About the Rebecca thing: basically, Rebecca was an added character; I think that she was meant to be replacing Debbie in the film, but the thing about Rebecca is that she's not fully a human, she's a monkey girl (again, something that wasn't in the original books) and that's why she has a tail :) x

Great Movie! It's a movie, they have to change alot of things from the books. John C. Riley was great ! GO SEE THIS MOVIE! YOU WILL BE HAPPY YOU DID. Steve is actually played perfectly.

carmac limbs name was changed to carma (kar-ma) limbs cause carmac was to irish i guess (they americanized it to much) but debbie having a tail WHAT THE HELL?

I agree with all of your comments/concerns. I realize that it's not a page by page, "true" adaptation so to speak of the saga, but there were just too many changes and it's a bit too comedic for my tastes. The little people, Steve and Larten are my biggest concerns. At this point, I'm still debating whether or not to see movie itself - out of pure curiousity if nothing else would drive me to see it.

Alan Rickman's voice is amazing, I agree with you on that point too. ^.^

Hey Lauren, Rachel and Whetos. A few pointers from me and a friend. Quit you whining, Ok the little people are completly wrong we will agree with you on that. And Larten has a wrong scar but leave john c reilly alone he is actually good at it :L Oh and lauren we know hes not purple but his name is pronounced murloch not murlow[thats a wine] overall a very entertaining video and whetos you look like the undead! Why is everyone so concerned for the cast. I can understand the fear of John C. Reilly but if has ever seen a movie of John C. Reilly's besides Stepbrothers. He was in The Aviator, Chicago, Gangs of New York, and The Perfect Storm. HE WAS NOMINATED FOR AN ACADEMY AWARD. GIVE HIM A CHANCE. He did great in all those GREAT serious movies. Stop listing your concerns. First, see the movie, then list your concerns. We all know the story will be tweaked cause Darren Shan said it. But give it a chance.

Thank you!!! I have the same views when I watched the trailer and I think the trailer ruined it for me. The casting was horrible, when I look at the trailer its like a completely different movie!!! because it looks like a f-ing comedy not dark which its suppose to be
