Hi. I don't want to be offensive, but I would suggest that you don't handle the fish you are going to release like that. Take the photos quickly, hold the fish with both hands, don't hang it like that. Do not touch the fish with dry hands, and do not put anything under it's gill covers. Do not throw it to the water. If possible, release it by putting it slowly in the water, and let it swim off on it's own. It will get seriously damaged from mishandling, and can die shortly after releasing.
@saxmastasteve u can tell by the way their fins are like how forked the tail fin is and they dont call blue cats blue for just any reason so its easy to tell its a blue
this is blue catfish because channel cats have a white silverish stomach with a black or silver line running from the gil to tail and would have black dots on it and channel cats have a more rounded head while the blue catfish have a falt one so if ur gonna post vids at least put the right fish
hey retard, nice job killing a fish and not eating it...i'd like to punch you in the face... if you lived where i live, you'd have a pretty tough time coexisting.
Ok nevermind not a manmade pond but a manmade canal. All i am saying is that channel catfish just dont get that big unless humans interfere. I am jealous though because i know i will probably never catch a channel cat that big.
I guarantee this was caught in a small manmade pond. There is a good chance the pond only had catfish in it and they were fed by humans. In other words channel catfish just dont get this big naturally
im suprised a hmong actually released something for once
