Anyone wondering why you would make this video: I was about to take mine apart so it would fit more easily on an xbox360 but I was not sure what it looked like on the inside. I'm not sure that exposing the chips to the air would be a good idea though. Thanks for making this video, now I know!
I did the same thing to my same model usb drive after i bought myself a tuff n tiny. What I did differently, though, was carefully take off the white part and wrap most of it in electrical tape. I plugged it in to make sure it still worked, and it did perfectly! It's a lot smaller now and less of a pain, although it doesn't have a lasso. I'm thinking of putting a bootable linux on it.
You could put the actual flash drive into another housing. Hide 8 gigs in a case that says 2 gigs, or put it in something creative like an NES controller.
haha i wish mine had been so easy to open! took me about 15 minutes with abour 4 screwdrivers and i managed to break all the catches lol. it was broken anyways, and whne i opened it that gave no clue ;(
Hi, I have a 2GB SanDisk Cruzer Titanium that no longer works for whatever reason. I disassembled it to find that absolutely NOTHING is wrong with it. Do you know how to fix it? D:
thanks for makin this vid now i know how the heck that thing slides, i thought it was just the usb jack that slid out but thats even easier, the whole thing does
Hi, I suppose to you bring it in a TV servicing to you recovery this device.I see the broken parts here is it a little repair in the PCB board.Forgive me for my bad english!!!
I guess you got a new one. It is cool to keep old technology though, to see stuff change and play around with old school stuff. When I get new cd players I like to take apart my old one too, but then I regret it. But I do have the same flash drive and I always wanted to know what the inside looked like so thanks for posting this.

@UberNerdConsort This was so someone could see what a flash drive looks like, or how to open. Whatever reason you want to use.

By The way a Cruzer Titanium is impossible to take-apart BECAUSE it is sealed with NO hooks or click in's AKA clips.
and you cant get the TITANIUM in 2 GB.
UpGradePowerXPS 2 years ago
Well you can't tell me that because
1. I have a 2GB Cruzer Titanium.
2. I opened it up, using a SCREWDRIVER, and pried it from the keychain strap hole.

But i just did tell you that!

It's pretty much impossible, its the electronic that have failed.
