  • Did the US actually use rusty brown color in the 1950's - early 60's for their armor? Wasn't it always green?

  • I have a question, I downladed the game off of amazon, as soon as i finished i clicked on the game and imediatly the game crashes, i am using XP can anyone help me?

also i was wondering if this game comes with a map editor

  • @BombsAway999 I'm using XP and the game runs smoothly. What vcard are you using? The game doesn't run with most built-in cards. Theres also no map editor but if you have the Blitzkrieg game I read you can use its editor.

  • Классно,уважаю.Очень хорошо подобранный саундтрек,с уважением.

  • Too bad there is no Tiger tank, King Tiger tank, or towed artillery pieces (unless you capture them) to play with.

  • how do i get the game i have been trying for ages i like the blitzkreig series but i would like a cold war twist

  • What the hell is a Goliath MLRS? Did that thing even exist?

  • Its an alternate history game like Generals.

  • yeah, but most of the units are still real: Centurion, Panther, M26 Pershing, T-44 etc.

  • I wonder what's the first Russian song called...

  • this is "Marsh of Installers"

  • There are a lot of models from WWII. Would the armies of that time actually use them in combat? Also what type of olive green are soviet vehicles painted in? its a nice colour.

  • the game is set in the 1960s, a lot of WW2 armaments weren't retired from service yet.

I hope to answer the other question but I really can't. Maybe you could check some Tamiya paint-scheme instruction out to find the answer (yes i was a model maker lol : )

  • Well, I know that the French used panther tanks until the 50's. I wasn't sure though whether a lot of the older vehicles would of been kept in reserve up until then. I'm surprised they even had m26 Pershings in the game.

  • the were used in Korea and were not retired till' early 60s

  • By the French only?

  • what??? no, the pershings were used be US only and it was not retired till late 50s (early 60s). I dont know about the french tanks, but I guess they used german tanks since you said they did...and why shouldent they??? the arabs used Pz 4s in the six day war (although not as much as russian tanks of course)

  • Well i know about the Pershings in Korea but I assumed they would of been retired before the 1960's period which the game takes place in. By the 60's better equipment had already arrived such as the M47 and M48.

  • yah, but I guess it's kinda like ANG dont ya think??? they used F-100s while the Air force had F-4s. And the ANG used F-4s while the Air Force had F-16s and F-15s. All that I know is that the pershing still could be found in second line untis in the very early 60s (60-61).

  • i have this game but i havent played it yet cos my computer sucks..

  • I like the Patton, classic tank

  • i like it... damn, the game had so many units... not as much as Blitzkrieg did, but screw that - the game was fun!

  • ya the game is good. the bad thing is that the combats are rather repetitive (and there are soooo many on a single map!), radar, airfield, supply depot,factory...goes on forever. Another thing is that the tanks are way too powerful, you don't really bother use anything else.

  • Hence the infantry is free. good song choice too. The only negative I encountered what it somehow did not like my video card, even though requierments were WAY below what it said.

  • whats the name of the first song?

  • don't know, got them all from a website called SovMusic, check it out. All the music there are for free mp3 download...though i wonder if these old Soviet songs have copyright issue :p

  • I would tell you what it is (I am russian myself), but I can't find the right terms for the proffesions used. and it's a song of builders, nothing military.

  • thanks for telling me this. Actually I know it... the first sentence is about the workers making bricks?!, like "if without these people...what and what will happen" or sth. Don't know much russian...lol

  • Nope, they sing "we are not (people who work by puting fuels into industrial machinery)neither builders are we, but we are builders(the ones which work on highest floors) and we are not bothered by that."

  • I KNOW THIS SONG LOL

  • I am working on a modern day mod of CMC. Check it out on the UNION 4BB RU forums

  • haha I kinda liked the music

  • haha some little Soviet music doesn't hurt. They are not war songs, just random pop music. It surprised me cause I didn't know that Soviet pops were actually pretty neat: ) It's a change for the pops we got now.

  • egh no kidding...American-pop SUCKS.

  • Dick head that musick is no pop, pop is for dumb greasball americans. Russians never had pop in soviet times but now they do and regret it

  • ok.

  • Pop = popular music = the people's music. This stuff sounds infinitely better than American pop
