesome between 12 seconds and 2 minutes in.. it just got too boring =\

  • A Custom <3

  • ehh work on those rolls pick up your hands more it shud flow u shouldnt have to force the second hit

  • The middle was the best part. The begging and the end were good, but they got kind of boring after a while. This solo would be better if it was shorter. Overall it was good though.

  • Are you using clear g2s?

  • @666thefireball They are all listed on my profile

  • Can you PLEASE tell me how to set up a Jam Block? I got 2 for my birthday and I have no idea how to use them because they didn't come with instructions or anything. If you could send me a PM or something that would be great. =3

  • @Chameleonizer You need to screw the metal bit onto the block.

Then you just attach it to a cymbal stand or something.

  • @MackingCrew One interesting thing I tried was attaching them to my hi-hat stand (The long part that sticks out of the cymbals) and it works nicely. I use an LP Red Block and an LP Orange Piccolo Block =P

  • what do you use to mount your red jam block?

  • @HandPeopleHandPeople

It's an old tom tom mount stuck in a cymbal stand bottom.

  • nice

  • What is happened at 4:14? :)

  • I caught the rim and nearly dropped my stick on the floor.

  • wats the purpose of mics arnt drums loud enough? im not sure...

  • @jevosaphain: he's using mics to record the drums, cause when captured with only the camera mic, they usually sound like shit, regardless of how good your drums are..

  • where does the sound go to after its picked up through the mic?

  • @jevosaphain: apparently through a mixing desk of some kind that he has connected to the PC where he mixes down the channels with some kind of software to bring the final result, along with specialized software used for synchronizing the video with the final audio result.. or something like that :) i hope i was clear enough..

  • I hope he was recording with a Mac ;)

  • Hahaha, thanks for your comments!

YEs, I used a Korg D3200 to record them, then transferred to mac as a mix down and synced using imovie.

  • @jevosaphain probably through some kind of extremely high tech alien shit...or you know...could just be a computer

  • you'll get a little better sound maybe

  • better quality :]

  • you can't record without mics now can you???

  • I love your tom tone; also, this video has convinced me that I have to buy a jam-block.

  • Thanks, it's the cheap Samson mics that bring out the tone, there's no EQ on them.

  • Doodski! 2:47 is sweet!

  • Awesome mannn

  • only the pros have cowbells

  • Very Nice dude!!!....im drummer too...watch my videos..is not much but..its something what i do...(my english is really bad...

  • QUASIMOTO

  • please watch mine,..hehe TY, leave comments please

  • amazing is tony hawk

  • nice man keep up that white-boy funk.

  • nice recovery when you dropped the stick man!

  • your set up sounnds reeeeeeeaaaly nice...... xD

  • Awesome style bro,You sound like Dennis Chambers but in your own way.5 Stars all the way bro.

  • Sounds pretty for an export.

  • Its miked up, thats why it sound nice.

  • i really like this solo... I'm fourteen and I've been playing for three years, and I basically studied this video to see if I could play this solo. Turns out I can, but putting in a tamborine here and there makes it sound really kick ass, and you should also try putting some double bass in there.

  • You learnt my solo off by heart??

  • well yea, by pretty much watching this video over and over again

  • id like to see a video of that

  • really?..

  • Damn i wish my exports sounded like that =[. Oh well getting my masters custom next week. What heads are the toms batter and reso?

  • On my masters custom I have the remo factory fitted heads on the reso, Evans G2 clear on top. Tried EC2s but they suck.

  • For toms i like the EC2s but i also like the Evans Genera Dry. give those a try next time you change heads.i have ec2s on my custom so i may just buy the genera dry and see what kind of sound that gives me. For snare i prefer the Power Center reverse dot with a hazy 300 reso.

How long have you been playing for?

  • I like the HDDs.

I've been playing about 12 years, i'm out for 6 week with a broken collar bone right now though.

  • Not bad... I would recommend sticking some of your gear in the closet for a bit and just play a 4pc w/ crash, ride, and hat for a bit though. It will tighten up your playing quite a bit.

  • very nice! i really like your way with the cow-bell=)

  • 2:00 was the sex

  • 5/5... Made those Exports sound like Beauty in a Shell!

    Nice Job Man!

  • Sounds good. What kind of heads are you using? Is it an evans dry on the pearl snare?

  • It's a Reverse Power Center I think and possibly a hazy 300 resonant.

  • It would probably still sound ringy, but if you use proper tom mics they cut out certain frequencies.

  • what mics were you using? Sounds really really good

  • just samson 7-kit

    shure sm57 on snare

  • hey dude wanna tune my toms

  • My toms don't sound that good in real life, is just the way the mics pick them up and a bit of EQ.

  • When I had my acoustic kit, it never really sounded good, so I always wondered how dudes on youtube tuned theirs. It had a ringing sound and too much resonance. I should have tried filming a drumming session and see how it sounds.

  • You can also use a bit of gate effect too to get rid of the ring but I don't normally bother

  • also green11420 sometime you nbeed to check and see if it snares on your snaredrum are tighthend corectly i have had that problem before

  • thats some great drumming dude was like in a trance watching that awsome i want that kit is it mapex ? sounds amazin not boaring at all

  • Nope, Pearl, check my profile for my setup :)

  • no doubt you can drum, but quite boring.

  • I'm so diggin the drumset dude.

    Great freestyle!

  • how do u like the export? im thinking of buying a 5 piece shell pack for myself to upgrade from my cb set.

  • perfect tuning!

  • wow! honestly from all the videos on youtube of drummers, you have by far beaten them all in tom sounds and drum tuing. if i ever heard a perfect sounding tom, this video models it. very well done!

  • Wow, thankyou, I never really rated myself as being that good at tuning them!

  • what snare head is that? it sounds good. by the way what series pearl masters snare is that? I have a 14 by 6.5 MCX

  • It's an Evans reverse power center. It's about 6 year old, 14 x 5.5 in Maple. Not sure if they were called MCX in those days but it probably is the same thing.

  • ur snares are rly loose yet ur smaller toms dont buzz. is there anything u did in particular

  • The toms have all got o rings on to dampen them. I don't usually have to gate them.

  • sweet toms

  • nice...everything i enjoyed everythign about this video, the playing and the equipment, this is really making me consider getting a pearl masters snare ive always wanted one

  • you need mor technique in your hands!!and even it is a freestylesolo change a bit your grooves and rythms!!at the and its kind of boring!!but fucking amazing sound!!

  • wow comment ne pas laissé un com apres avoir vu sa XD exellent^^

  • wow!! GREAT TUNNING ON THE TOMS!!! G2S ON TOP AND BOTTOM... HMMM INTERESTING. SOUNDS GREAT I HAVE HIDRAULIC BUT ITS TOO THICK... ILL CHANGE THEM TO THE G2 DEFINETLY!!! GREAT PLAYING KEEP IT ON!!!

  • 5:59 hell of a switch! gooood job, but it should be nice with such perfect sound, it just can't be bad yaknow

  • it doesnt matter what kit ure behind, if u suck it'll suck! he wasnt too bad but I'm just saying!

  • WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW,...that sound and solo!REALY VERY Good REALY VERY Good REALY VERY Good REALY VERY Good REALY VERY Good REALY VERY Good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Are the microphones that you used samson?

  • Yep, SM57 on snare though and possibly my home made subkick on the bass.

  • nice! :D what heads have you got on your snare? look like evans but what type?

    thanks ;D

  • Evans G2s top and bottom, dunno about snare probably reverse power center and hazy 300

  • thanks :) i sounds good

  • that was cool actually awsome but you need more crashes and cymbals that would make it sound better

  • nice man that was really cool.

i love the sound of your set all around.

    great beats goin there too.

  • wow thats really good. you're incredibly fast and have a great sounding drumset. can you give the drum specs? especcially the tom sizes please. i'm really interested

  • Wouldn't fit here so I posted them in the video description

  • woah thats real good, u make a nice sounding beat :D

  • You kind of play like Dennis Chambers too.

  • Good touch man. You have good dynamics and you play very musically.

  • Thankyou ever so much!

  • Very good techneque those doubles were perfect!!!
