  • im getting this for christmas. well this or just the regular bamoo. but does this have to be on a flat surface? i always have my note book in my lap tilting and what not, so can i have my tablet like that too? or does it have to be flat?

  • hm is it?

  • SCREW THE TABLET, WHERE'D YOU GET THAT AWESOME RULER ? :D

  • @18Annex: LOL, i've had that ruler since I was a kid. The solar panel doesn't work anymore and the calculator buttons barely work. I just keep it around cuz they are hard to find anymore :)

  • @ZomgChii Okay, I still have to TRY and find one in a store or something, but anyway, awesome vid. I was thinking of getting one of these tablets later. cause i need something small like that.

  • what about gaming? with a pen or fingers

fps game like counter strike and use a sniper

  • @THEjkllkkljkljkl That's impossible, I tried it a couple of times ^^ It's not like you think. If you move the pen an inch from the center of the tablet - your character has spun around 10 times. Pressing somewhere on the tablet, doesn't make your character aim/shoot at/on that spot, you'll just spin around a little.

  • Good disclaimer

  • Lizard-Mangzz lolz?

  • so ... now we know the size ... and it probably works ... and the size ... there is even a pencil and a blue light

Can you recommend some video covering how it performs or anything useful?

PS thanks for telling us about the size of this thing!

  • what was the size of that tablet?

  • real man use real paper and real fuckin pencils!!! lol jk

  • @pgf95 in Soviet Russia, paper and pencils use you. :)

  • would you say to buy the bamboo pen or the bamboo fun (small) for drawing ?

  • hi zomgchii. i went on the wacom and best buy websites and the only model i see available is the silver bamboo fun for $199. Where is the black one for $99?

  • Awesome review, dude. Thank you.

  • do a review on that ruler!

  • If it stops working, does it get a red ring? No, no, I'm kidding. That was quite informative, & as much as I'd like to say I would've liked to see you use it... You've already covered that base, since there are links in the description. Thank you very much!

  • i saw in best buy pag and it say it cost 70dlls it that true

    ?

  • @amagallanes222 I'm not sure on the prices where you live but the prices "should" be lower as there is now the Pen and Touch models which are replacing the first line of the regular Bamboo tablets.

  • I'm very fond of my Bamboo Fun, I'm in school for graphic design and it does everything I need while still being small enough to truck around. ^__^

  • hey do u do mma cuz u should u look like dieago sanchiez

  • Hi i recently buy this pen tablet but i cant find the serial number to install the softwares. i have understand that a notepad containig this serial number may be open but ho w exactly do i open it and its there another way to find the serial number? please tell me if you know

  • you are a very sweet guy! it was fun to watch!

  • The table doesn't have a built in screen?

  • Hello zomgchii i just had a sum up,is this item better to be bought in person at a store or online, and can i draw like decent sized pictures? :)

  • @killercroagunk777 Hello Kiiercroagunk777. I was wondering the same question, so did you find out? If you did, please tell me too, I wanna kno ^_^

  • @kinalove129 I recommend going to the store if you can because then you can see and hold the item for yourself and get a comparison on how big the tablet will be. Plus in most cases it should be cheaper as you will not have to pay for shipping and then waiting on the tablet to arrive :p

  • @killercroagunk777 I recommend going to the store if you can because then you can see and hold the item for yourself and get a comparison on how big the tablet will be. Plus in most cases it should be cheaper as you will not have to pay for shipping and then waiting on the tablet to arrive :p

  • Hey zomgchii, well this is just my sum up,Do you think it should be bought in person at a store or online? And Would it be good for pictures that are large on gimp or photoshop? I dont want to draw really small pictures :)

  • i really wish i knew these existed a long time ago.

  • PornMusic/Comments time

  • I've used a pen on plastic and it made the same sound as ur old tablet

  • not to be rude but this is the most pointless review I had seen in my life, I mean, I'm going through websites and youtube to get to know each tablets features...this 9minutes covers what others covers in a second

  • ssssssss stop using s in every word

  • Which would you think is better for photoshop sketches, this or the wacom pen? Thanks!

  • Hello ZomgChii , i want to buy a bamboo tablet for drawing manga and i dont know if i should buy the small or the medium size. Also is that tablet good for that purpose?

Should i buy it from e bay or my local store?

    Thank you !!

  • @Hikarilight24 Hello Hikarilight24, well the Bamboo series has changed since this review almost two years ago. Now there is only one tablet that is offered as Medium and that is the "Bamboo Fun". Yea...the naming is a bit confusing but check out the site to see what is offered now.

    wacom com bamboo index php

All the models now have Multi-Touch capabilities and all but one tablet are in Small size. I would say maybe the Bamboo Pen & Touch may be a good choice :)

  • no way the stand unscrews. *goes to check out* omg it does. wait... where are MY spare nibs then ¬3¬

i'm in need of some too since i can hardly draw with how short the nib is now.

  • @sugarkitty2008 Hmm that is odd, it should have come some spare nibs...I have no idea how much they cost^^:

  • you sound and act like the joker :)

  • okay its been decided this is what ill buy with my savings^^

probebly the white cuz its cheaper

fuuu cant help it im broke d:

  • lol that artwork sucks :D

  • On the pad I mean...

  • I only have one question. can you see what you are drawing?

  • no..but if you wnat to see what you are drawing you can buy a wacom cintiq..

  • @horber95

    damn....

    Thanks for the response though.

  • @horber95 WHAT?!? You can't see what your drawing?......

  • @SimlishSammy you can see it at the monitor..but not on the tablet...

    but it works excelent

  • @horber95

Really? Thanks! I've been looking for the right graphic tablet to buy and i think this one fits all my needs, you are the fifth person to say that!

  • @SimlishSammy Thank you..this is a very good tablet i have the medium white one...its amazing..

  • XD u must be rlly hyper

thats a great review though :)

  • thanxss man

  • @3:20 lol, my pencil x.x

  • Xarope!

  • Nice review man.

  • u know u could just bought a usb adaptor :S

  • How much didju buy this for? :O

  • Wow, thanks :D. I think I'm positive on which tablet I'll be getting. That really did help a lot, especially the picture.

  • nervous?

  • thanks for the review

  • thanks for reviewing the tablet :D am thinking about buying one :]

  • Serial port?!? HAHAHAHAHAAAA.... I havn't seen one of those for a LOOOOOOONG time... and that's a good thing.

Btw, I like the bamboo... that rough surface seems to me like a bullseye...

  • Hey, im just curious how much you paid for this? Im wanting to buy one from the internet, but I dont want to get ripped off :S

  • I spent $105 at Best Buy when I got this. You can look online such as Amazon or eBay. Not sure on Newegg but today, WACOM has more options now of the Bamboo line. There are the Touch and Pen options now. It supports multi-touch which is kind of iPod Touch inspired being able to do multiple gestures.

  • @ZomgChii It's only 43 on amazon right now!

  • @ZomgChii I got my bamboo fun at a apple store in a mall

  • i think i will buy 1 some day.. it's verry usefull on corel painter.. thnx for uploading this video dude! it helps me verry much! :D

  • I love wacom!!!! the best!

  • "ZOMGchii here" lol I would be excited to waiting for my wacom to ship.

  • OMFG ME NEITHER! I'm going to be more hooked on it than world of warcraft!

  • one question a have about the tablet. can i draw with my fingers? coze i dont want it to paint than i lay my hand on it :S mayby a dumb question ... but anyways. please answer

  • The tablet only picks up on pressure/motion from the tablet pen. So no, you won't have that problem. :)

  • Wow, a serial port! That's a blast from the past. Nice review :)

  • its like your afraid to get it dirty

  • i fudging love u man really nice lol do u take any pills? lol subbed

  • XD No, no meds. Red Bull...maybe lol

  • this guy is obsessed with tablets! marry it!

  • Well I was happy lol

  • lo this guy is crazy..i love it!!!!

  • We're all a little crazy =p

  • Nice review! I especially like your humor throughout the video! 5 stars. I own one also and love it. However, I have problem, I set my ring to zoom but in PSE6 it doesn't zoom, it scrolls. No matter what I do. Do you know how to solve this?

  • COOL!!

  • can some one please help me when im using a tablet wacom bamboo like it would always get stuck on something when i click. for example when im on pivot and i click on a red joint it would get stuck on the click action and i cant let go of it unless i use the mouse some one please help!

  • Hey, thanks for putting in the time for us without the tablets!

  • If I use corel x3 for creating designs, will I be able to draw something with the tablet then import it to corel, will it come in as vector or jpeg?

  • i was wondering if i could use if this one could also use the touch feature?

  • @magzpie1 nope, the touch models are called Bamboo Fun Pen & Touch. I can't imagine touch helping much, so if you can get one of these used or new for a good deal, I'd go for it.

  • well i bought this one for exaclty a 100 dollars

so i guess id keep it

  • for some reason the place you are in reminds me of toy story

  • Bright blue walls and the lime green box are the same colour as the toy car in Toy Story(:

  • You gave me a big smile when i watch the movie, Thanks now Im a Bamboo fun owner to...

    Merry Christmas

  • Lol the way the vid is starting.LOL

  • he looks the kumar for Harold and kumar!!!

  • holy crap. he does!!

  • hahaha yeahhhh

  • i wouldhave appreciated it if u just put it to action....

  • OMG u waste too many time... I want to see it in action!!!

  • agreed!

a little waste of time, but some nice parts, THX!

  • I think you spend wayyyy to much time measuring the obvious

  • wait wait. I think you need to config the photoshop before the pressure would work ^^

  • No you don't. I've used the same tablet with CS3 and CS4 without having to go through any settings, drivers, or plugin downloads and have the pressure sensitivity work perfectly fine =D

  • you use mac?

  • I use a PC, but I've also worked on Macs as well.

  • how much does it cost?

  • 199 $

  • thx i think i need to start saving money to buy one =P

  • buy the medium size its better

  • Does the pressure work in a program like Gimp?

  • thats a pretty cool ruler with a calculator on it where u get it ?

  • if i this, wud it work okay with photoshop?

  • It does work it works with all editing programs even paint o.o

  • thnx

  • I have a bamboo fun.

Fun to use and very good!

The pressure works with photoshop. I know people working with it using photoshop cs4 64 bit

  • so the pressure doesn't work with photoshop? wtf? i dont want it

  • well, I see a lot of vids that tell that pressure work in PS.

I don't know about that since i will get it on firday.

  • hey is the bamboo fun better than the new bamboo craft?

    btw, great review ;)

  • I`m looking to get a tablet for coloring mostly, how accurate is this ?

  • Hahaha, remember me? I commented on this vid like MONTHS ago. XD I didn't have a tablet at the time. I just asked you a question about it. Well, I have one now and I tell ya what. I love it. I have the blue Tablet. It's awesome. Your tips help me so thank you bud. :3

  • i swear ive seen u on 3rd rock from the sun...

  • hahahaha - yeah right!

  • I loves the nerd ruler. awesome.

  • they are way too expensive for me. But i like the design and the supposed paper and pencil texture.

  • Does it come with the type of photoshop you can draw with?? And if not, what kind of photoshop can you draw with??? D: help!

  • Yes this will come with Photoshop Elements 5 and Corel Painter Essentials 3. Both are very good programs to help get you started with using the tablet :)

  • lol your like a kid with a new toy. lucky you.

  • hey, i got one of these wacom bamboo, but i got 1 prolem... i wanna use my mouse aswell when like surfing on the internet and play games, but it just dont work because the wacom bamboo is like the "main cursor" (or how it spells). is there anyway i can do so i can use "both" of them???

    please answer asap :)

    take care

  • you can i think all you need is 2 USB ports i can on my mac

  • the sound quality on your camera sucks, but i enjoyed the video ^^.

i was having trouble choosing what tablet to buy, but the fun tablet is smaller and does come with the software, so i cant wait to get it :D

  • Yea, can't do much with a microphone from the camera^^; Wish I had one of those clip on mics you put on the collar of your shirt^^ Anyway, i'm glad you liked the video anyway :)

  • Hey on the Wacom Bamboo canvas that little screen with buttons with the "Texture" when you draw on it is it black or does it turn on and have a screen

  • my aunts going to give me one too...not to b mean pr anything but...u watch chobits!!!!!!

  • Hey nice review!

I'm going to buy one now for sure!

  • What bamboo tablet the fun one or the pen one would be better for an anime art?????

  • Mine doesn't have a rough surface....although I've had mine for 2 years or so now, so it might have ..smoothed out a bit since then..However I really don't remember it ever being rough...

Although I just taped a piece of paper to it..so..yeah..I have it anyway. xD

  • hmm that's an interesting idea to put a piece of paper on top of the tablet surface to mimic the texture. I don't know if it will hold very well though. The way the nib is shaped will easily scratch through the paper :(

  • This vid is just SO setup by the company, to make it look like a regular guy testing it.

    Puke....

  • is it wireless?

  • If you watched the vid..he said at the start that he needed a "USB" tablet....and near the end he shows the ring...and it has a cord comin off of it.

    so..no..not wireless.

  • "the Intuos II Serial Tablet...

    yech."

    Classic

  • thx man.

    good stuff!

  • I have a bamboo fun(small) and Im no where near as good on it as i am on paper even though i had it for at least six months. Im thinking of getting the intuos 4 (in small) should i do it or is it not worth it?

  • I have a question, How much costs of this what's converting Rupees? Please tell me

  • 1 dollar is about 50 rupees. So its 5,000 rupees but, it could be cheaper.

  • Ok. Thanks for telling me:). Here've not that wacom tablet. I want it. Hey, Tell me please, What's the best wacom bamboo or Wacom Cintiq? Hi Brain, You did very good painting. Keep good it up. I mostly love painting but I only use on the paper and sketch etc. I never painting on computer so I have not wacom tablet..I am trying to exploring them and I need to learn on computer=). My name is Diana Haroon and it's nice to talking you=).

  • Hello again and thanks for the nice comment^^ I never owned a Cintiq and i'd sure love to have one^^ That's the only model that allows you to draw on screen live instead of hand-eye coordination with all other tablets. Still really good though :) Hope you have a good day Diana^^

  • Hello Brian, You are most welcome=). Ok. I really want it=). Yeah I have a good day thanks and hope you too,Brian:))..

  • hey there, I'm not sure on the currency standard when converting Rupees to USD. Depends on the stock market I guess XD. I will tell you though that the Rupee is doing way better than the Coin in the world of Mario =p

  • Ok well, I am going to ask you,Brian that will you help me to bring that wacom tablet for me? And Will I sending you money? If you don't mind me because I harder find out here but I never found=((.

  • I don't think I can. Mainly for safety reasons, I can't accept transactions overseas or in different places. You can get these tablets online though. I can recommend Amazon, eBay, Tigerdirect, and even Newegg. Those sites will have a variety of tablets to choose from :)

  • It's ok. I can not order Amazon and eBay like those links.. Because I told you that I have not a credit card(Pay Pal). Then it's ok. Thanks for your kindness answering.:)

  • your indian? me too!

  • No, I am a Romanian:)

  • Okay... I have a question. You said you can unplug it so it goes around like a notepad, but does that mean the picture comes up on that screen?

  • No, he was implying that its extremely easy to carry around. (: .

But that's a very cool idea, no?

  • That would be pretty epic XD

  • If you wanna make sketches and colorize drawings, is the Wacom Bamboo or Bamboo Fun Small then best for that?

  • bamboo fun, definately

  • Could why explain why?

  • I love your voice ~~~ <333

I'm thinking about buying one in a few days, and I want to know if it's a good first tablet, andddd, if it's good to do deviants/memes? :D

    Thank you for this!

  • I was wanting to know the same thing. Will this tablet be a good one for learning to use tablets? I plan on buying one tonight or tomorrow.

  • I don't know if you have brought or not by now but yea this would be a good investment to learn on your first time with the tablet^^

  • Hey, sorry for the late reply. This is really good to have for doing memes and anything artsy for Deviantart^^ All tablets can do this so it's pretty much a given :)

  • Much better than Gobbypowers review called "Wacom Bamboo Fun and Intuos 3 comparison" His review was so biased.

  • I laughed so hard reading your comment. XDD;

Gobbypower should go die. His review didn't tell us anything besides the obvious - a more expensive tablet is most likely better. ZomgChii's review was 5/5, no doubt.

So I agree with you in the fullest.

  • I just saw his video on his Bamboo review. The comments seemed to gear more toward his sister and the comments they made lol. Yea, the review was more opinionated than stating out the facts and possible questions. =/

  • I was worried about it being too small too.. thanks for the review, and I must say for a review that was actually pretty entertaining. 5* and I checked out your other vids and subscribed.

  • I have it, It's not small. And it's the best Tablet ever.

  • I just bought the Wacom Bamboo Tablet

It's little diffrent as this one but, i thing it works almost the same?

please leave a comment if u know the diffrence!

  • I just bought the silver one, I love it.

  • It comes with PS Elements and Corel, but bundled software is never as good as the full version and they are not about to bundle a $400 piece of software with an $79 tablet.

  • what about the programs they come with? im not buying photoshop so that would be the programs i use.

  • cool but what if you have a pc? would the tablet you had before be better if you have all kinds of compatibility? also do either of them come with different programs? (sorry I'm looking for a good tablet)

  • Bamboo is great for vista and xp. I also suggest ArtRage. Google it.

  • I wanna buy a Wacom Graphire4 A5 but i also want to buy a Bamboo A6, and i want to know witch one is better....waiting for suggestions

  • Comment removed

  • Purchase any Bamboo Fun tablet at participating online and retail stores between 07/26/09 and 08/31/09 and receive $20 off any Bamboo Fun small or $30 off any Bamboo Fun medium. BestBuy and Staples are the only stores they excluded. I bought mine at the Apple Store yesterday. The rebate form is on the Wacom site:

    wacom(dot)com/bamboo_rebate

  • the bamboo is the cheapest ive found(69.99)
