Its just how it's always been and to hear my family speak to me in a language apart from English is just odd, and unnatural, it just never happens lol unless we're gossiping about someone! haha

Haha that's like me with Mandarin. I can survive perfectly fine with general conversation and getting what I want in shops/restaurants/on the street but as soon as anyone wants an actual conversation with me I'm screwed! My boyfriend is Chinese and our conversations are in the weirdest mix of mandarin and english. As a person who doesn't speak Cantonese, I find yours amazing!
