  • hot pants

  • Hi Y'all --so nice of you guys to stop by here and listen to these videos. After 4 years of silence I will be posting vids this season... be sure to come and check them out.

  • you did this all by ear? that is amazing! love vince giraldi and the peanuts!

  • ugg why is this audio panned hard left? Oh well, none the less, beautiful playing

  • Enjoyed listening to you play. Thanks for uploading :)

  • From one piano player to another, very nice!

  • I don't know a whole lot about music but I DO know what I like. I did a survey of Youtube renditions of this and no one can quite touch this one. It seems like it's just technically difficult enough that many people feel lucky just to get through it; whereas, you have the luxury of interpreting. I don't have the music vocabulary to say this very well but I also feel like I'm hearing the bass rift for the very first time... as if I am hearing notes that others are not playing, which is imposs

  • Very nice. Really great listening to this time of year especially. Wish I could play like that

  • Every year, starting in November, I stop by and listen to your videos. Your renditions warm my heart and make me smile. These songs are a part of my "happy" childhood memories. Thanks- over and over!!

  • Those chords role out like honey.

  • That was ok,but the mistakes were seen easily. Also, the keys were not exact like the orginial, but it's still ok. Keep playing and get better.

  • woot!

  • DC, getting to be that time of year soon... love hearing this again, yes, well done.... what the heck did you do to your leg? nice ones i must say...

  • very very nice, job well done.

  • I like this music...

  • r u beaten?

  • Bravissima. What's wrong on your left leg?

  • Excellente! You've captured the soul of the music from Charlie Brown and the Peanuts Gang so well!!!

  • Hi there. Just curious, what were the notes of that arpeggiation of "Christmas is Coming"?

  • Very nice! I'm dying to learn this song.

  • Hi

Can you believe you've had a quarter of a million views?? Pretty amazing. I am responsible for about 25 of them, I love your playing, I am a fan! I'm trying to learn Christmas is Coming (the middle piece) and have watched your ending arpeggio over and over trying to figure out the notes- could you tell me what you play? you could email me at foundring@yahoo.com if you have a moment to do so. Thank you! Tiina

  • there is no audio

  • something's wrong with the audio. can you please check it, ma'am.

  • excuse me but there's something wrong with the audio.

  • If you're interested, I put together Linus and Lucy on the deeeboyy channel showing the keys at both normal speed and played slowly if you want to know them. It's still a challenge :-)

    Enjoy!!!

  • Fantastic! I love the chord structure and the melody played on top. You manage the base line well. And the choice of tunes was perfect for playing a medley.. Great job.

  • Great job that was excellent!!!

  • Excellent job!

  • this is really nice (at the risk of sounding redundant)

Just wanted to put that out there

  • Comment removed

  • Hi!! i want to know, where i can get this score!!??!! Please!! :D

    :D

    i need it...!!

    please response

  • @JuanRauld --- there are editions available but this particular one is mine which I have never taken the time to write out--sorry

  • @dcstudio i like what you did the the left hand on linus and lucy.

  • @JuanRauld or you could get the Peanuts Illustrated Songbook, that's what I got

  • @JuanRauld I found mine on amazon.com a couple years ago. You've probably found it already, though.

  • Thank you. When ever I hear that I think of peanuts and I just love it.......so thank you.

And Thank You Charles I just love love you..

  • That's awesome! :D And nice recording as well :D Either the camera was positioned well or the mic is really nice or both :) Good job

  • Excellent-nice touch. I was hoping to hear your interpretation of the second bridge of Linus and Lucy, but loved the rest of your set. Keep up the good work. Peace.

  • I have a question, what is this type of piano music called?

  • West Coast Jazz

  • thank you so much.

  • The Great Pumpkin Waltz sounded perfect. I'm actually trying to learn it right now.

  • very.....very.... nice,. now put some clothes on!!

  • omg, this is beautiful :)

  • excellent!!

  • You're the best mate!! :D

  • You're amazing... excellent rhythm. I've heard these played by others and they sound so stiff and "counted" and you've really got the gift of rhythm that made these songs so great!

  • Really nice!

  • u really rock im imagining all the other instruments as i bob my head especially to Christmas is Coming

  • The music was so well intertwined with the dialogue; his pieces were always an integral but never overpowering part of the Peanuts story line and panorama. The unseen character. Entrancing.

  • THIS IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!! 5* , vince guiraldi's music is what helped 2 make the peanuts cartoons so great n my opinion

  • I hope I'll get a keyboard this Christmas.

  • where did you get the music to these songs?

  • I learned them all by ear--yes I do read music, but at the time there were no transcriptions published. (I'm old) :)

  • @dcstudio No you're not. You're wonderful. There was a time when our folks couldn't or wouldnt buy us the sheet music we wanted. 49.

  • @dcstudio That's awesome! My fiancé plays a lot of things by ear, too, so I can understand that method.

  • @dcstudio ..you're 'old' but you're Vintage GOLDEN!!!...love your enthusiastic style of delivery!!!..thanks for posting and sharing your GIFT!!!! ;)

  • wow

  • Bloody awesome playing! Well performed.....a truely festive tune that warms the heart.....!

  • thanks love ;)

  • Very good playing. I must saw that those arrangements are well done and once again very excellent playing as a piano player to another.

  • well done

  • Very good. Enjoyed looking you up and listening many times. Just had to tell you.

  • The performer lists the songs she's playing in order in the details of the video. The song @:59 is called "Christmas is Coming". The first part is "The Great Pumpkin Waltz" and the last part is "LInus & Lucy".

  • nice job

  • Christmas is Coming :)

  • Can my present be some sheet music plzzz? =D AMAZING JOB

  • You are good :)

  • Loved it!

  • Properly done. If you were five or six in the early sixties, life felt like that,thanks...

  • Sweet! Makes me happy :) Can you refer me to some sheet music, please?

  • I love vince guaraldi, and you performance.......sorry for my englidsh

    from chile Cristian

  • you have horrible eyesight. they are shorts

  • Wonderful!... I would swear though I heard half of this video as McGuyver theme song

  • Beautiful. Vince would be proud.

  • yeaah

  • I'll learn to play like you in my next life. you're so good and you make it look so easy.

  • wow yamman93...was that the year you were born...as in you are like 15-16...makes sense you would make an immature like that.

  • Hot bod

  • don't be rude

  • Hey where can I get the music for that?! Can you give me a link?

  • although I do read music, these I learned by ear before there were any transcriptions published

    sorry....:)

  • incredible job! you are one of the few pianists on youtube that understand the importance of dynamics. fantastic!

  • Even the second part of Linus ad Lucy!!! Awesome!!!!!!

  • i like your shorts

  • I live in Houston, it was August--it's hot here :) lol

  • Your awesome at the piano. Thanks for sharing your wonderful talent :)

  • Very nice!

Hearing Linus and Lucy always makes me happy. I need to go do my 'Snoopy happy feet dance' now... :-)

  • had to favorite it =]

  • where can i get this extended edition of the song? its good for loungeplaying or somtething like that

  • this is my version, I learned it by ear many many years ago before there were any notated versions available. It is great for lounge playing, gets applause every time :) I usually play it around the middle of the 3rd set when you kinda go on autopilot and start watching the clock... :)

  • respects man..tahts actually the greatest version i've ever heard

  • I remember your arms/shorts...you played "Peter and the Wolf" with some guy on a piano, didn't you?

  • I love the second song you were playing. It is called "Christmas is coming." You are an awesome.

  • you are very good, and your arms are very buffed

  • Thank you DC my Mother and Father are music teachers and as a kid I always begged them for all the peanuts song. You brought back wonderful memories

  • You are the best one on Youtube. I loved your rendition of Linus and Lucy it sounds so much like the original

  • thanks :)

  • Later in the video idiot. Try watching more than half the vid next time.

  • sweet thanks for this

  • check out guitarist, RYAN FORRESTER play his unique version of "Linus and Lucy"

  • Wow! You play really great. Do you have a video on "How to play"? I am really interested to play this song. If you don't, can you consider one, please? Thank you. You play great!!!

  • Very nice indeed. this one goes in to my "favorites" collection.

  • cartoons now are really bad, nothing close to charlie brown, or garfield and those cartoons

  • ass hole pervert.

  • um...jerk?

  • You and asgm16 really are pervert ass holes. You completely disregard what the video is about and disrespected the music she played. Go watch your porn and stop commenting useless sentences about how much a pervert you are.

  • funny... this seems like a useless sentience to me... though not perverted i must say. But yes i do see your point; however, next time don't even pay them any mind. Just let them be...

Once again... i've posted a useless sentence that has nothing to do with the video...

    hmmm... how ironic

  • You're right. It would've been better if I hadn't payed attention to them.

  • can someone say heartless idiot??

  • mmmmmm

    did enjoy that :)

  • i love charlie brown!!!! i play violin, but i wanna learn to play piano just so i can learn those songs. too bad i dont even have a piano :(

  • i love your playing

  • so what is this song called?

  • Great Pumpkin Waltz

  • You are very very talented - thank you very much for posting this.

  • I feel like I'm walking up to the second floor at Nordstrom's. Very nicely done. :)

  • Amazing! WOW! Just loved it, THANK YOU!

  • great job... but could you tell me where got the sheet music for the great pumpkin waltz?

  • I learned these by ear, but I know there is a version of the pumpkin waltz in the "happy anniversery charlie brown" book--so i'm sure it's bootlegged on the internet somewhere :)

  • I know it's the ultimate cliche... but things really WERE better back then. I remember being a kid and the peanuts were about the best thing around. Nowadays the cartoons are all harsh violent and generally negative ..

thanks for playing a great song so well.

  • im a 90s kid so i wouldnt really know but i still think the 90s cartoons were better than nowadays. everything was so ridiculous and creative. I don't care if its a cliche, everything was better back then

  • well there are some good cartoons but yea charlie brown is still my favorite. :)

    (I'm also a 90's kid)

  • I only agree with the fact of him playing well, but cartoons now are better than ever, and way more intellgent.

  • im sorry but cartoons arnt as good as they use to b. and there dumber than ever.

dont u remeba how good the simpsons use to b. now theyve lost their touch and its not quality humour any more.

by the way, excellent playing im amazed that u learnt it all by ear :)

  • This is beautiful, I envy your playing :)

Kudos to you, im hoping to get good on these songs i just need practice

  • Awsome Piano Playing! are these the original keys that Vince played in? What do you think of Chick Corea's version on Happy Anniversary Charlie B?

  • I think that Chick's version of the Great Pumpkin Waltz is far and away the best Vince Guaraldi cover to date, his solo is just INCREDIBLE.

Yes these are all in the original keys--thanks so much for your kind words, my friend :)

  • Awesome!

You're de first person that i listen this song, i think that was lost

    thanks

  • Hi what's the of this song?

There's a Brad Mehldau's song with a similar name it's Lament for Linus!!

  • What were the first two themes you played? I recognize them from the TV specials but I don't know what sheet music to look for.

  • The 2nd one is called "Christmas is coming"

  • Any chance you can make a tutorial on that entire video..I'd love to learn to play that..but I can't read music..I play by ear and by watching. would be nice if you could break it down into small digestible sections with camera over top looking down at the keys.

  • Wow-nice job. I wish I could play

  • Oh yes, his music is SO fun to play

  • Wow that was sooo good! You're amazing!

  • this is really good

    can you make a tutorial?

  • More volume needed on the video, but otherwise this is wonderfully done.-Bruce Bain

  • Your really good at the Charlie Brown music!!!

  • You're a really accomplished player...someday I hope to be as good as you. :-D

  • Very Pretty. I like this song so much. Thank you for posting this video and sharing your wonderful playing with all of us. Restores my faith in the talented world out there.

  • The peanuts theme reminded me of my childhood!! That was awesome!

  • brilliant...seriously...I wish I could play like that...my hands are small, I can barely play all the sevenths and octaves and stuff..

  • Beautiful

  • Wow!

  • Wow your really good!

  • i love it, where do you get the notes for it?

  • I love the extra note that you added in the left hand on the original peanuts theme.

  • I think I remember David Benoit's version doing the same thing. It's been a while, but I think so.

  • I love the beginning part.

  • that'd be something if a csi episdoe had at least SOMETHING resembling this kind of attitude toward an investigative process.. such a lack of etiquette overall though in America.

  • So very cool! You are great! I've got to get the sheet music. Can you tell me specifically which sheet music you are playing from? Thanks!

  • I'm sorry, I'm not playing from any sheet music I learned these by ear and there kind of my own arrangements. The music on my piano was something else. Thanks so much, though. :)

  • oh my gosh! where did you find the sheet music for this!?!?! I've never been able to find a version that wasn't meant for 5 year olds. Whether or not it was to buy. I've looked in countless music store and never found it! I MUST KNOW!

  • internet

  • Very good. Five stars.

  • Good job but wear some pants next time.

  • seriously man, wow

  • This makes me want to forget everything in the world and focus on how great my life is and........*sigh*. It's great!

  • I taught this to myself.....but im bad.....but your good......i want a white grand piano!!!!!!

  • Uh, That A Upright Piano.

  • its to slow and to jazzy. no offense but i like the way blackratsnake plays it. its sounds just like it sould

  • I think I'm in love!

  • Awesome!

Then second bit is my Favorite!!! Its SO GOOD!

  • Hi, this is great. You should try a song called "Good Grief" by Vince Guaraldi. I'ts also in peanuts.

  • Sweet playing :)

  • NICE

  • by far one of my favorite christmas albums!

  • Anybody playing or talking about Vince Guaraldi's music is doing a great service to an incredible musician who brought so much to everyone's lives. A little gentle criticism - don't depend on the sheet music as it's not real accurate. Also listen to the originals some more & work on the jazzy feel of them. I depend solely on my ear, so it's easier for me to do that, but I admire your ability to read it very much.

  • didn't use the sheets--learned this by ear, years and years ago--that's why it's not so accurate--thanks for your comment :)
