  • Me dejó con dolor de cabeza (headache).

  • Comment removed

  • its the shit

  • I asked for a tutorial and they gave me an ad

  • Does this also work with speech?

  • why do i not see the v-vocal effect on my sonar 6?

  • what would make this better than Melodyne?

  • Great tutorial. But now I'm totally dizzy because of this drunk cameraman

  • ha ha - great demo - i REALLY recommend the CC option... its hilarious!

  • can you extract vocals with this ?

  • This is in case you or whoever the singer sucks at singing, like most modern pop music

  • this device will definitely open a lot of careers for wannabees with little or no singing talents.

  • is there any software including v vocal under 100 dollars

  • this is something i definitely would love to buy, ty for sharing this video!! cheers!! :))

  • can i download it ? or i have to buy it?

  • @123Niky yeah yu gotta buy it,its screwed up

  • i went from cakewalk to pro tools and logic..... im never gonna look back again

  • How do I make my songs sound good studio quality ?

  • @ParadisioFilms use good mics, and edit it professionally (compression, equalization, mixing...), its the only way.

  • @ParadisioFilms better equiptment

  • sounded kinda like rihanna towards the bottom of the pitch ramp

  • Is he using Cubase 5 here??

  • how do i get vocal i dont know why am nkow why am not getting v vocal

  • jawas geht den so bin so irgendwie einsam wer mag mit mir schreibn hab auch einige bilder

  • overuse the compressor??? the compressor is my friend!! i have a few really powerful ones that are very transparent....no pumping...the compressor is your friend in controlling..not altering dynamics!!!

  • this is actually quite impressive. before I came across this I was using a 'light' version of sonar without v-vocal. I had a heck of a time tweaking the vocals. now SO easy

  • 9:15 pitch scale is siicckkk

  • can it correct vocal that sounds like ur holding ur nose to a regular professional singing?

I got a friend that have a cheap mic and wants to know if it can be fix?

  • @hangc10 Get rid of the cheap mic. Garbage In Garbage Out. So you cant do much when you use a cheap mic

  • Super helpful man.

i thought auto tune was the only thing that could do that

  • With V-Vocal, you can transform your vocal recordings by correcting pitch, adjusting phrasing to fix poor rhythm, adding or removing vibrato, changing dynamics, changing key & creating harmonies, changer gender (yes, you can!) and adding the "T-Pain" sound & other effects

  • @CakewalkSoftware hey bro..ive got a dbx 166xl compressor/gate/limiter..i was sondering if u could give me a few tips on setting it up for recording rap vocals(eminem style)

i also have a ultra gain pro mic2200..so my condense goes into the 2200 and comes out and goes into the 166xl b4 finally going into my m-audio delta44..what do u think..and what would b ur advice...

  • where can i get this and is it free? also is it complicated to figure out?

  • @BTKITTY1 ... I use cakewalk software and I love it. easy to use, especially for beginners. make sure you get producers edition. find it at most music dealers or the internet (I'm in canada so stores may be different.) most music software costs around 150$ cheers!

  • @CakewalkSoftware melodyne blows this chinese copycat thang out of the water

  • @SkyStudioFilms Melodyne is a lot more complex, and doesn't have a lot of the same features. Plus, this is cheaper. Not everyone either owns a studio, or a spoiled little daddys boy who gets bought everything.

  • @Skepsis0Metal some poeple dont pay for melodyne :)

  • @CakewalkSoftware what can V vocal do that Pro Tools LE cant? It seems a lot simpler on V vocal though. Is this Sonar's version of EQing?

  • so is this for people who can't sing or if their voice is shot?

  • basically is this like auto tune, without the artificial robotic sound?

  • Wow i actually have this program hahahah

came with my mic, i forgot about it!

    Ima check it out!

  • so is cool edit pro a part of producer 8.5? all the edit features, pop, elimination ect.????

  • No, Cool Edit Pro is made by a different software company. However, they may have similar editing functions.

  • haha...my bad, figured it out, after i left the dork message....i have 8.5 and love it...just takin awhile to get around thru it!...so much stufff....!!!!great stuff!,and thanx for such a speedy reply!

  • @CakewalkSoftware

so wuts better cool edit pro 2

    or cakewalk??

and which is easier to use??

  • @CakewalkSoftware i dont nkow why but am not getting v vocal why /??????/ am using but am not using produce edition why cant i use v vocal i dont see itt wene i right click

  • @CakewalkSoftware hey hi i want to reduce the background noise of the recording and i dont know how to do it =(

  • @angellusdark heh, well, hang blankets around your recording space to try to cancel out all outside noise. then just make sure the area around your mic is silent (except for you of course).

  • nice interisting...

  • wow... this thing seems really useful. but is it the same as Cakewalk?

  • Cakewalk is the company that produces the software, not the name of the software itself. Yes, SONAR Producer (editions 5-8.5) include the V-Vocal plug-in.

  • oh i c... sounds interesting.

  • I have sonar 6 why is it that when i right click on my audio clip the V VOCAL option doesnt come up.. am i missing something??

  • u need to install it, its a vst, i think it comes with Dimension pro..(i thinks)

  • I went to a local Sonar presentation about a month ago and they also used some vomit-inducing R&B. I guess their marketing dept. decided that they should concentrate their efforts on that audience.

  • really good info...very useful

  • what version of cakewalk is this?

  • Even with all the studio magic you can still tell when people arn't great singers, espesially when it's live

  • it costs alot for studio time

if your singer isnt on form

    this is perfect.

    factual

  • Your never going to make that weak vocal sound good

  • have you ever herd of autotunes

  • I think this is cheating! If you can't sing, practice!

  • true and it shouldnt be used for sales when the artist cant sing and the producer is doing all the work...but just for fun in a home studio its pretty cool

  • No shit it's singing, but every artist that has ever made a studio album........... yeah... what do you think the "studio" is for. xD lul

  • Yes and no... I would use this totally...It's an album... It has to sound nice... Live music doesn't need to be exact and you keep training and taking classes at the same time...Where's the problem there? you will 'Rock' the stage and have a killer album... Most artist uses these things you know?

  • it's like he's insulting bad singers.

  • Its not real anymore though recording techniques have been altering things for many many years

  • The vocal sounded better without the pitch change

  • @cheonmunka

definitely!! the processing with the vibrato added, kills it!!!

  • lol never ever you are a noob

  • This stuff is great because now all producers or musicians can become singer. Back then, a music composer have to find a singer who can sing to sing their composed songs. Some composer don't like this the singer gets all the spotlight. In today's world I think composers or producer are so much more important than singers. With a beautiful voice alone you won't get far. You need the good original songs, but now that producers like T-Pain can sing his own songs. Well, you get the idea.

  • Well, what V-Vocal could do is correct your pitch, the duration of your notes (in case you hold the notes too long or too short) , your vibrato, and dynamic. But it can not make your bad vocal good! So if you have a high pitch annoying voice or a mumbling voice that can't be fix because that is how you are. If you have a soft and weak voice V-Vocal can't make it sound strong. Luckily not many people are like that. Yeah, so V-Vocal works for most people.

  • sounds cool but, but your gonna suck ass when you perform live ya dummy!

  • yeah or you could do a britney spears special and mime lol

anyway when justin timberlake and madonna recorded together melodine was used on BOTH thier vocals to harmonise them perfectly and they are both great singers, so vocal correction software plays a big part even for world class performers

  • It amazes me how many engineers RUIN good vocals just for the sake of using their tools. I know he was just demonstrating the software but still, these kinds of things are way overused now and pretty much destroy any musicality that was in the performance. Now I have Melodyne but I probably use it on 1 out of 10 projects I mix. Also, I think if I change even 5% of the track even slightly, that's pretty heavy for me. Even the best pitch correction still sucks.

  • Amen to that!

  • What? This tool is amazing for correcting vocals.. Do you not like it because it can make whack singers sound good?

  • No, it IS amazing, though I prefer Melodyne. What I don't like is people THINK they can make bad vocals sound good. They can't. Bad vocals always sound bad, no matter how much correction you do. On the other hand, people have DESTROYED perfectly good vocals with unnecessary "correction".

  • Well then I guess I'm not understand your term of "bad vocals" then.. because you can definitely make bad vocals sound better..

  • You can make it in tune, but sounding good isn't always about intonation. There's so much more to a good vocal recording than pitch. Besides, tuning software adds this really odd distortion.

  • what's the diference between melodyne uno and the other melodynes? besides it being the lowest price?

  • i can't make my mind up between this and melodyne :S anyone tried them both, if so which is better lol?

  • get both :)

  • I have Cakewalk Music Creator 3... is it possible to get these effects with the software I currently own?

  • what is this software?

  • NICE!

  • hi m8 , can this program be used to edit rap/mc lyrics ? or is it only for singing ? also can this software help with doubles ?

  • Yes, Yes, and Yes.

Also check out melodyne, and antares VST apps.

  • I'm doing good Mike!

    Haha, great demonstration.

  • Can you Strip Vocals with this? I want to strip the vocals out of a track to use in a remix, but I don't know how. Do you know what software could do this?

    Thank you.

  • technically, that's impossible. unless, say you happen to have the instrument track that is 100% identical to the track you'd like to duck those instruments from, which then you have phase cancel to isolate the vox, but the instrument track needs to be 100$ to the original track.

  • technology hasn't come that far yet, if u cant get your hands on the acapella more than likely, its not gonna happen.

  • not reall you can do it with cool edit pro

  • yo man i have sonar LE but i can save my work after i recorded my song it wont let me save the work as mp3 so plz help me!!

    HB

  • interesting ;)

  • Hello!

Mainly PC compatible but there are versions of Cakewalk products available for MAC!

    Best of Luck,

    Cakewalk :)

  • Impressive software. Is this PC only, or is there as Mac version?

  • is this included in the sonar home studio 6 software?

  • No, V-Vocal is in SONAR Producer Edition only

  • oh, and can you get this as a plugin for cubase?

  • No V-Vocal is exclusive to SONAR

  • cool, I should look into that..hmmm..

lol @ the too much compresion comment, considering what your doing right now.

  • This is the most amazing vocal-editing program that I've ever seen, I'm so getting the demo!

  • Why does this software disable my cd burner?

  • This software should not have disabled your CD Burner. Perhaps you should call support

  • hey does anyone know what order your plugins should be in in your rack while mixing vocals?

  • I would suggest Channel Strip first, then effcts like reverb. If you're not using a channel strip I would suggest Compression, then EQ, then coloring effects like Reverb.

  • i couldent find it

  • Go to Cakewalk dot com, click on DAWS in the top Nav, in the left hand column under top downloads, the first item is SONAR 7 Web Trial

  • omg is there a demo cause i wanna try it then maybe buy it =)

  • Yes you can download a demo at Cakewalk dot com

  • This is amazing stuff.. What kind CPU speeds are you looking at to run this program fluently?

  • Minumum of a 1.3 gHZ processor. If you have anything 2 GhZ or above you'll be in great shape

  • is this the software that come with the samson usb mic??

  • The sampson USB mic comes with SONAR LE, a light version of SONAR Producer Edition. You can upgrade to SONAR Producer Edition from SONAR LE to get this functionality.

  • Do famous artist really use that? I use a vocoder if I need vocals in a song because I can't sing but for famous singers I think it's kinda fake...

  • Alot of famous singers use this kind of pitch editing.

  • What song is this again?

  • That's "Back and Forth" by Unified Tribe

  • Are they famous? Wanna be my friend? I know about music tech too.

  • I'm not an expert in Cakewalk or Sonar but suppose I have an audio file where someone is talking normally. Can you change their tone from "Whisper" to "Talking" to "Shouting" in V-Vocal?

  • Datz some bad ass software!!!!

    How much iz dat??

  • About $479 street

  • can you remove vocals from a song:)

  • Sorry this is not the tool to remove vocals from a song

  • hello can you please is there's a software that can remove vocals

  • Unfortunately it's virtually impossible to completely remove vocals from a mastered track

  • Can you make harmonies with that?

  • of course, copy the track in another and change the pitch and formant.

  • come on, the cam guy does its best to capture the important parts

  • Is there any other video explaining a little bit better the automatic pitch correction feature? thanks a lot! By the way, agree with the guy about the cameraman.

  • I was wondering how to do the robotic effect!

  • how much does this sofware cost!! i want to buy it!

  • It's included as part of SONAR 7 Producer Edition which costs about $479

  • Thats all good, but I live in England, UK.

Where could I purchase it over here? Or is there an online site?

    Thanks.

  • You can buy it at Sound Control, Digital Village, Dawsons, Dolphin Music, Turnkey, or if none of those are convenient for you you can also buy it direct at Cakewalk dot com

  • I want to kill that cameraman, but buy the product!

  • where can this be purchased?

  • V-Vocal is included in SONAR 7 Producer Edition and SONAR Power STudio.

  • Is the vocal clip used to this video from a song? If so what song, I love it!

  • Yes that's a song called "Back And Forth" by a band named Unified Tribe. You can find them on myspace.

  • How can you say that? Are you SURE (you heard it) the tuning & stretching algorithms are better than melodyne?

  • rip off of melodyne i think.. pretty much the same thing... check that shizz if you guys are using say cubase sx 3 or something like me... peace

  • Actually V-Vocal predates Melodyne

  • the camera guy is all thinkin, "oh gaaddd i'm so drunk"

  • that camera guy is most definately boozed

  • how could the chord existed? is it by itself or was it already existed?

  • very nice plugin

  • cool software!

  • I haven't been to the AES since Sonar 3 was being demonstrated. Thanks for this video Cakewalk. And yes.. Sonar 6 and V-Vocal are excellent products.

  • Love the clip, but the camera guy needs a monopod or tripod. Also, leave the camera on the screen most of the time, not the host.

  • Brilliant more like this Please Cakewalk!
