Mt. Montserrat, was the Cradle of the megalithic european dolmen WAS A COPY OF TOTEM-BULL’s NATURAL HUGE SCULPTURE: The " Bos Primigenius" stand in the north side of Mt. Montserrat (NE. of Spain). The first dolmen was inspired from there and you can see a huge part of the mountain that look like a bull. You can see it in my next bilingual sites where I include a mail to mo from the professor Sir Alexander Thom: webspace.webring.com/people/or/ramonetriu/totem.html
What kind of boat do you think the craft at 1.15 would have been, a skinboat or a dugout canoe? Paddles from 10600 BP were found at Star Carr, but no boats. I think the absense of dugouts tips in favour of skin boats, built as a wicker-frame covered with animal hides, the ancestors of the corackles and curraghs.
well this made a lovely diversion from my palaeoecology revision!! Hopefully I'll remember it all for Monday. It would be useful to have at the end of the film a list of references so that I could do some more reading. And perhaps a simple map at the beginning for location.
Really like the video, but the quality of the commentary is considered to be unanimously appalling. Why damage the overall impact of the work in this way? All it would have taken would be to adhere to a script and learn what a baby dear is called!
Overall, though, it's a very good effort and I applaud you for it. Love Malc.

Do they know roughly when the land was submerged?. I'm trying to understand if it was the sea level that rose or if it was the land that sank.

The animation is set at about 6000BC, or 8000 years ago. It was the sea level that rose and covered up the land.

I'm kind of skeptical about the existence of dogs as domestic animals in that region at the time, but its nonetheless a very cool video.
thanks.
