It is a USB condenser microphone for recording via computer. costs about $89 US on ebay.

Designed to pick up sound that's directly in front of it, like in this video.

I personally recommend the Shure SM57 for close range stuff, but I've heard they've been used as overheads on drumsets, which is weird because they're very directional. As for more range, Studio Projects makes an amazing condenser mic.  I have the C1 condenser. It's quality is amazing. eBay has them pretty cheap.

My version is not edited at all. The sound you hear is pretty much the raw recording. I like my recordings to be raw and honest =D

I'm pretty sure his one is edited though. The added reverb is very apparent in his version.

He is a far more experienced musician than me though. I am merely a novice following his footsteps~
