  • Faaabin is right really, just because his abs are great doesn't mean he's doing them right, I've been doing ab workouts for around 6 years now and the look awesome only problem is that I have fucked my back in the process. Thus meaning just because his abs look great ain't mean one little bit that it's doing the rest of his body any good

  • @JocicNicol Proper form has something to do with my physique? He has his hands behind his head which can lead to pulling on it forward, straining the neck. I don't see why this seems to be so far out there.

    I belive it´s a sweat suit. It gets really hot in there and you sweat alot. Then you use weight easier. It´s very common amoung boxers.

  • Generally yes, unless you are genetically predisposed to gain and lose fat from certain areas faster then others. You luck out if you grow your tire slowly and lose it fast vs your thighs for example.

  • You can't decide for yourself if you want to use the fat on the thighs or the abs as an energy source.

    The location of fatloss on the body is nothing we can decide on your own, unless if you wanna use a knife.

  • I know. That is what I meant by saying "You luck out" . We have no control over that but the point is that the fat is not removed evenly from every part of the body. One can burn fat more in a specific part of the body but with no control over it.

  • I was always told that when you go down on a crunch your stomach should go up and relax a little as you breath in and when you crunch and go up that you should try and bring your belly button and stomach down to your spine. Is this wrong? Because in this video it seems to be the opposite

  • I believe his work out. I am female asian soon consider myself athletic. Right now, I am doing the PX90. This video shows you how to flatten or lose fat in your stomach. Is not about looking like him is the way of doing it. It takes time to see the result and motivation is a must.

  • i have had similar problems but it depends on 3 things. How old you are, how much mass you are going to put on, and TIME. After a while the skin will start to stretch back to normal, younger people have an easier time because their skin regains elasticity much quicker than an older person. It might take very long and there will be permanent damage. Not all skin will go back to the way it was if it was stretched our really badly. It also helps if you build muscle to fill in the space. cheers bro

  • sure, this way you'll hard abs but the cold truth is that most people won't be able to see them if they just do crunches all day. You have to eat a balanced diet of fruit and vegetables, protein, and carbohydrates. No sweets or fatty stuff at all! That means no chips and twinkies! AND YOU MUST EXERCISE REGULARLY!!! Running a few miles every day, biking, rowing, whatever. You need to get your overall body fat percent down if you want protruding abs like this guy. Diet, exercise, crunches.

  • it takes a while, you don't get it over night. work hard.

  • mate. conventional ab workouts wont get you a six pack. you need to do crunches on a decline board with a weight behind your head first the normal way and then alternating between right and left. do as many as you can until you can do no more and do it only once evry 2 days. be sure to consume atleast 30-40 g of protein within one hour of each workout. thats the best you can do for a six pack. once it starts to work less, just up the weight your using until your abs can get no stronger.

  • and you're reasoning is the stupidest thing i've heard. firstly, doing 100s situps and crunches will only strain your back. they may tighten your abdominals but will do virtually nothing for getting a "six pack" secondly, training your abs with 3 weighted sets thrice a week on the other hand, will not only tighten them but cause them to build muscle. the 2nd best thing you can do to expose your abs besides doing high intensity interval training to burn off the fat that covers them.

  • you've given in to stupid training stereotypes. those simple abdominal workouts are designed purely for functionality and help tighten them for sports such as boxing. if you've actually got a six pack while doing them it has nothing to do with them at all, but rather the cardio you must be doing to burn the fat that covers the abs.

  • Firstly the 15 yr u replied too stated he is of athletic build with 10% body fat. so u can stop with the idiotic fat burning tips. Secondly to suggest body resistance exercises like this vid - do nothing to condition your abs, is plain stupidity. Weighted resistance crunches are fine, but u need to actually VISIT a gym, repeat the set in the vid (x30 for each), feel that burn and then talk 5hit about them having little effect.

  • I personally don't totally agree with that statement but it's safe to say everybody is diffrent, that is my point. Crunches done with cables weights get me fast results, but when i can't attend the gym, crunches as above did exactly the same. I also built me orignal six pack using simular movments as above, and doing simple things like chin ups or dips, but with my knees rasied at all times thus contracting my mid rift. Again everybody is diffrent tho.

  • exactly. and you misread my post, i didnt say that this has no effect in CONDITIONING the abs, just that it isnt the best thing to do to build strength and size in the muscle. fitness is a buisness where there are 1000s of expert opinions and even research contradicting each other but you are right, everyone is different. although in hindsight, doing 15-30 reps of a weighted crunch is much better than doing 1000s of reps of crunches from both the time saving and strength building aspects. but if

  • For you and any other fat guys doing countless crunches and seeing no results, you must run! There is no other way to put it. Watching your diet is needed as well. My 240 pound buddy loss the most weight, by starting for the first two weeks building a good aerobic base by running 1 mile on te first day and adding a fourth of a mile each day. then he started intervals of 100m 10 times every other day. good luck and lose weight

  • I dont recommend running every day. try running one day and swimming the next.

  • even better than running is doing full body workouts with lighter weight than normal and not leving any time between sets, doing this you will stay in fat burning mode for up to 3 or 4 times as long as running, so you will lose fat way faster.

  • You might want to go for like 30 minute jogs 4 times a week as well, to help burn off fat which will work on your abs as well.

  • cardio along with running will deffinitly burn fat, but eating right is the most important part of being in shape, that means no more mcdonalds (or at least only once or twice a month) and start eating fruits and veggi's. i guarentee if you do that along with sit ups you will be in great shape.
