So you expect a victim to "fist fight" their mugger, rapist, attacker.. so little old ladies, single moms, old men.. these people all need to 'fight fair' in your eyes?

You are foolish, you only can bring outdated, incorrect justifications for your POV to the discussion..

I suggest you do some reading of what crime ates are like now that CCW laws are common in all but 2 states.

You have eyes closed to the real situation and just cry about things you 'think' might happen

  • @renaissanceknight

One big reason for the second amendment is to protect ourselves from our own government. The founders wanted to ensure that if our government became tyrannical that the people would have a way to revolt and maintain a free country. How can we take down a tyrannical government if we only have our fists up against their modern military weapons?

  • @renaissanceknight First, you can't even spell Militia right.

Second, you didn't get the 2nd amendment quote right at all....

Third, by Federal Law still on the books right now, EVERYBODY in the USA from 16 to 50 is considered a Militia Member whether they know it or not.

Fourth, the original translation is Thou Shalt Not Murder. Self Defense is 100% acceptable in the Bible.

  • @renaissanceknight You really are a fucking idiot, Renaissance. Tell me, how am I supposed to protect myself from gun waving gang bangers? Well? Well can not block, nor deflect BULLETS! Are you that stupid?

  • wow here in canada we have such strict ass rules like no guns for self defence only 4 hunting cause of the aboriginal rights also the cops in my hood do this pistols 4 pixels thing where u trade in a gun and get a camera in return

  • @carlnardo What a rip off!

  • @carlnardo I better be getting a nice ass camera for my $700 glock.

  • Great video! Every gun owner who wants to keep their guns should be aware of these laws and what they represent. Thanks for the post!

  • Hrm..got no clear idea on it yet John, but, i will deff check it out..my son is a collector of sorts, but has never bought accross borders. Given the 911 hysteria im guessing it would be wicked hard to do..even 9 yrs later, our mail is ransacked here in NePa, making it slower than a snail & just as iffy...if i hear anything substantial to your Q will hit yer email up with the infos

  • @NuLiForm ok great thanks

  • any info on antique guns importing from canada a byer of a large collection of guns that are flintlock up to old breach loaders and deactivated machine guns thanks great video

  • @johnkhutchison2008

    Sorry, no but good luck

  • @GunWebsites ok thanks great website

  • or maybe countless hostages rescued by l.e. s.w.a.t., or countless innocent children defended by civilian sheepdogs who stopped violent crime in its tracks. or the several game animals harvested every year donated to the homeless or families in need. or the economic boost from the job and sales market created by the firearm industry... the list is endless. STOP BEING A LIBTARD... WE NEED YOU TOO AS A FELLOW INFORMED AMERICAN.

  • @micahgee... I will tell you what good has been done with a firearm. Howsabout defeating the british so that you could sit FREELY at your computer and speak your mind, or the fact that your primary language is english instead of german leads me to believe that you weren't oppressed by the nazi party...

  • Can outsiders (those people woh live on visa in US e.g. Indians, Mecxicansetc.) buy guns gears and other things??

I know i have lots of questions but its necessary to me

  • Is there any tax on gears and tactical optics??

  • @ rohan9621

No, no tax on gear or optics

  • My problem: although I've never owned, or fired a gun in my life, nor have I ever been commited of any crime, I have read that people who are being treated for anxiety/depressive disorder may not be able to buy (and/or own?) a firearm. Although I am being treated for this condition, I am neither suicidal or homocidal. I feel that I'm being unfairly generalized into 'the mentally impaired' group. It's not like having a schizophrenic or anti-social disorder patient with a deadly weapon.

  • so it makes easyer to buy arms or it makes more difficult ??

  • The goverment in USA is stupid, guns kill, prohibit gun use, stop violence, easy.

  • where can you cite evidence of that theory actually working in the world?

  • Evidence? No gun, no shot gun, no die. Easy enough for you?

  • not at all

  • Great video, very informative for any US gun enthusiast.

I am wondering your opinion on Gun Show laws that allow unfettered transactions of firearms without any check of criminal history. Do you think that all firearms transactions should require a background check of some sort?

Keep up the good work and God bless!

  • There is no "gun show law"

There is simply the ability for citizens to freely trade among themselves as we have for over 200 years

Do gas stations or the government decide who buys gas?

Do hardware stores or the government decide who buys screwdrivers or hammers?

Does an office supply store or the government decide who buys paper & pens?

I could go on and on listing things that can be used for EVIL as well as good

IMO we protect people by keeping them free, not by collecting tools

  • you cant honestly compare selling a firearm to selling gasoline or a hammer. While many tools and objects can be used lethally, a firearm is a tool specifically designed to kill.

What "good" is done with a firearm? Isn't the goal to kill something? I am playing devils advocate.

So by having total unfettered access to guns, just like hammers or screwdrivers is your opinion, is freedom, regardless of the consequences?

I believe in the 2nd Amendment but seriously, no background checks at all?

  • We haven't needed 'background checks' for 200+ years.. what is so different about today that requires them?

Imagine a society with a few people who fight back lethally when attacked

Criminal cowards would have a reason to think twice before an attack on let's say a little old lady or a young school kid

I didn't say it would be perfect, but I ask why is it automatically a 'negative' when the possibility of CONTINUED personal freedom is approached?

  • You are asking what is so different about 200 years ago and today? Try to kill 30 students in a school with a musket!

The problem is that those criminal cowards can arm themselves just as much as we do, thanks to a lack of backbone of politicians in front of the gun industry and the NRA.

I watched almost all your video, and i will continue to watch them, they are very informative, but you need some ethical studies too.

  • A coward can do a lot of damage with a can of gas, with a bottle of poison or with a screwdriver..

do you plan to prohibit those tools also?

Are you going to tell grandma she can't carry a revolver to defend herself from a crazy guy, because you fear what some crazy person might do if they had a gun?

ethics is what you do when no one is looking..

How many criminals practice ethical decision making?

Would giving the criminal the advantage be more ethical?

    To you, preparedness is bad

  • I come from a country where guns are completely prohibited for everyone except the police and the army. I can walk around at night in the city and being shot is something that cant even cross my mind.

    Now, Thats true freedom!

  • What country? What city?

Do you want to walk around a US city at night?

  • I cant run my car, or repair a door with a gun. Micahgee already made a point to that.

Im from Quebec, and of course not, I wont walk around in a US city at night as any nutcase can buy guns legally. If he cant, then ill buy it illegally. Your answer to that is arming yourself with even more guns. Dont forget that criminals started as ordinary people, defending themselves too.

The only argument I think is valid for pro-guns, its that it is part of your culture, but culture most evolve!

  • You are wrong and you have an emotional bias against guns.

You say "any nutcase can buy a gun" that is wrong, there are laws against that and those laws are enforced

You are willing to overlook that to attept to make a point enforcing your emotional arguement

You are also attempting to put words in my mouth. I never said the answer to the fear of guns is more guns

Your fear of guns might be cured with counseling

However an armed society discourages violence, that was my point

  • yes, Micahgee, it is used to kill... I have been told that the police are not there to defend you.. It might take them 20-45 minutes just to get there... Having a weapon that you can defend your self with could be critical in you staying alive... The criminal isn't interested in your safety... At least be interested in your own.... Is buying a gun the same as wanting to use it for criminal uses..? No.... Procecute the criminal, not the protective citizen...

  • If you hadn't released the mental patients, you might not have a bad problem with the mentally ill getting guns....

  • Great video, I'm glad you're taking the time to address something as big and important as this.

  • thanks, we have a couple more in mind too

  • please explain to me how any of these laws are good? they are all unconstitutional, and they all have nothing to do with protecting the rights, liberty and property of people. they are threats of violence against peaceful people and only really affect people with no intention of harming another person.

  • ohhh, you won't get me to defend any of them

They were a good experiment to see how little effect stupid laws are..

but it's about time to remove them, no?

  • For sure. Last time I checked, criminals like gun laws because they're a joke and the only people following them are not criminals. What does that do? Make us an easy target.

Just keep the simple laws on the books when it comes to firearm usage. If you don't threaten anyone with it, or use it on someone, or try to purchase one if you're a felon (and I'm starting to becoming iffy on this), then why need anything else?

  • Wonderful video. Very informative.

  • I like how you made a timeline. I'm going to do the same when I teach my NRA class. Thanks for the idea!

  • Thanks, I think it was OK, but it's more impressive when you add all the other laws I left out.. I couldn't read it with too many though because it was so small..

I suggest making it a bit bigger and including all of them

  • thank you for another great and objective video, gunwebsites

  • good video

  • what kind of guns can i buy legaly in michigan? hunting gun and self deffence guns. thank you for ur information

  • Sorry but I'm not a lawyer or retired, so I can't take the time it would take to research and post that kind of info..

but please do since it effects you, then link to us and we'll help get the word out together

  • Most places allow shotguns. These are perfect for both hunting and self defense IF you can take the recoil. My favorites are the Mossberg 590 and Remington 870! shorter barrels and longer tube magazines are better for home defense but not so much for hunting. Just go down to your local gun shop and ask around, they will know what you can and cant have.

  • shotguns are great for home defence, but hunting? thanks for ur coment

  • Shotguns are great for hunting.. everything from squirrels, birds, and even deer

  • i like long range guns. that is what i ment

  • Ducks, turkey, squirrels, rabbit, deer, and many others can all be taken with a shotgun! If it can be hunted, a shotgun can take it down. When looking for a hunting shotgun, you will be looking for a longer barrel with a shorter magazine tube (due to capacity restrictions in hunting). Im not really into hunting so I don't really have a preference on hunting shotguns. I think there is a Remington 870 wingmaster that a lot of people like for birds.

  • Thanks Brother!

  • Thank you for the information and look forward to you series of videos. Should be interesting to see what information you have gathered.

  • The 1968 gun laws were copied DIRECTLY from NAZI gun laws that were created by Hitler's minions to render "enemies of the state" defenseless. Visit JPFO (jews for the protection of firearm freedoms) to see the proof. The author? TOM DODD (D-CT) Another democRAT..Shocked? Vote these RATS out in 2010!! Vote any democRAT or republican that supports racist gun control out. Your guns will be seized just prior to US being enslaved. RESIST!! Vote the rats out in 2010 while we still can vote.

  • I live in New York and to honest the laws here are absolutely crazy! Our freedom's in this state are being killed left and right due to the terrible degree of corruption in politics. These unconstitutional laws must be done away with but NYC politicians have far to much power.

New York gun laws are roughly like the Federal Assault Weapons Ban of 1994 but New York does NOT have a sunset provision.

You really need to study New York law before buying, selling or transferring firearms in NY.

  • IM1greatpatriot: Look up the "Sullivan ACT" that prohibits you from carrying guns. Sullivan was a corrupt NYC politician who was paid off by gangsters who were tired of being shot/killed by merchants they were trying to rob. It is a fact. The law was put in effect to disarm the good guys protercting themselves and their goods from criminal gangs. The thugs never cared about laws...they were criminals! Check it out for yourself. The US is in trouble my friend...vote out the libs while we can.

  • You're absolutely right my friend.

I know about most of the corrupt politicians and unconstitutional laws. It's terrible to see where this county is heading and I will do everything in my power to help make it better.

A few years ago I was no better than the average hooligan but I now know that this country is much bigger than myself and must be protected for future generations.

    Thanks for the information brother.

  • thanks for taking the time to research and make these videos...this is an important subject that can help people recognize the legal trends towards private firearm ownership. hopefully people recognize the trends and support the organization that have undertaken the endless fight for us to be able to own guns. Thank You

  • make no mistake, the U.N. will use Americans tax money to attempt to remove our rights.I was reading on the Gun Owners of America site how Harry Ried (D-NEV) just played games with our all 50 state recognized CCW legislation.

  • Thought about it.. but we are not finished with it, so not yet

  • looking forward to the next vids. since I'm in Illinois I have fewer rights than the rest of the country.

  • i agree with

    jokerchat

the gun laws in new jersey are completely ridiculous and then if i went over to new york the laws are even more strange the government really is not making it easy for people to exercise there national rights

  • someone make a video with a overview of the laws, I know a lot of others (out here) are interested in such things

  • gun laws in nj sucks ....good video

  • Im impressed with your efforts!

  • thanks

  • I tried to start researching California guns laws but my head began to hurt because to the pure stupidity of them.

  • @CleanHappyGlock I know, in this state they will ban things simply by the name. They ban silencers but, not muzzle breaks, they require your magazine on an AR-15 to be WELDED to the gun so you have to manually load it through the receiver.

  • Comment removed

  • nice, you need to post this to many websites, send it to our senator or whoever and see what they can do

  • Always important to know your rights and to test them, before they are taken away. Great video, keep up the good work.
