  • My generation sucks! We got Tupac, Lil Wayne, Beyonce, yall had this!!!

  • i second that rotis i've been trying to find out about this group for yrs thanks for the info!

  • Greaaaaaaaat! Brunni, The Mysterials

  • The girl groups of the 60's were so much more better then the girl groups of today. The girl groups of today try to over do it with the sex stuff, instead of just singing, having glamour, and moving people with charm, personality, and spark like the 60's girl, they just make themselves look trashy. I take the girl groups of the 60's anytime. The Supremes and Ronettes had sex appeal, but they had class with it.

  • Thanks Rotis, appreciate the info, wonder were they are now, and further more if they are still with us, hopefully so, Regards Bear

  • The Dolls were Paula Hardin, Samantha Harris and lead singer Annie Johnson. Dale "Susie-Q" Hawkins produced them. Their best known song was a version of Della Reese's hit "And That Reminds Me". They first appeared on the Toy label and then on the Warner Bros. subsidiary Loma. The label actually boasted the term "A Spectra Production" with the girls sporting Ronettes-like beehive hairdos!

  • @Rotis59

Great group and a great song. This was actually the flip to "And That Reminds Me" on Loma, although I'm not sure it was the flip on the locally-released Toy label (was that a Texas label?)

  • Cuties!

  • Thanks Jazz.... Good info, i will look into that. Bear

  • The show is called "The Beat" and there's a really nice set of DVDs that have all these performances. Fantastic stuff!

  • great video, quality tune KtF al

  • It's a great clip! The track was released in March 1966. To the best of my knowledge the footage is one of just a small handful of performances that exist of artists and groups on the Loma label.

  • It's "The Reason Why" by the Dolls. It came out on Toy and then on Loma records. Great song!

  • Thanks jazzyjas for the correction and info.
