  • So, so sad that Deanta only recorded three albums. Mary's voice is heavenly.

  • coloratura sopranos for the win =D

  • Lord, this song epitomizes sorrow and beauty together. Makes you think about your ancestors in a different light, hopeful but heartbroken to have to leave their home...

  • j'ai découvert Deanta en 1994(ou 93?) au Donegal à Auray en France. C'était un grand moment, inoubliable!

  • Fine Derry accent hi.

  • Great!! Heavenly. that's the greatness of a singer, even without music she can enchant you!:)

  • I love Deanta, and Mary Dillon's voice is heavenly. Her version of "Dark Iniseoghain" gets me all misty :)

  • She has to be my favourite singer of ballads today.

  • mary no bother to you you sound gr8, keep them rollin

  • For more that 10 years I have an Deanta CD that I found in France. I can't count how many times I've listended to it but again and again Mary touches me deeply with her wonderful voice and her incomparable way of performing this song. So I'm very happy to find this a- capella-version of the song.

  • Oh, Joy!!! I didn't know Mary was performing. I hope there will be more. I've been pining for her beautiful voice. Cara is wonderful, but ... Mary has the voice of an angel. Thank you!!!

  • Wow, I guess incredible voices run in that family.

  • I hope that Mary continue to sing and there will be another videos. Cara is very talented but Mary is greatest

  • Can someone please upload Mary's version of Sam's John Condon. I believe if picked up by someone like Wogan it will be a massive world wide hit. A shy but wonderful star you are Mary.

  • Wonderful to hear Mary again. I'm a huge fan of the Dillon sisters, Mary and Cara. Traditional music rocks!

  • Thank you for uploading this fine video of a lovely singer, who seems to specialise in singing even sadder songs than her sister Cara, who I absolutely adore. Cara's new album "Hill of Thieves" is quite wonderful and is due for general release on 26th January. The prodigious musical talents of the Dillon & Lakeman Families are quite breathtaking. I have a cold & have just supped an Oirish Hot Whiskey, so thanks to the Emerald Isle for its wonderful singers & fine beverages that are so soothing.

  • great performance
