  • I remember meeting Michael Pate many years ago when he was in Matlock Police,my half brother Colin Gersch was the set designer for the show for quite a long time, and he introduced my family to him on a visit to Melbourne one time, and also another character,Grigor Taylor..wonder what happened to him, haven't seem him around since the show ended. All I got to do was say hello to Michael.

  • @catey62 - Grigor Taylor left Matlock to star in "Silent Number" (1973), later "Glenview High" (1977), and "Butterfly Island" (1988). Hasn't acted since the late 80's...

  • Driving like a madman is dangerous enough. Not wearing your seat belt is even more so. I've had my share of driving accidents, some of it other people's fault, some of it mine. In either case I've been wearing my seat belt.

  • Michael Pate voice-over?

  • @cam68 - Sure is!

  • @Conniptions886 ahh matey seatbelts were made compulsory in our state in 1970 so this would'v been raising awareness somewhat for the new laws

  • And drive safely, eh? Don't drive like a maniac!

  • The road toll back then was shocking.

  • @idak12 I understand the carnage on Australian highways at the time was the inspiration for Mad Max and THE ROAD WARRIOR.

  • Well, thank god for small favours. i've been involved in accidents where I'm glad I was wearing them.

  • Wow, thank god there wasn't a graphic scene in this ad.
