Otu, this is fucking awesome. I really love your songs. But I don't know why you have to always label them with genres like stoner rock and doom metal, and compare to other bands. I can hear your influences in your music but to me this sounds really original, especially the vocals. By labeling your own music you may end up limiting your own creativity. You're an incredibly creative person so don't do that to yourself.
I really dig your songs though dude. I've even put them on my iPod.
@SMatthias I probably stuck with the labeling, because a lot of people search for music by genre, and it helps view-wise I guess. I even started a channel called "stonerrockchannel" with all this stoner rock/metal music, and I got quite a following there by surprise. I post my own material there aswell.
But there are a lot of other genres I've tried out. A while ago I was in a death metal band and quite often I'd make a lot of oldschool/hardcore punk and throat singing. Also diggin the blues.
@otusqueeky1 ah right, yeah. Than makes sense I suppose, using genres to help people discover your content. I suppose I've always just had a problem with labeling and genres. I wouldn't call this Doom Metal, I would call it Otu Metal \m/
@SMatthias Oh yeah, pisses me off sometimes too. All the different "cores" that exist (What the fuck is crabcore?), and when people always argue about a band being "grunge" or... "post-rock", I don't know...
do you have a site where you can download your music?
