  • Pretty amazing. Great work! Thanks for your dedication and for continuing to post entertaining and quality multitracks...

  • plz where can i find the sheet music

  • speaking as a totally paid-up member of the danny fong fan club, i thought the first two thirds was a bit loud and hard-edged. maybe i would need to understand the words. i was glad i stuck it out though because the ending was amazing, though more tenderness would be welcome. :)

  • @jd7x7jd Thanks, I can easily admit that the first part is a little abrasive. But I couldn't do much better considering how high it was in my range.

  • dude, i'm in shock. i sang this with my choir in english under the name 'this holy night'. i think it's a different arrangement of 'let thy holy presence' or something. but i could NOT find it anywhere. thanks so much for somehow knowing what i wanted and putting this extremely well done video of the piece up. :) great stuff. you just gotta love the low E's in the bass2. i sang tenor2, but couldn't resist jumping down for that part :P

  • Shit, this is really good!

And everything else you have got as well.

  • I would really know how exactly large is your vocal extension. You got great sense of rythm so you can control breathing in any canon you sing (tenore, basso, soprano). This song is particularly difficult cause the language is a real tongue-twister and sometimes it cuts breathing. But your strength is that velvet controlled voice, and I hope you'll never change it even when vocal cords will become harder. I really appreciate you danny.

  • shit this is good.

  • If you or your brother can handle singing a B below the bass clef staff, look into "Salvation is Created," (or Spaséniye, sodélal yesí in phonetic pronunciation of the Russian). Gorgeous work Tschesnokoff composes. I admire your singing very much! I have listened to several of your tracks, as well as some by Rendezvous. Thanks for sharing and sharing your talents! If you ever come to Ohio in the States, please pass it along.

  • My choir has trouble sining this well lol.

  • I can't even handle this. SO BEAUTIFUL.

  • How many tracks of each voice do you have? This sounds a lot like a real choir. Well done!

  • @unclesaboin 2 of each, but each part is split in 2.

    2x Sop1

    2x Sop2 etc..

total of 16 tracks, closed miked but sent through two reverb filters to sound like it only has room microphones in a large area.

  • @daniscool99 Makes sense. I've used that trick before on drum tracks to simulate room mics. It's not quite the same but it's close enough for rock and roll. ;-)

  • Man, this is fantastic!!! Great mix, great voice. Keep it up.

  • dude props. your falsetto is on pitch, and you pronunciation is just fine. id like to see any of these other people do better. you sang it amazingly. and your bass is just amazing danny. keep up the good work. you should try more kings singers stuff. seriously, these people on youtube are obviously not musicians in anyway. im doing this with my quartet ( im arranging it for TTBB ) and hoping it will sound. . . okay haha. acapella for the win. cheers mate.

  • @funnytitties11 Thanks! Good luck to you and your group!

  • @funnytitties11 I'm gonna have to completely disagree on the pronunciation.

    Otherwise, nice job dude.

  • @dbosh09 The pronunciation definitely could've used work, yeah, but his falsetto was amazing :P

  • I've heard this in the original Russian version and you did it honor. Even tho you pronounce some words a bit strange ( i speak Russian) it doesn't matter. Huge respect, this piece is awesome!

  • @Ramonsoler Thanks!

  • That's pretty nuts man.

  • You have an appropriately mellow expression for this song.

Watching this in HD with Sony Marshmallows (bass-boosted ear buds) is like sex on the ears....... eww.

    Fantastic piece though.

Another song suggestion on this comment.

    Ever seen Elfen Leid?

Does the song Lilium sound familiar?

I think you would do a fantastic job singing it.

You've obviously got the ability to sing soprano.

If you do it, good luck, if you don't, oh well, just a though.

    Keep up the fantastic work.

  • @YaoiVixenBoi Thanks for the honest and thorough response. I have seen Elfen Lied and I think it's a great show and the song is really cool too. I have thought about it before actually, but while I can make Soprano noises... it's not my first choice when I look at songs. If a piece moves me, I'll tough it out, but it's a lot of work to get it sounding the way I like.

  • Your "soprano" face is...beautiful. And, of course, all of it is just amazing.

  • Those high notes make me think of The Beach Boys.

  • What program do you use to record the music? and ive seen your other videos, so how in the world did you sing the low bass?

  • omg....tht's awesome!!! ♥♥♥ LOVE IT ♥♥♥ please keep going! my teacher even show ths vid on class!!!

  • omg....tht's awesome!!! ♥♥♥ LOVE IT ♥♥♥ please keep going! my teacher even show ths vid on class!!!

  • Wonderful! We're singing this again this year..Your SATB will be a great help to the choir. Have you heard Let my Prayer Arise Like Incense?...get chills when I hear that one. Thanks again.

  • I was absolutely spell bound. I swear i listened to this over and over like, 50 times. And you didn't autotune it? You are freakin amazing! You have an amazing range and an incredible voice, You will go far in life.

  • gorgeous. Russian is no easy either. I was absolutely Spellbound.

  • Oh Danny. A few of us were looking at pictures from this greystone trip the other night. I think you sing this better than all 40 some of us did haha!

You remain as always, incredibly talented and I enjoy listening to you. :)

    Megan

  • @meggeggo Thanks Megan! miss you!

  • Too Bad I lost my HIGH SCHOOL concert CD. They thought we were Professonials...

  • WOW

    Trevororrell

  • LOVE IT LOVE IT

    trevororrell

  • O.O I want to sing this in a choir now... so badly. It'll sound just as epic! :D

  • Fantastic!

  • uh.... wow... O.O

are an angel in disguise or something?! :D

  • this is cool, but ure a bit strained in soprano section arent ya? :)

  • oh i lost my words

    that was so wow!

  • Hideous accent, sorry... However, range, intonation, ensemble and rock solid consistency of sound all absolutely astonishing. Keep up the good work!

  • I've sung this song two different times in English each with different lyrics, this was the first time I've heard it in another language and i must say i enjoyed it a lot. Thanks

  • Hey, excellent video. I love that you even decided to post something like this- I might try something similar soon. :D

On that note, your diction sounds too American. If you will just tidy that up, this'll be a fucking impressive video. :3

  • I need to play this while walking down the street. Methinks it would make life epic.

  • I can hear your love for music in this video (and the other videos). Respect for your talent and dedication. Never give up your aspirations!

  • I can hear your love for music in this (and other) video. Respect for your talent and dedication. Never give up your aspirations!

  • 1:49 to 1:53 is my favourite chord change :D

  • HOLYmother, AMAZING! congrats =)

  • You are amazing, and the pronounciation is pretty good too!

(Just a hint though, in 'duh' the ending 'h' needs to be more pronounced)

  • fricking sweet dude!

  • Dear GOD, this is awesome...!

  • Thank you :)

Soprano is not easy to sing.. oh god.

  • I hear that. But I`ve been trying to find the lyrics for this song, with no luck...?

  • YOU ARE TALENTED BRO! 5*****

    KikoHei

  • dude! that was freakin' CRAZY MANNNNNN I love it, its awesome

  • How do you hit those high notes so well? I am a Tenor 2 in school and I have hard times hitting certain notes and holding them for so long. This video is so awesome!! Keep up the good work man.

  • Holy cow. I didn't think anyone else out there cared too much for the Russian masters. You get 5 stars for the Russian and 5 more for the outstanding execution.

  • whoa, transformers posters.

  • Oh, also you're awesome and I'm super-jealous of your voice; I thought that was implied, but I'm just making sure you know.

  • Отлично! Excellent! Great work!

  • autotune?

  • @bambam111992 Nope none, if there are any parts that you might think sound similar to it, it's likely because there is 16 tracks, even though only 8 have videos. I doubled the parts so if one of the two parts is flat or sharp, it may simulate a similar effect.

  • Wonderful! You have an incredible range and masterful control in all different parts of it. Beautifully done, Bravissimo!

  • omg, this is my fav, from all the videos i´ve seen from u

  • So you can try to sing Galway Bay in Multitrack , thas very interesting for me to hear an irish old song in this multitrack version. You have a fantastic voice

  • What would be awesome in this is if you could do a Viktor Wichniakov like, or Vladimir Pasuikov like basso profondo track.

  • Ok, I guess I got it wrong. No problem. By the way my major in college was music theory and compositian. I have sung in barber shop and mixed groups too so when I say you are extreamly talented take it to heart and just keep singing and making music!

  • @eagledg It would help if you spelled compositiOn correctly...makes it a bit more believable.

  • As always, excellant. Shortly after you released a new on that you sang 8 or 10 or more tracks. I can't find it. Hopefully you didn't take it down, it was the best of all. Can you help me out?

  • I don't know what you're talking about.. All I"ve done is Lullabye with Brodie and Nightingale and they were 4 tracks each

  • Thanks for the great sound. It's beautiful. I would love the music for our satb choir.

  • do you have any idea what year this was composed in?

  • Wow.......you are so versatile. Your music sends shivers as I listen.

  • Best video so far. Everyone's doing barbershop and it gets boring. But this is unique and it's exposing everyone to this wonderful music.

  • @michaelsaunders77 Thanks :) I like to expand my repertoire with different styles!

  • I apologize if I upset you... my English is more wrong than your Russian pronunciation!

You have a great voice, great sound!!!

  • AAAA+++++++ for sound

    B+ for the pronunciation

    SOUNDS AWESOME!!!

  • @mihaivioara Thanks! I don't know ANYTHING about the Russian language, so I'd say that a B+ isn't half bad. I love the sound of the piece and thought that was inspiration enough to record it.

  • all i can say is... DAAAMMNN!!!! that's amazing.

  • The part at 1:07 reminded me of Bach. :P You = win.

  • Danny, it's my first comment anywhere on anything and i couldn't think of one more appropriate. I'm not Russian -- I don't know the language or the pronounciation. But if you had just sung "doo-doo-doo-doo" it would have been the most AWESOME thing i've ever heard. You leave me very weak. Thank you for letting people share this wonderful talent you have. I'm completely in awe of you. Mike

  • @mikekui Thanks Mike, I always appreciate comments, especially when they sound as sincere as your own.

    Dan

  • Ouch, the pronunciation could use some work.

  • @trunkingham I'll get right on that.

  • The faces Soprano 1 makes are hilarious...

  • @Gramasule Yeah.. no kidding. Try singing those notes comfortably.. not easy for mid range tenor.

  • Don't sweat it. I usually just use my falsetto. You should too, its liike muscular relief. I'm a bass and I sometimes sing Soprano from time to time, so you should have no trouble!

  • Dude, this i like... pure awesomeness. The goosebumpe-factor is at it's peak!

  • Thanks! ^_^

  • my face has melted yet again

  • Quit looking into the Ark of the Covenant, then!!

  • thank you, i'll consider this the next time i'm in the desert and in search of lost treasures that the nazis are after... once again, thank you

  • Well, since we're on the subject of tying this into pop culture movies, is Pavel Chesnokov any relation to Pavel Chekov? ;-)

  • not in the least

  • Awesome!!!

  • phenomenal ... dan, hearing you always lifts my spirit ... thanks <3

  • Mr. Fong outstanding job. I have enjoyed all of your music here on YouTube! 6/5

  • dang. wow. amazing. speechless.

hahaha you sound better than my skool choir!!!!!

  • This is really wonderful. Great tuning, great range. Keep the videos coming!!

  • Superb!!! Only thing wrong is that it is way too short! Should be 2hrs 34mins, not 2mins 34secs! :)

You need to clone yourself so you can perform live :)

  • Thanks :) I liked it too!

  • awesome awesome awesome!! perfect tunning and all. just amazing! what program do you use? Mac computer or what?

  • this is truly awesome! ur a great a singer with a great range! although a liittle lacking in the bass area but still VERY good! you kinda look different in this vid compared to all ur other vids :P how so?xP

anyway keep up the good work and u can tell brodie cuff and andrew to make more vids i'd like to see more of them too ;)

  • DUDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I once watched all your videos all at once and I'm sure that was my Danny Fong jag lol

It's nice you've been putting on more multi-track videos. And I was awed to find out that this one's in Russian!! Sounds a bit weird though;P

The thing is, I LOVE RUSSIAN!! It's so beautiful!!

    !!!(sry I'm still hyper)

  • Wow, this is FANTASTIC!!! So in tune! So well blended!!! And I like the russian language, sounds good!

  • Waow so beautiful Danny

the beginning of the piece gave me shivers so I found that beautiful and smoothing!

  • thanks Ced!

  • do u have a compilation album of all your tracks? i would like to keep one...you are awesome!

  • I have all the tracks.. they are not in an album... they are all singles I suppose.

  • Quite good. Quite.

  • i forgot to say jks, and that this sounds amazing

  • Wasn't offended; It's dark brown :)

  • Wow doesn't really explain why my goose bumps havent subsided. Very well done young man,

    Brian

  • that is really awsome !! maybe u could make a "the making of ... " all the songs for ue mulittracks !! i guess that will be cool !

  • Yup, it's good. Epic too

  • awesome job! this is beautiful

  • Fantastic job once again Danny. Absolutely beautiful.

I feel like this is the kind of music that would play as Jabba's men were taking the frozen Han Solo away. Haha. Maybe that's just my nerd flag going up. :-)

    Great job regardless.

  • Hey, what multitrack/mixing software do you use?

  • Thank you for sharing this. It is beautiful!

  • Wow. That was amazing. I've been waiting someone to take this mutitrack trend and take it down a classical path. Thank you for this.

  • Fantastic singing.

  • Bravo!! A pure delight!

Please do more of these. Love the classical sound.

Suggestion: Ya Shall Have a Song from the Peaceable Kingdom

  • That is incredible. I wish I had of gone to school at the U of S so I might have tried out for Greystone. I have a few friends you may have sang with that are from Swift Current.

  • Oh yeah? Could you name a few?

  • I would like to hear you do Musica Animam Tangens by Joshua Shank

  • Ian Hanson, Jillian Cyca, Navid Robertson to name a few

  • Yup! I know all of them :)

  • That was FREAKIN AWESOME!!!!!!!!

  • Amazing dude.

  • without words

    5*

  • That was beautiful!

I don't usually bother to rate videos, but I rated this one. Unfortunately, there isn't a way to rate it more than 5 stars.

  • I sung this in honor choir. Such a wonderful piece! You did well :)

  • So smooth! Thank you!

  • That was absolutely amazing.

I have to say, though: the "comment, rate, subscribe" thing in the middle of the duet was kind of distracting...

  • This is really awesome. I loved it. The range between parts was also amazing

  • you are cool! i luv this its amasing!

  • I closed my eyes and let the music wash over me. This was an experience more than just music.

  • Holy cow! Awesome Danny! This is a favorite now.

  • I love this song!

I sang it for 2 honor choirs, and in my high school choir. Beautiful.

  • beautiful. thanx 4 sharing

  • I think this is your best yet. Great mix and reverb. It add just the right amount of warmth. The range between the parts was spectacular.

    OUT STANDING!

  • that's fabulous - beyond words...

  • Nice job, Danny! I put this on my facebook and about 10 of my friends put it on their page. It's getting its rounds!

  • I noticed! Thanks! I always appreciate it when people feature my stuff.

  • ME TOO!

  • Hah, You said "But I was too late..."

    I can see why man!

    - Nico/Vanish129

  • I actually teared up at this one. Beautiful.

  • Very well done. Excelled version. Love it !

I really enjoy the blend on the bass, as you get closer to the mic to allow for more boom/boost but without overdoing it.

Do you think your brother would have helped a bit with the bass and differenciating the tone of the voice?

  • I'm sure he would've. But he lives across the country and is very busy with his own life haha. Scarborough actually took about 4 months to get his parts finished and sent back to me.

  • you never fail to impress great job man

  • great job, just make sure your 'd's don't sound like 't's. Also in this style, make a more vertical sound. This sounds too popish.

  • Just amazing!!!

  • Wow! That was Haunting Well done

  • Pronunciation is a bit shaky, but overall, great video!

  • I want to hear some Gesualdo Danny! Come on man, i know you got it in you.

  • Maybe on the next one Paul ;)

  • very very good ! - again well done - 5* from me ! and best wishes from Daniel to Danny ;D - hope you might visit my channel - CU

  • Thanks Dan for another piece of good and inspiring music.

  • Very nice upper end on the soprano! Did you actually sing it in that octave?

  • I did!

  • NICE! Color me JEALOUS!

  • Beautiful! You have a GREAT range!

  • Very nice Dan, fantastic as always.

  • FYI - the song title Duh Tvoy Blagiy means "Let Thy good Spirit" - the words mean "Let Thy good Spirit, lead me on a level path. Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia"

  • Thanks, I have that in the sheet music too, I suppose I didn't word it too well in the info bar.

  • Dan, nice adventure into another type of music. You are blessed with an incredible voice. We are blessed with you sharing it with us.

  • Thank you :)

  • Nice job, man! I really like this one!
