I'd say use of deadly force is understandable in a situation like this. The suspect has the ability to kill the officer because of his training and size. I don't even think a tazer would have much effect on a huge bastard like him. This is a perfect example of how important it is to always thoroughly asses the situation and prepare for the worst case scenario. I would of had my gun pulled the second he started resisting and a bullet in his head the first time he attempted to hit me.
