I got that laptop too but mine had problems 3times now my waranty is over and it works perfect. I have a question does anyone know how to install mac os x on it? I know that you need multibeast i think and iboot but can u actualy install the os on that notebook? By the way its great but its very heavy ^^

Hey i have a problem with this laptop look i have a microphone a Logitech Clearchat Pro usb headset if the Adapter Power Cable is in the laptop and i have microphone ON on Teamspeak like..than i hear al background noises, and if i have the powerc cable out of the laptop the headset's Quality is really going UP really better microphone quaity my voice rises only when i speak .. why is this problem can anyone help me!? pleaseeee

@laserbunker i just ordered an acer 7730 in a store , and the guy told me that this laptop wasn't built for 3D games and such. you can play stuff like tetris on it, but nothing heavier.

I have 8930G and i am not happy with it at all. I cleaning it every 3-4 weeks, and my opinion worst service from all have acer. Dell have great cstomer service...

I've got one too, made quite a few changes after I got it though.

Love it to bits! :) The subwoofer didn't work properly at first but that's because I installed the sound driver the wrong way lol.

The graphics card is a square MXM card underneath the large cover on the base. I'm not sure what upgrades the laptop can take though. Only the 7730G has the MXM slot, the normal 7730 (with Intel integrated video) doesn't.

@hunter1st1st The 7736 is a newer type, it has a 16:9 aspect ratio screen rather than the 16:10 screen on the 7730.

@czaezaar: There's loads of different 7730 specs out there so you'd need to do a bit of searching. It's discontinued now.

Maybe you played it too long? If you can feel the heat THROUGH the keyboard, then you might have damaged it.

Its safe to say, this is as good as it gets so far for the pricetag i paid 560euro total. On the asus site its 899.

7730 has my eyes and ears, ppl say its a B brand, well i had a toshiba (ex topmodel by now) like year ago. Costed us 2000euro (!!) piece of crap sorry to say so! Overheated constantly P4!

Vittu ku on paska läppäri LAADULTAAN. Iloisesti viikonlopun testailin ja XP.en ohjeiden avulla heitin onnistuneesti Vistan tilalle. No ei muuta kuin yön yli lataamaan Steamistä DoW 2 beta ja aamulla kokeilemaan. Ja sen jälkeeen jumittaa kaikissa peleissä ja sovelluksissa KOKONAAN, virtanappula ainoastaan pelastaa enään.... hv Acer

Itsekkin käytän samaa konetta. Ollut käytössä 4 kuukautta ja on ilmennyt pari vikaa. Näytönohjaimen lämmöt ovat 3D pelejä pelatessa huimat 96C parhaimillaan. Toiseksi näyttö tekee saman tyyppistä väreilyä kuin käyttäjällä hemanaco, mutta vielä pahemmin. Lähtee Anttilan kautta huoltoon pariksi viikoksi. Onko sinulla toiminut ilman ongelmia?

I play a opensource game (even more demanding then games of a dvd or hd) at a resolution of 1440x900 or so. Full detail..

I can tell you there is a huge gamers pc here in the room that does not BEAT this laptop (considering price/preformance ) wise!

And trust me were talking about a duocore 3ghz vs the tiny centrino duocore found in this laptop. Acer is like top brand if you look for great value for you money !
